“Morgan was so sweet and patient with our pup, who typically experiences some anxiousness. She had the magic touch to make her comfortable. Morgan communicated updates and shared photos, and made sure our girl was safe and happy. We will definitely work with her again!”

“Ben was amazing with my Rikki!! He did a great job sending pictures and updates!! He left the house tidy and neat. Rikki was clearly a happy boy when we got home! Ben is an incredible young man!! Will definitely be using Ben in the future!”

“Erica is seriously the best! I always know that Clyde is in the most loving hands while i’m away. My house is just how I left it (if not, it’s cleaner) :) and I receive daily updates and pictures. I appreciate her and so does Clyde!”

“Kora was wonderful. She was very communicative and our boys (two dogs and a cat) were all very well cared for. I would absolutely ask Kora back and highly recommend her to anyone else.”

“Madeline stayed with my babies over night which I much appreciated it. She sent pictures daily of them. The 1st day with them she didn;t leave which made them feel secure. Felt like they were loved and taken care of since have 2 puppy mill moms and 3 cats which think Zoey maybe slept with her since the room she slept in Zoey has now claimed for her room.”

“Samantha stayed with our two high maintenance Velcro pugs for 16 days. She was an incredible communicator (and photographer!) providing lots of updates and photos daily for us. She kept us in the loop on a minor health issue that our senior pup was having and even gave us a heads up that we’d be running out of medication in a few days. We came home to a clean house and happy dogs. We will absolutely use Samantha again! Our dogs will be thrilled to have her back too!”

About: I grew up on a farm, so I took care of cats, dogs, and various other farm type animals like horses and cows quite frequently. I also have a cat and two dogs back home that I take care of whenever I go back home. I’m currently waiting to hear back from multiple full time jobs, however this can take a while so at the moment I am usually free 24/7 for any pets who need taken care of! If I was to take a dog to my home, I have plenty of space for them to roam around inside as well as plenty of places outdoors to walk, or even go to the dog park if they enjoy going there. My apartment is perfect for a cat as well because there are plenty of windows for sunbathing and comfortable places to take naps, and for more active cats there is plenty of indoor space to play.
“Janasha stayed at our home with our 2 dogs for 10 days while we were in Europe. She came over twice beforehand, once to meet them and another to go over everything just before the trip, and she was exactly what we were hoping to find in a dogsitter / housesitter. Janasha sent multiple daily updates, photos, videos, that gave us plenty of reassurance. She administered medication and followed detailed instructions for our 2 senior dogs. After a long flight home, we came back to a clean house, watered plants, and happy dogs! I highly recommend Janasha!”

“Could not recommend Kaylynn more! She stayed at our home for a week and took exceptional care of our dogs (and house) while we were out of town. Her communication was great and we would not hesitate to use her in the future!”

“Maggie went above and beyond to make sure our dogs were well taken care of and exercised every day. She took such loving end refill care of them. She took some great pictures and shared the on a regular basis.”

About: I'm a dedicated and compassionate pet caregiver with experience caring for both large and small dogs ranging in age from 1 to 13 years old. I understand that every dog has their own unique personality, preferences, and routine, and I take pride in providing attentive, individualized care that helps them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I am highly detail-oriented and make it a priority to maintain your dog's regular schedule, including feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, medications (if needed), and daily routines. Consistency is important for a dog's well-being, so I work hard to ensure they remain on their normal schedule while you're away. My goal is to create a positive, fun, and loving environment where your pup feels cared for and happy. Dogs in my care receive plenty of attention, cuddles, and physical activity, typically between 30 minutes and 1 hour of exercise per day, depending on their age, energy level, and needs. Before services begin, I prefer to meet both the dog and their family. This allows me to learn your pet's routine, personality, favorite activities, and any special instructions. I also like to familiarize myself with the home, including the locations of emergency contacts, cleaning supplies, and other important items, so I can provide the safest and most seamless care possible. Communication is extremely important to me. I provide timely updates, regular photos, and detailed check-ins so you can feel confident knowing your furry family member is in caring hands. My goal is to give pet parents peace of mind while ensuring every dog receives the love, attention, and quality care they deserve. I am a full-time employee with flexible starting and closing hours. I work remotely once a week. Weekends are open as well. When I am presented with tasks, I make sure that all my responsibilities are taken care of. I allocate appropriate time to ensure client and self-satisfaction. When I put my mind to it, I complete my tasks to the best of my ability. I enter and exit the house the same way I arrived, always maintaining the client’s privacy and security. If I notice any damage or an emergency arises, I communicate immediately, offering opportunities for additional service and support. I treat the home as if it were my own, showing respect and care in every detail. I bring the same level of attention and compassion to the client’s pet, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I am deeply caring, compassionate, tidy, and regimented in all that I do.
“Sheridan took care of all three pups exceptionally well. Her communication is appreciated and she clarifies any questions or concerns readily giving me a great peace of mind.”

