I train service dogs, teach and coach dog agility, and help families train their pets with basic obedience skills. I used to keep up my certifications with APDT & IAABC, but no longer due as I don't accept basic obedience training clients. I also had a brief stint as a vet tech. I grew up in an active, five dog home with additional daycare and boarding dogs in our home regularly. I have spent my entire life walking, boarding/sitting, training and caring for dogs. I go on frequent walks and hikes and do short, fun training sessions daily. I can provide you and your dog with the comfort of a lifetime of experience in dog care and over a decade of professional training knowledge. I love spending time with dogs and helping people out with their pets' needs. I work from home for a healthcare tech company so I will be with your dog all day (boarding/daycare) and have flexibility within timing (dropins/walks) I have a fenced yard and will always supervise your dog when they are outside. I can easily crate/gate your dog when I leave the house or overnight if requested. I usually provide multiple, shorter on leash walks daily and hike with my client's dogs to as that I know a bit better. If I'm in your home I'll do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. Always with lots of treats and praise. I work from home full time, so as long as you have strong wifi I can be with your pets all day. ***Due to my schedule I am only booking a month in advance. Please reach out a month before your trip for availability. Priority will go to existing clients (dogs I've cared for in the past 3 years) then to new clients as dates become available. I understand that a month is not a lot of lead time, especially for those of you with multiple dogs with a variety of needs. About: I’m currently a Smith master’s of clinical social work student working an unpaid internship in order to graduate this August. I’m in the need of funds to support myself and I’d love to take care of some lovely creatures to do so. I’ve grown up with numerous pets. Bunnies, cats, tons of dogs, and even a hedgehog. I have experience walking small dogs and big dogs. My dog back at my mom’s house is a 200 pound St. Bernard so he gave me all the experience I need. Living by myself in Northampton I have 3 cats that I love more than anything, but I have always loved all animals and want to help others take care of theirs. I currently work in Northampton 9-5 Mon-Weds but get off early on Thursdays. I have potential time Monday-Weds nights to stop by, but most of my services are available more so on Thursdays-Sundays.
