Flexible and Reliable!

Hello! I am a Biological Engineering Researcher at The Ohio State. I have been with Rover for 3 years and have loved meeting all the different pets! Each one I meet has their own unique personality and communication. I am available to do walks, drop-ins, and housesitting! I grew up with dogs and small pets (hamsters, parakeets, guinea pigs, fish). While growing up I got to care for a beagle, cocker spaniel mix, lab mix, husky, and a husky/lab mix. I have owned, walked, and cared for dogs of a range of sizes and personalities. The dogs I grew up with have not always been the best walkers. I have walked with strong pullers, barkers, countless complex harnesses, and reactive dogs. Regardless of a dog's disposition, they need to be walked and played with. I love going on walks and hikes and find them much more enjoyable with a furry companion. I would love to walk yours! I am used to feeding and caring for a variety of pets at a time. I have cared for 3 senior dogs at the same time with various feeding needs. I have prepared wet food, dry food, and a variety of medications to administer to pets. I have experience administering pills, eye drops, and liquid supplements to pets that are not always willing to accept their medication. I have also learned how to handle dogs who are food aggressive. Gideon, my family’s 102-pound husky, was food aggressive, so my family adjusted our feeding routine and found ways to safely separate the husky from the other two. I am detail oriented and will follow instructions to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet. My mom has started fostering puppies (shown in my profile pictures!) And they have been so much fun to take care of when I am at my parent’s house. Most of them have been pit bull mixes, with the recent litter being 6 weeks old and on liquid medication. I have also adopted a kitten who needed liquid medication twice a day, so I am more comfortable administering medication to puppies and cats as well as full grown dogs! The transition to owning my own pet has been super fun. With Rover and my previous owned pets, it was easy to take care of a cat of my own. I hope to have the opportunity to care for your furry friend(s)!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I am detail oriented and flexible. At home, I have tailored my actions to the pets needs, whether that is sitting with them until they settle down, or playing until they get too tired. I have also raised my dogs to sit before receiving their meals. My dogs are allowed to roam the house, but I can crate dogs if that is consistent with their lifestyle.

Lindsey always does a great job watching my dog who has a lot of special needs. She takes cares to learn all of routines and quirks and my dog feels really comfortable with her. I appreciate the pictures and updates she sends each day!

Lindsey took care of Gracie and Kobie in the most amazing ways—she made them comfortable and snuggled with them and we couldn’t have been more confident leaving our fur babies with her for a few days

Let me know any bad behaviors I should watch out for. I have experience walking dogs that are not great at walking on a leash, and it would be helpful for me to know what actions to look out for to ensure the safety of myself and your pet.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
