“Sarah was very easy to work with. She took great care of our golden doodle and chickens and was flexible when we were running late, she even left us flowers. Will definitely be using her again.”

“This was our second time having Bena care for our two elder cats. They require topical medication two times daily. Bena has taken on this responsibility with kindness and care. I would highly recommend Bena as your pet caregiver.”

About: I have been the proud dog dad of Franklin, a rescue 14 year old terrier mix, for over 9 years, who suffers from separation anxiety. More recently, I have cared for him through eye removal surgery as well as terminal joint and heart issues. As a result, I have experience giving oral, ocular and topical medications. I have this experience with other dogs as well, as I am always quick to volunteer for any opportunity to walk or babysit a friend or families dog - even going so far as to visit dogs rather than people at family weddings. I'm currently unemployed, so 100% of the time I'm not with my dog I can and want to spend taking care of your dog! Please check my schedule or reach out. First and foremost, I care for animals by showing them love and respect. When it comes to caring for your pet, I will conscientiously follow all instructions you provide and never put your pet in any danger.
“Great experience with Emily. She's conscientious, reliable, sends terrific and fun updates on each visit, and is willing to take on extra tasks like taking our cat to the vet when we discovered he had worms right before leaving town. She and our cat Zeke really hit it off, as I'm sure she would with any animal. Would definitely book her again.”

“Carrie was a great sitter for my two cats! She was able to help me out last minute, and she was very responsive and very understanding of the last minute tweaks I made to their care. I would recommend her to any other pet owners in the area!”

“Janet was very communicative & understanding of my shy girl. You can tell right from the meet & greet she is very sweet and caring with animals. She was available at a last minutes notice and followed detailed instructions. Will definitely have her back! Thanks Janet!”

About: I have been the go to dog sitter for family, friends and coworkers for the last 15 years. I was finally able to adopt my very own pup a little over a year ago and have been obsessed with him ever since. We have a small fenced in backyard and live extremely close to the bike path and park! Lots of walks and exploring. I am looking to make pet care my full time career. I am aiming to be available daily for all types of care. Walking, daycare as well as overnight sleepovers! I have a small fenced in back yard and a cozy ranch style home. No stairs, for those pups who have a hard time getting around. I take daily morning walks with my guy around the park and have many other spots we visit on the weekends. Couches, beds, chairs, none of those are off limits. Your pet can be comfortable! If you want your pup to be spoiled, loved, and entertained while you are busy, look no further!

“Alexio stopped by for a meet and greet with our Dewey before potentially spending a weekend together. I was very happy with Alexio’s attention on the important details that will ensure that Dewey and Alexio will both be comfortable for a visit. Thanks Alex!”

“Annika did an amazing job taking care of my senior cat. She attended to all of her special needs, including insulin injections, with great skill. She kept me informed and sent good pictures, which gave me comfort while traveling. I will absolutely ask Annika to sit again!!”

About: I am an animal science student at UConn and currently ride on their equestrian team. I have trained my own two dogs while learning from a professional trainer and now I train and sell horses along with house sitting dogs and cats here and there. I am available most days to walk, run, or visit your cat or pup until I go back to college. I am currently not working another job so my schedule is open. I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting before I came to college and during the summer. I have my own two dogs back home that are part of our family and a cat! I love spending time just chilling or playing with my dogs but we also go for runs, walks, and mountain biking together so I can fit into whatever your dog needs!
“Shawna did a wonderful job caring for our 17 year old, blind and ailing old cat as well as caring for our farm. We were able to relax and not worry. We received pictures and updates from each visit, which was a huge comfort. We recommend highly and without reservation!”

“Ace was super gentle and patient with my anxious shy guy! He took a liking to Ace quickly— not the norm for my dog. Ace was communicative and took great pics of my boy. Thank you Ace!! Will 100% book again soon ☺️”

About: I’ve grown up in a household where we always had more than one dog. Love going to the local dog park to let out some high energy or just on scenic rural walks for the pups to be able to relax. I groom my own dogs and have dog/house sat for several people over the years all having different breeds of dogs. I work a local 9-5 but so am all for morning care, stopping in on lunch break, and the after work walk/exercise and dinner routine. Way more availability on the weekends! I would follow whatever routine you have for your dog(s), whether you crate them, they have free domain over the house, they are regulars at the dog park, or they like or need to be taken on solo walks I would follow whatever instructions you have in place :)
“Dorjee was everything we could ask for in a sitter. She was reliable, smart, conscientious, and Olive adored her. We would most definitely hire her again. Thanks Dorjee!”

About: I have had various dog sitting & walking experiences since I was in high school for friends, their family members, and other people in the community. I love nature & getting outside; getting to share that with your pets would be wonderful. I currently make my own schedule for the week so I have flexibility & time to spend with your animals. On the weekends I work 8-2 but I still have afternoons completely open! I treat your pets with as much love and respect as I would my own. I would love to meet your furry friend & establish a trusting relationship with them before watching them. I have cared for dogs before that have needed medication and as long as it is outlined with directions that is something I am comfortable with.

“Emilie was great with my cat. She was punctual, responsible, and communicative with me. My cat doesn’t like a lot of people, but she loved Emilie from first meeting! I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

About: Hi - I'm Andy and during the summer, I grow organic veggies on a farm and in the winter I am a full-time pet caretaker :) I am currently farming part time 8-4 Tues-Thurs and part time baking Friday/Sunday 8-3. I am usually an early riser but can also wake up earlier or stay out later depending on your pet's needs. I've grown up taking care of my own dog, Maddie, a small cockapoo, and also taking care of friends' cats, puppies, dogs, birds, and rodents. My housemate had a cat, MooMoo, when I lived with her in college and it was very fun taking care of her and snuggling. I also have my own baby, Triple, a tabby cat who I love dearly who stays at my place.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Leeds
Another great experience with Sharene! We had scheduled a drop-in for a day when we'd be gone for a long time and then on the day of, we'd already left home when we realized we'd made a mistake and our pup could really use an extra drop-in sooner. We didn't expect it at all on such short notice, but Sharene was responsive and flexible and popped right over to be with our pup. Sharene saved the day and helped make a stressful moment become no big deal. Thank you again!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Leeds stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Leeds choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Leeds with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
