I have a background in animal behavior, shelter medicine, dog training, and I’m Fear Free certified. I only take one client at a time in my home. My golden retriever and I volunteer with a local K9 search and rescue team and specialize in rescuing missing persons. During the week (Tues - Thurs), I work outside of the home, but I have a flexible schedule and will come home for midday care. My own pets are never left longer than 5 - 7 hours. I have a fully fenced in yard, and out on walks, I will use a secure harness lead for added safety unless you prefer otherwise.

About: I grew up on a farm, so I took care of cats, dogs, and various other farm type animals like horses and cows quite frequently. I also have a cat and two dogs back home that I take care of whenever I go back home. I’m currently waiting to hear back from multiple full time jobs, however this can take a while so at the moment I am usually free 24/7 for any pets who need taken care of! If I was to take a dog to my home, I have plenty of space for them to roam around inside as well as plenty of places outdoors to walk, or even go to the dog park if they enjoy going there. Both my dogs are rescue dogs, so I always worry when they go to a new place. I had no need to worry. When we did our meet and greet, they did well. During the time they stayed with Erika she sent me pictures and updates regularly. There was a small issue with one who has a sensitive stomach and she immediately reached out to me to confirm how to handle. She was willing to give a probiotic every day, to keep my boy on his schedule. I appreciate all those details very much. It is such a relief to find a good honest person to take care of my pups when I need to be away. I will definitely use Erika again.”
