“Rachel did an amazing job taking care of our two cats! She was very communicative and proactive, and we could tell they were well loved when we arrived home after a trip. Thanks so much Rachel!!”

“Rachel was absolutely excellent. She was easy to work with and took great care of our two cats. We loved the plethora of pictures she took during every visit and would definitely book her again.”

“Andrea was great with our two dogs. She communicated well and our dogs loved playing with her. She also accepted our request with only a few days notice for a holiday which was great. Would highly recommend!”

“I sent Ioana the request on short notice, and she was very happy to help. She sent photos for every visit, and even took extra time to play with the cats.”

“Sidlali was great at our first meeting, and very patient with the possibly-overly-detailed introduction I gave her to our cats and their litter situation. I look forward to her taking care of our cats next month!”

“Regan was an amazing pet sitter. The first time she came her key wouldn’t work and she came multiple times to keep trying and for the locksmith. She stayed extra long with my kitties, played with them, gave thorough updates and lots of pictures. We are so grateful for everything she did and more, it was so reassuring when we were gone for a week!”

“Samantha did a great job taking care of our Finn. She treated him with the same care and understanding that we shoutout dog. We look forward to connecting with Samantha for future care of Finn.”

“Carina, was great! This was the first time using the app and entrusting our fur babies to someone outside of family but she gave us no worries at all. The daily pics of the cats was a nice plus too! Overall, we highly recommend Carina.”

“Rachel did a great job watching my cat! Her communication and photo updates really put my mind at ease while I was away. I really appreciated her kindness and care throughout the time I was gone!”

“Maddie was great for our first experience using Rover. We have a 10 month old pup that we weren't comfortable boarding while on vacation. We utilized Maddie for deop in services to feed, walk and spend some time with our guy. She was very responsive from my initial message. We did a meet and greet several days before. She followed up with notes she had taken during that meeting to ensure she understood expectations and that we were on the same page. During her times with Joey she provided several pictures and a detailed summary of their time together for each visit. Maddie will.be the first person I reach out to should we need further services in the future. I highly recommend her to assist with anything you may need for your own pet.”

“We love Deanna as our cat sitter, she always does such a wonderful job! She’s very mindful of the different personalities of our kitties and provides great updates each day.”

“Quinn was the most thoughtful pet sitter we’ve ever had. Our cat isn’t a fan of most people but she took to Quinn so quickly and seemed so happy while we were gone. I will definitely be using them again in the near future!”

“Marilyn did drop-in visits for my senior kitty while I was out of town for a wedding, and she did a great job! My cat is like 100yrs old, lol, so she has some health problems and requires oral medications. Have you ever given a stubborn, geriatric cat pills? It's not easy, but Marlyn got it done! She also asked a lot of questions during our meet and greet and was very thorough in wanting to know everything possible about how to take care of my cat. Marlyn is kind, caring, and follows directions well. I appreciate all that she did, and I would have her back anytime.”

“Mirelsa is amazing! She has been watching my dog for over a year now and I appreciate everything she has done for my dog and me so much! She truly cares about him and his well being. She gives me great updates throughout the day and sends lots of pictures. She quickly responds to messages and requests! She is flexible. I always have peace of mind knowing she is taking great care of my dog while I am at work! I would definitely recommend her to others!”

“Grace is the best! Our cat can be quite difficult and she was amazing with him! She took great care of him and I was never worried about him during our trip like I usually am. We will definitely hire her again!”

“Andrea is a great dog sitter she handled my food aggressive dog with ease and she exactly what to do. She was so kind and helpful. Incredibly communicative and helpful. Thank you Andrea for all of your help during the holidays!”

Khalia was an amazing cat sitter for our two kitties. She followed all instructions, fed them treats, gave them lots of snuggles, responded to messages promptly, and went above and beyond in many different ways. We would absolutely book her again and recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.

WOW!!! Regan was an amazing sitter for our cat Heather. Regan arrived everyday and followed all care instructions as requested. Heather warmed up to Regan immediately and greeted her upon arrival. Updates on care, photos and overall spirit of our girl were provided every day. Regan is a gem! Thank you!

I was absolutely satisfied with the drop-in visits Lauren did for 10 days with my 2 cats! When she visited for meet and greet, the cats immediately took to her and so I felt very comfortable leaving for such an extended time. Lauren sent me copious amounts of pics of which I looked forward to seeing everyday. She did a fantastic job taking care of my little ESA's and they enjoyed her company so much I think they forgot about me-haha. I also want to mention that Lauren did all this while dealing with a fever and illness one day, and a raging snowstorm the next. She went above and beyond, which is why not only do I recommend her well-deserved star status sitting, but I will be booking with her for future drop-ins when I am out of town. Thank you Lauren!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Minerva Park. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
