“Haleigh did such a great job with our energetic dog! She was prompt, thorough with her Rover card responses, and went above and beyond in caring for Turner! Would absolutely book again!”

“Leah was so amazing with our sweet rambunctious boy, I loved getting the rover cards with pictures after each drop in! We took our first family vacation since having our new baby and I felt so comfortable and relaxed knowing our pup was in good hands. Highly recommend Leah :)”

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 14, starting with neighbors’ dogs for walks and daily care. Over the years, I’ve continued pet sitting for friends, family, and coworkers. I have experience with both dogs and cats, including regularly caring for my parents’ pets and helping a friend with her two cats. In the past few years, I’ve also watched many coworkers’ dogs. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, and making sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. As a teacher, I have a consistent weekday schedule, which allows me to provide reliable care. I’m available for check-ins ands walks once during the day, as well as mornings and evenings. I’m especially flexible on weekends, when I have more open availability for extended visits, walks, or overnight care. I always make sure pets get the attention, routine, and care they need, even on my busier days. I provide a safe, calm, and clean environment where pets can feel comfortable and at home. Since I live alone and don’t have pets of my own, I’m able to give my full attention to the pets I’m caring for. I stick closely to each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions from the owner. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure their pet feels secure by maintaining their usual routine and environment. I provide plenty of updates, photos, and communication so owners feel at ease while they’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and stress free, whether they’re in my home or their own.
“Emily was amazing! Truly professional, excellent communication and response time, and she took such good care of our Riley! We felt confident and comfortable with our family member in her care. Highly recommend and will use again. Thank you Emily!”

“This is our second time working with Samantha, she works well with our furry family member and he enjoys her visits. We will continue to have Samantha whenever she is available to watch him.”

“Karlina was amazing with my three kitties! She worked hard to gain their trust and even had my shy girl sitting on her lap by the end. She sent detailed updates and pictures, and made me feel at ease on my trip leaving my fur babies at home.”

“Sadie was on time and followed our requests for our Beau Beau. She mapped out his walks on our report and sent very cute pictures. Sadie was also very playful with Beau Beau but also spent some time petting and calming him as he has a separation anxiety. Thank you Sadie!”

“Heather was wonderful with our dogs and new puppy. She took the time to make sure our shy grand-dog warmed up and was willing to use the potty break and gave the dogs the time they needed. Great communication. We will definitely call on Heather again!”

“Gina is amazing!! I cannot say enough positive things. Our wild little kitten had just gotten his cast off after recovering from a bad broken leg and was barely putting weight on it. I was in a panic having to leave town unexpectedly and she put my mind at ease and took care of him like her own. She gave him his meds, spoon fed him his food as he was struggling to eat in his cone and kept him out of trouble, which isn’t an easy task. Gina truly went above and beyond and we are very grateful.”

“Sidlali was great at our first meeting, and very patient with the possibly-overly-detailed introduction I gave her to our cats and their litter situation. I look forward to her taking care of our cats next month!”

“Our dog Hank had a great drop in visit with Josh! He won’t stop asking when he’ll see his new friend again. Josh was great! His communication is stellar and he spent some good quality time with our boy.”

“Carina is AMAZINGLY PERFECT!!!!! she was SO communicative and sent such detailed report cards i was completely blown away. this was my first time using Rover and i was super nervous but after the FIRST report card, my nerves were INSTANTLY settled. she has a true love for animals and i seriously want to recommend her to EVERYONE i know!!!”

About: Hello!! **Update** I am currently accepting walks for only 6-7am and 8-10pm timeframes. I have several repeat clients that take up the other hours but will update this if things change. Drop ins are same timeframes except for Sundays and Tuesdays I can take on anytime all day. If you are going on vacation please reach out anyways about Drop Ins as if my schedule allows I CAN accommodate for the most part with a month in advance*** :) My name is Christine and thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile :) I used Rover for 4-5 years but I moved and then was working 2 jobs at the time so I took a break and am back now! I currently live in a condo and do not have a yard right now but I’m feet away from a really great park here in Powell. I grew up taking care of many types of animals but more specifically dogs. I have 3 dogs of my own, all different breeds and personalities, which really challenged me to be able to learn and grow with taking care of dogs. I am working on opening my own location for a Doggie Day care business but until then I would like to gain even more experience and slowly earn loyal doggie clients. Mainly available for walks 7 days a week. Mostly open for drop ins 5-7 days a week ! I have a flexible schedule for last min bookings My 3 pets are EXTREMELY LOVED and spoiled! They have their own closets, foods, toys and even a room dedicated to my cats and dogs in case they just need that alone time away from the humans ! They receive the upmost care for grooming and vet clinic as well! My wallet is never happy when it comes to my pets because I just find so many ways to love them and spoil them!
“Destany was an excellent sitter for our girl, Noodle. She came over to do a walk through and picked up the routine without issue. She was a great communicator and sent lots of pictures while we were away. We’d definitely recommend her to anyone needing at home drop-ins! We’ll be rebooking her services again in the future. Thank you, Destany!”

“Marlyn was great with my anxious pup. Violet was nervous when she came in and Marlyn took the time to make her comfortable. She provided visit photos and it was clear that violet was happy and relaxed with her. I will definitely work with her again!”

Theresa was great with my 2 kitties. She was so sweet when she came over for the meet and greet, I can see why she has a lot of repeat business. She went above and beyond while sitting by helping me out with a package I received and also watering some plants. She also sent me plenty of photos of my fur babies which is really important to me. I will definitely use her again when I am out of town.

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Danielle took such wonderful care of Hazel and Earl, giving us total peace of mind while we were away. We loved the daily updates, thoughtful notes, and cute photos that really showed how happy and comfortable our cats were. Highly recommend!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Africa. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
