About: I am a certified vet tech with about 15 years experience. Additional years for pet ownership. I have been with animals my whole life and have dedicated the rest of my life to help to take care of them and make them happy. I can administer any type of medication, give subcutaneous fluids, or snuggle. Monday through Thursday I work from 7-5. I can do home visits three times daily on those days. Fridays and weekends are more flexible. My children are active participants in taking care of animals as they have been exposed to different types of pets with different demeaners. They understand to give pets their boundaries when they need their space. I have a fenced in yard for my active greyhound. I also have two cats who have automatic feeders and water fountains. My cats are older ladies so they don’t want to play but they are wonderful snugglers. My greyhound loves attention and his favorite is butt scratches. The foster pets that I would take care of would have their own safe space to be comfortable in my home.
“Mickala is terrific!. Freya was well cared for with timely check-ins and excellent communication from Mickala every visit. Our trip was stress free and we came home to a happy cat.”

“This is the second time that I used Amad to care for my cats, he has been great, will stay and play with them, easy to reach and will quickly respond . Overall we highly recommended .”

About: I am an animal science student at UConn and currently ride on their equestrian team. I have trained my own two dogs while learning from a professional trainer and now I train and sell horses along with house sitting dogs and cats here and there. I am available most days to walk, run, or visit your cat or pup until I go back to college. I am currently not working another job so my schedule is open. I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting before I came to college and during the summer. I have my own two dogs back home that are part of our family and a cat! I love spending time just chilling or playing with my dogs but we also go for runs, walks, and mountain biking together so I can fit into whatever your dog needs!

“Aemelia was great. We and our puppies really enjoyed interacting with her. She was able to accommodate our last minute needs and was very cool about it. We will for sure be contacting her again and again.”

“Natalie was great! Communicated with us throughout, sent lots of pictures, and wrote thoughtful, entertaining updates for each visit. We hope Natalie will be available next time our cats need a sitter!”

About: I've worked in multiple areas of animal care including breeding and puppy development, dog daycare, and veterinary care. I have experience caring for all different breeds and ages of dogs! I don't have much professional experience with cats, but I have lived with many cats throughout my life and am a huge cat lover! I do not have any pets myself as I recently lost my dog. So i am in serious need of some dog time! I am available any time after 2:00pm sunday-thursday and all day friday and saturday(: some days i am available earlier than that, typically sundays and mondays im available around 12:30-1:00pm. I am happy to accommodate any of your pet's needs! I can walk, play, just give love, whatever makes your baby feel the most enriched and happy. I know every dog and cat has their own specific needs and I'm very dedicated to that! I live in a small studio apartment. There is plenty of great space to take walks near my house (i live right on the bike trail) but i do not have a fenced in yard. If this sounds like it could be suitable for your pet, i'm more than happy to board them(:
“Ace is an incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and caring sitter. We booked her to care for our two older cats and she was so communicative and kind to the little guys. One of our cats needs a subcutaneous injection daily, and she did a wonderful job delivering it - even when he was being difficult. I couldn’t recommend Ace enough, and am definitely going to book her again in the future.”

“Astrid did an amazing job taking care of my cats, Button and Dice, while I was away for 8 days. She checked in on them consistently, kept me updated every day, and made sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. I could tell from her messages and videos that they were happy and at ease with her. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I highly recommend Astrid to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Astrid, for taking such great care of Button and Dice!”

About: I've been caring for a variety of animals(including dogs, cats, invertebrates, and livestock) for over a decade, since I was about 10 years old. I have experience with animal handling, animal care, dog walking, pet sitting, and animal training. I am a dog trainer, working on getting my CPDT certification and specializing in obedience and reactive dogs. But, I have also trained cats and pigs! I have worked with all breeds, sizes, and ages of dogs, and understand dog body language like it's English. This is currently my main source of income, so I have open availability to take care of your furry(or not furry) friends! I also have a car with plenty of space for animals so I can easily commute and transport pets. I don't live somewhere with an easily accessible space for exercising pets, but I can easily exercise, enrich and keep your dog safe and happy in and outside of your home!
About: I have been the proud dog dad of Franklin, a rescue 14 year old terrier mix, for over 9 years, who suffers from separation anxiety. More recently, I have cared for him through eye removal surgery as well as terminal joint and heart issues. As a result, I have experience giving oral, ocular and topical medications. I have this experience with other dogs as well, as I am always quick to volunteer for any opportunity to walk or babysit a friend or families dog - even going so far as to visit dogs rather than people at family weddings. I'm currently unemployed, so 100% of the time I'm not with my dog I can and want to spend taking care of your dog! Please check my schedule or reach out. First and foremost, I care for animals by showing them love and respect. When it comes to caring for your pet, I will conscientiously follow all instructions you provide and never put your pet in any danger.
About: I have been a pet owner since I was in my 20s. Over the years I have rescued a number of animals in need, both dogs and cats. I have also helped friends with their animals, including taking them to the vet and watching them when their owners were out of town. With my own dog, we have a routine that includes multiple walks per day, as well as at least one car ride. I believe in following a pet's routine. I am free in the summer and on the weekends and in the evenings. It all depends on what someone needs in a person caring for their pet. I believe in following what a pet owner needs for the comfort of their animal. Depending on the need of your animal, I can take care of walks, bringing them to the park, feeding them, and whatever else they need.
About: We’re excited to welcome your furry friend into our home! It’s important that your pet gets along with children and other animals, as I have a 2-year-old son with autism, along with two dogs and a cat, two ferrets. If your pet can fit in with our family, then we can’t wait to meet them! Your pet will feel right at home here. My son and I love going for walks and playing with the dogs, and we also enjoy fun trips to the park and the dog park. By the end of the day or week, your pet will definitely be worn out from all the fun activities! I’d be happy to share pictures of your pet throughout the day, so you can see how much they’re enjoying their time with us. They will be safe and well-cared for while they’re in my hands. If you could bring along their favorite toys, food, and bedding, that would help them feel more comfortable in a new environment. And rest assured, if there's any emergency, I will contact you right away. I’m looking forward to providing a wonderful stay for your pet! I’m stay home mom of one child your Pets will be able to go outside for walks and to the park nd play with my son nd me I have puppy pads just in case nd gate up on the stairs. I had a great experience with my Zoe and would absolutely book with them again. It was clear that they genuinely cared about my pet’s comfort and well-being. My pet was happy, well cared for, and relaxed when I returned home. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
