About: I have always had a pet, and was a dog groomer for two years, as well as became certified. I worked at a pet store for 3 years! I am available 24/7 for pet sitting. They will never be left alone in my care, as well as going on walks whenever you’d like! My cat is my baby so I completely understand how loved your pets are, and will be sure to give them the same amount of love.
“Keisha was absolutely wonderful with my cat Sophie! I loved that she shared pictures with me everyday which made me feel like I was in touch with Sophie even when traveling. She was very communicative and kept me posted on all of her visits. I had forgotten to turn my dishwasher on after loading it before I left and Keisha was so helpful to turn it on for me!”
“Josh did a wonderful job taking care of Mali. Mali took to Josh right away when he came for his meet visit which really put our mind at ease. He went above and beyond taking care of her. This was our first time using a rover but I will not hesitate to use Josh again. Mali was happy and well taken care of when we got home from our trip.”

“Grace is the best! Our cat can be quite difficult and she was amazing with him! She took great care of him and I was never worried about him during our trip like I usually am. We will definitely hire her again!”

“Rachel did a great job! She dropped in to check in on my cuties (a dog and cat). She cleaned up after any messes, gave my dog her medication, gave them food and treats, and lots of love. I even received pics and updates after every visit. I really appreciate Rachel’s help and made my trip stress-free. I’ll definitely will be asking for Rachel’s help next time I go out of town.”

“Taylor is great with our dog and she communicates so well from the time of booking to post visits. She also has been available last minute when we desperately needed help. Highly recommended Taylor!”

“This is our second time working with Samantha, she works well with our furry family member and he enjoys her visits. We will continue to have Samantha whenever she is available to watch him.”

“Marilyn is fantastic with our fur babies. She is prompt and very detailed in her visit communications. On the second visit, she even won over our Maltese—that has never happened!”

About: Growing up with rescues and shelter dogs, ranging from 20-100lbs, I’ve always had a love for dogs. No matter what experience or pasts they have come from, I was always quick to form a bond with each pet my family and I have. Whether you are looking for someone to care for a senior dog needing a bit more patience and attention to medical needs, or an active and alert, playtime companion…you’ve found it with me! I have cared for family pets needing a special diet, set schedule and daily walks—to friends, coworkers and outside referrals for overnight stays or check in’s, and my favorite- walks! I believe that exercise is the best medicine and not to worry if your dog has certain triggers or lacks some leash manners. I can tailor walks and routines to what your dog needs and enjoys. I can’t wait to meet your pup! I currently work in the office M-Th from 8-3:30, so I have some flexibility during the week with times I can check in, and evenings and early mornings are easy to schedule. My weekends are almost always available! In my home, I have a Pit/husky mix. However over the 10 years of being my own dog parent, I have hosted German shepards, Belgian malinois, hounds, and other pitbull mixes. I know how to administer medications and apply topical ointments if needed. I also understand if your pet(s) need certain accommodations or requests like avoiding other dogs on walks, and certain things he or she likes or doesn’t like.

You will always receive detailed updates and photos from our time together, giving you total peace of mind while you are away. I care for pets at their own home by mirroring their exact daily routine to minimize separation anxiety. Whatever is needed from me I will gladly do!

Flexible schedule. Available weekends upon special request. M-F, 9am to 10am, 12pm to 1pm, 4pm to 5pm are only times available as of right now I have a fenced yard, and two crates available. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Harlem. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