“Emma watched Sadie while we were away for a day. She was communicative when needed, did everything we asked of her, and even stayed a little while extra to comfort Sadie when Sadie was afraid of fireworks going off outside. Sadie was cared for and in good spirits when we returned. We would happily book Emma again!”

“Mia was great! She stayed at our house and took care of our two dogs for a week while we were on vacation. One of our dogs is older and requires extra attention and Mia provided the extra care she needed. Our dogs were happy and healthy when we got back, and our house was clean. We could tell she took good care while we were away and would definitely recommend her.”

“Kylie was great with Scout and provided updates to ease my mind (as this was our first time leaving her at home with a sitter). We will be rebooking Kylie in the future.”

“Grace is absolutely wonderful! She did a fantastic job with our dogs and keeping our house managed. I highly recommend using her and we would definitely use her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Riverlea
Eleanor was a great pet sitter and house sitter. She was very attentive with Penny and spent LOTS of time with her while we were away on vacation. It was great to know that my fur baby was in good hands with Eleanor. I really appreciate everything she did with Penny and the love and care she provided.

TLDR: Amber took great care of our dog Ginger for one week while we were out of town for vacation, and I would 1000% recommend her! I reached out to Amber with a last-minute request to dog-sit in our home for one week while we were out of town. She responded quickly and set up a meet-and-greet to make sure that it would be a good fit. She asked many insightful questions that reflected her experience with animal training and care, as well as her desire to be the best dog sitter possible. Our dog instantly took to her during the meet-and-greet, which isn't always a given. Ginger is an anxious, stubborn terrier who takes daily medication. Amber administered daily medication with no issue and sent very thorough and heartwarming daily updates on Ginger's walks, potty habits, food intake, and medication. Amber was a great house guest and left our place very tidy after her one-week stay. She is a fantastic sitter, and I would recommend her to anyone, and we will definitely be booking with her again!

Kelsey is SO kind. Her love and care for my cats was apparent from the first video update she sent. She was patient when the cats were being quirky and she went above and beyond to ensure their routines were followed and they were as happy as possible. I will absolutely be booking with her again. Thank you for everything, Kelsey!!

I had a great experience with Quinn! She took excellent care of my dog and cats while I was away, giving me complete peace of mind. Communication was fantastic, with regular updates and photos that showed how happy and comfortable my pets were. It was clear that she genuinely cared for each animal and treated them like her own. I came home to well-cared-for, relaxed pets and a tidy home. I highly recommend Quinn to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate pet sitter.

Hallie was the perfect fit for our pets and home. The meet and greet allowed Vanna and Scout to be comfortable with a new person to care for them and we came home to relaxed and happy fur babies! Hallie was a perfect communicator- photos, questions, updates were all very comforting as we were away. She has a relaxed demeanor that I know Vanna and Scout appreciated!

Kaylee was awesome! Really came through for us and our pets. It was a last minute request but Kaylee accepted without hesitation and took great care of our home as well as our pets! We really appreciate it. We will definitely use services again in the future and I highly recommend.

Taylor was great! This was our first time using rover and we we’re going to be out of the country for over 2 weeks. She came over and met our cat Panther before we left gave us confidence she was good either way cats. During the trip she gave us regular updates and the most important thing was Panther looked happy. Our only regret with Taylor is that she’s moving out of state. We cannot recommend her more highly!

Loren took care of my two dogs while I was gone for 7 days. She sent updates twice a day (even when I was unable to access the internet) which I appreciated. I have a very reactive dog and she was very patient with him, even came to meet him twice before the trip. Would be happy to use her services again in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Riverlea on Rover is $42.8 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 1,513 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Riverlea. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Riverlea walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Riverlea maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Riverlea choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
