Pet care experience

Where Tails Wag and Hearts Stay

Welcome to a place where tails wag, hearts heal, and every pet is treated like family. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do; it’s something I genuinely love. I’m a full-time Biology student focused on Animal Behavior+Care, and I’ve built my life around understanding animals with patience, structure, and compassion. For dogs, I have experience with puppies, seniors, anxious or high-energy breeds, and pets requiring daily medication. My home is calm and intentionally structured, with just one resident dog, and I’m careful about introductions so every pup feels safe, respected, and comfortable. For cats and other small animals, I prioritize routine, cleanliness, enrichment, and emotional comfort. I maintain feeding schedules, thoroughly clean litter or enclosures, provide play or interaction based on their personality, and monitor closely for any health or behavioral changes. I understand that cats and small pets deserve just as much attentiveness and thoughtful care. I treat every animal as if they were my own, with genuine love, attentiveness, and deep respect for who they are. Your pet’s comfort and safety will always come first. I am fully bonded and insured, so you can feel confident your pet is in responsible, protected hands.

Marlyn was so great with my doggy. She took the time to meet up prior to ensure that it was a great fit for all of us. She sent pics of my doggy and sent me updates throughout. Also her setup is amazing! I didn't have to transport my crate which is honestly such a burden sometimes. She has a dedicated space for the dogs she watches and a huge yard for the dogs to run around. Also it was great to see my dog be able to socialize with other dogs since he's in a solo dog home. We'll definitely book again should the need arise. Thanks for taking care of my fur baby Rex 😄

Marlyn took such a good care of Guava. You could see our dog had so much fun with her, Bruno her dog and the other doggies she take good care of. She added a cute little flower to Guava's collard 😍. We appreciate the continue updating and all the pictures she took. We will definetly continue booking with Marlyn, we feel confident to leave our dog with her, because we know she will be in good hands.

Schedule

Pet care is a central part of my daily life. While I’m a full-time student, I structure my schedule around the animals in my care and spend most of my time at home. When I do step out for class or errands, it’s typically only for a few hours. I maintain calm, consistent routines so pets feel secure and cared for throughout the day. Even if my calendar shows limited availability, feel free to message me, I’m always happy to see if I can accommodate.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, I provide a calm, structured environment where dogs receive attentive, thoughtful care. With a fully fenced 7-foot yard and one gentle resident dog, visiting pups have space to relax, explore, and play at their own pace. While I may host more than one dog at a time, I am intentional about compatibility and supervision so every dog feels safe and comfortable. For drop-ins, I focus on consistency and detail. I follow feeding schedules closely, administer medication if needed, provide enrichment or exercise, and adjust my approach based on your pet’s personality. My goal is to maintain their routine so they feel secure while you’re away. Every pet in my care is treated with patience, structure, and genuine love.

Pets

A typical day

Every day is built around your pet’s personality and energy! For dogs, that can mean zoomies in the yard, games of fetch or tug, enrichment toys, sunshine breaks, and small-group play with compatible pups. I carefully match personalities and supervise play so everyone has a safe, positive experience. Dogs who prefer more individual attention get one-on-one play and cozy time instead. For cats and other small animals during drop-ins, I bring interactive toys, play sessions, exploration time, and cuddles (if they’re the cuddly type!). I love keeping them mentally stimulated and making sure they feel engaged and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet is high-energy or more laid-back, their day will be balanced, fun, and full of love.

Before booking, please share important details about your pet, including diet, medications, medical needs, behavioral concerns, and daily routines. I also love learning their little quirks so I can tailor care to what makes them feel most comfortable. For boarding pups, since I may host multiple compatible dogs at once, it’s essential that I’m aware of any history of aggression, reactivity, or resource guarding to maintain a safe environment. A meet-and-greet is required for new clients, and I may require a short trial stay before longer boarding visits to ensure a smooth adjustment. My priority is always your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
