“Kennedy was great! She was very easy to communicate with and our dog loved her! She was very prompt and reliable. I wish she was staying in Athens after graduation!”

About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was little. We used to have a golden retriever and I had a lot of responsibility for him. We now have several cats who are all very needy. I always make sure they are taken care of. Additionally, I love taking care of my brothers dogs, which are the dogs in the pictures above. I am currently working part time, so my schedule can change from week to week. If I am working I can take breaks and provide potty breaks. I will use all available resources to make sure your pet is as comfortable and cared for as possible. I am very good at understanding what they want/need by their actions.
About: My husband and I have been taking care of a variety of dog breeds and ages for many years. From friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even our daughters' pup. My husband and I are both retired so at least one of us is home majority of the time. This allows us to give your pup the attention, time, and care they deserve. We have a fenced in yard with plenty of space for your pup to run around. We love to go on walks as well, weather permitting.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve cared for dogs for years through personal and professional experience. I’ve worked for multiple veterinary offices, taken vet tech courses, and worked at PetSuites, so I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’m experienced with feeding, walking, playtime, potty breaks, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’m patient, dependable, and I’ll treat your pet like one of my own. IMPORTANT: For boarding, I want every pet to have a safe and comfortable stay, so I do have a few requirements. Pets must be house trained, comfortable with children (preferably around young children daily), and owners must provide a crate for overnight stays if their pet is crate trained or may need one for safety and rest. I’m unable to accept unspayed or unneutered pets at this time. I also ask owners to leave clear written instructions for feeding, medications, routines, and any behaviors or special needs so I can provide the best care possible. For house sitting, I will be there most of the day but if I have to leave for anything I will be doing so. I also will not be spending the night as I have a child under the age of 2. I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I have a flexible schedule and can give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting, and I can work with your pet’s usual routine as much as possible. I know how important consistency is, so I’ll make sure they get lots of care, attention, potty breaks, and love while you’re away. I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own home. I’ll follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special instructions you leave. I’m respectful of your home, attentive to your pet’s needs, and I’ll make sure they get lots of love, patience, and care while you’re away.
About: My 14yo Dachshund-mix has been in my family since her puppy years, and in her old age I wanted to maximize her health-span/quality of life. I walk her every day, make her food, and keep her strong with the occasional wrestling match. (: I have quite a wide range of availability, only working part time for the time being. I'm always hitting parks around me so your dog is in for some adventure! My apartment complex has a fenced in dog park to burn some energy in and possibly socialize. If your dog likes to run in the range of 2+ miles, I'm always looking for a jogging buddy. (:
“Rachel was great with Grace! Provided us with updates on how the walks went, whether or not she was eating while we were gone, and her overall mood. The pics of Grace she included in the card were great, too! Thank a ton!”

“Cameron was great. We had a last minute change and could not take our puppy out like we normally do on lunch. She was quick to respond and was accommodating on short notice. She went above and beyond to make sure our puppy was comfortable when she put him back in his crate. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Marlyn was great, per usual! Had gotten some surprise buckeye football tickets and needed a spur of the moment dog sitter for the day. Only one person came to mind in this panic and that was Marlyn. She has watched our sweet Stella before and did such a great job. So much so she didn’t want to come home haha. Marlyn sent pictures and kept us posted the entirety of the day which always puts us at ease. 11/10 ✊🏽”

“Awia has been the best dog walker for my dog Duke! She went above and beyond caring for him as an elderly dog and cared for him like one of her own. recommend her highly enough!”

About: I have experience pet sitting for neighbors and through a dog kennel. I love each and every animals I meet and will not leave until every need is met! I currently on summer break and have plenty of time to spend with your pup! I prefer to keep Sunday’s free. However, if your dog needs me I’ll be there! I currently have a gsp and take him on walks every morning. We have a large yard so he gets to go out and play often. When watching others pets I make sure to check on them at least three times a day. I tend to stay longer at night so they can wind down and get comfortable before I leave.
“Cecilia was fantastic for dog walking. Communication was clear and timely. She really helped us out. It was a short notice request and she truly came through for us. She sent us pictures of Hero on their walk, he looked very happy. Thank you Again :)”

About: Lifelong dog lover and reliable walker with hands-on experience caring for many dogs, including my own, Ziggy and June. I understand that every pup has their own personality, energy level, and routine, and I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and cared for on every walk. As a teacher on summer break, I have open and flexible availability for walks, drop-ins, and pet care throughout the week. I’m reliable, responsive, and excited to spend my summer staying active and caring for dogs! Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Leah stepped in to walk my dog while our regular walker was on vacation and she’s awesome! Leah was very communicative, took lots of pictures and was consistent with her timing every day. Our pup LOVED her, and we did too! We will 100% be repeat customers with her and would recommend her to others as well :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
