“Rachel has been such an amazing help with our two cats, especially now that our senior cats requires daily pills. It’s such relief to know that when we go away we know for sure he will get his medications with Rachel. I’d highly recommend her, and will definitely be booking with her again as needed!”

“Robin is so excellent with our fur babies. We really have lucked out and found an amazing pet sitter in Robin. She is organized and communicative, letting us know if any changes need to be made to the scheduling and reaching out in advance to confirm the details. The report cards she generates are thoughtful and help me to know what is going on. I never feel worried when I go out of town knowing Robin will be there for my three cats! Above and beyond, would absolutely recommend.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life! From being raised with dogs and parakeets, to later expanding my personal knowledge to cats, rabbits, rats, and more, I understand that each pet is as unique as their owner and deserves to have their needs met. Patience and compassion are my keystones to pet care. My experience includes basic grooming, teeth brushing, utilizing a pill-popper tool/giving oral medication, spicy cat maintenance (trust me, I have my own), grumpy dogs, walking, play motivation, anxious pets, and verbal affirmations. Growing up, I trained two of my dogs from puppyhood, as well as converting a feral adult cat to basic training behaviors such as "stay” and even “paw!” I am an extremely quick study and am happy to cater to your pets' specific needs! I currently work 40 hours a week from about 8am-4:30pm, but have plenty of afternoon flexibility and full weekend availability! I am available on Saturdays and Sundays during the day for house/pet sitting, as well as Fridays after 5pm. This care is as tailored as you would like it to be! Based on your preferences and your animal's personality, I am happy to adapt to your family's needs. I can crate your dog, groom your cat, spend time with them in close or far proximity, add meal toppers to their dinners, you name it! Each pet is unique and I want you to feel as comfortable as possible while entrusting them with me.
“Our two cats really liked Mickala. She went above and beyond helping us with several situations such as trimming a cat's nails and cleaning up some ants which got into the auto-feeders.”

“Noah was very pleasant, responsive, and great with the puppies. He is a great communicator and a very nice person. I’d recommend him very highly to look after anybody’s loved pets.”

“She took great care of my cat over the holidays and i returned to him very happy!! I was very stressed about leaving him but was very relieved he was in such good hands. Very communicative and my shy cat loves her!!”

“Brianna was great with our two energetic huskies, walking them every day for almost two weeks. She was conscientious, responsible, and finally we have someone we can trust our dogs with. Great job.”

“Alex did a great job with our high energy dogs and shy kitties. It's unusual for some of our cats to meet pet sitters at all, but they warmed up to her right away. She was very flexible about coming over to meet the animals and was able to fit us in at the last minute for two drop in visits. Will absolutely book her again and highly recommend!”

“Went away for a few days to spend time with family for the holidays. Eryn stop In and checked up on my two dogs (feeding, watering, playing, letting outside and cleaning up after them.. Eryn did an excellent job and would use again and highly recommend!”

“Jessica has taken care of our cat on two separate occasions now. She always sends a thorough update with pictures each time she drops in. Jessica gives us great peace of mind while we are away that our cat will be well cared for!”

“Kayla was so good with my cats! I could tell they really liked her... She had to feed them 3 times a day and there is a little more to it than just putting down 2 plates of food. Kayla sent me pictures of them at every feeding...this made me feel so good! I will definitely use Kayla again!”

“Grace was so good with our cat, Guppy. She was always on time and followed the instructions we gave her perfectly. Guppy loves to play until he's out of breath, and Grace sent us pictures showing with him panting from the fun time he had. We'd definitely recommend booking with Grace, and we plan to again next time we have to leave town.”

About: Hi! My name is Kayla, and I’m an Animal Science student with professional experience caring for dogs and a lifetime of experience caring for cats. I offer care in client’s homes through drop-in visits, walks and extended drop-ins. I spent 2 years working at a dog rescue, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. My responsibilities included feeding, cleaning kennels, exercising dogs, monitoring their health and behavior, and helping nervous or shy dogs feel comfortable. Working with rescue dogs taught me how to read body language, stay calm in new situations, and provide patient, compassionate care. I’ve also been a cat owner since I was eight years old and have had four cats throughout my life. My senior cat became disabled later in life, so I have experience with medication, grooming, litter box care, and adapting routines for pets with special needs. That experience gave me a special place in my heart for senior animals and pets who need a little extra patience. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply quiet companionship, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I also love keeping owners updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away! As a full-time Animal Science student, I schedule pet care around my classes and keep my availability updated on Rover. I only accept bookings I can fully commit to, and once I accept a booking your pet becomes a priority. I offer reliable drop-in visits and dog walking, and I’m happy to spend extra time with your pets when needed to make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I provide care in my clients’ homes through drop-in visits, walks, and extended drop-ins so pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medications, exercise needs, and any special instructions. I always treat my clients’ homes with respect, make safety my top priority, and provide regular photo and message updates so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.
“Kaylee has just finished a week of visits to take care of my two cats. This is her second stint for me. Very happy at the attention to detail. She even left food for the squirrels! (if I forget they find the bag themselves!) Thank you Kaylee above and beyond.”

“Ace was super gentle and patient with my anxious shy guy! He took a liking to Ace quickly— not the norm for my dog. Ace was communicative and took great pics of my boy. Thank you Ace!! Will 100% book again soon ☺️”

“We asked Natalie to drop in on our two cats while away for a couple of weeks. Natalie quickly assessed and understood the differing needs and habits of our two indoor/outdoor cats. From her photo updates, they clearly felt comfortable and happy with her. Upon our return after two weeks, both boys were in good health and in good spirits! Thanks!”

About: I've loved and cared for dogs for most of my life, and currently have a Chihuahua mix named Chico and a cat named Frankie. I'm a good-hearted and easygoing person excited to spend my free time with some lovable pooches! Chico is an 11-year-old rescue, who loves ice cream and burying himself in blankets. Frankie is a snoozy indoor cat, but loves playing with Chico occasionally. For all of my bookings, I like to provide lots of attention to each pet, and create a comfortable environment for them. I’ve had a ton of fun with the pets I've met so far, and I would love to meet some more furry friends and owners soon! I currently work from home full time in the healthcare industry. I am looking to offer sitting services in my free time, but can likely be flexible with my schedule. Safety for all pets is my biggest priority, whether they are my own or yours. I’m open to any information that would make your pets feel more comfortable, and would love to answer any questions during a meet and greet before a service.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Hadley. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
