About: I’ve had cats my entire life and they’ve always been my favorite animal. I have hands-on experience through cat rescue, where I helped socialize entire families of feral cats and prepare them for adoption, as well as experience in a cat hospice caring for senior and medically fragile cats. I’ve also worked in an emergency veterinary clinic, which gave me experience observing feline health, administering medications, and recognizing when something may be wrong. I have many years of experience: walking dogs in NYC & in Western Mass; pet-sitting for my friends', neighbors' and partner's dogs (as well as for other types of pets). About: I've loved and cared for dogs for most of my life, and currently have a Chihuahua mix named Chico and a cat named Frankie. I'm a good-hearted and easygoing person excited to spend my free time with some lovable pooches! Chico is an 11-year-old rescue, who loves ice cream and burying himself in blankets. Frankie is a snoozy indoor cat, but loves playing with Chico occasionally. For all of my bookings, I like to provide lots of attention to each pet, and create a comfortable environment for them. About: I’ve spent over a decade working with animals, starting in Birmingham, Alabama, where I rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed dogs through a bully breed rescue. After moving to New England, I worked at a cat hospice and later as a veterinary assistant at an emergency hospital. About: My passion for caring started with dolls and stuffed animals, but has grown from that to animals and children. I've had experience taking care of many animals in the past (turtles, bunnies, cats, and dogs) and have extended my experience with animals to outside the home doing volunteer work. About: I have done both walking and house sitting for five years, and have worked with and am comfortable handling both large and small dogs. I grew up owning dogs, including a shitzu mix, a poodle mix, and a shelter girl of unknown exact breed but some sort of terrier mix (mom was a JRT). While all but one of the dogs I have owned were under 20 pounds, most of my history in pet sitting has been with has been with dogs in the 30-70 pound range, including labs, huskies, and a pit bull mix as my most frequent clients. I have experience with owning a fear reactive dog, but my comfort with taking care of them will be on a case by case basis. I also have experience with training young dogs for crating, potty training, and leash training I am currently exclusively self employed and have a flexible schedule with my income sources, so I am available most days and times of the week At this time I am only able to provide care in my clients home, I am unable to provide boarding due to limited space in my house I will work with owners to maintain your pets normal schedule, including feeding and walks. I am comfortable crating and using alternate feeders or feeding styles as needed Dogs will never be outside unattended, and will be kept on leash or in fenced in yards unless the owner specifically requests that I do otherwise. Cats will not be taken outside for any reason unless requested by owners. All animals will receive a significant amount of play and/or pet time during each visit, assuming the animal is comfortable with and enjoying it For drop ins, I will provide at least one update per visit including pictures. For continuous house sitting, as my standard I will provide at least three updates per day (morning, mid day, and afternoon/evening) with at least one photo per update. About: I have been working with animals my whole life. My most recent experience includes pet sitting for Life of Riley pet care, working as a vet tech at Randolph Animal Hospital and working as a vet assistant at Northampton Vet Clinic. I am able to medicate transdermally, orally and through sq injections. I am a fellow golden retriever mom and am also familiar with the puppy stages! If you book at least 1 week in advance my schedule is flexible. I am willing to work with you to make a schedule that works for you. I am currently in school for dental assisting however I will not need to be away for more than 4 hours at a time. I offer pet sitting in your homes with overnight care, walks and drop-in visits. My drop-in visits and walks are 30 minute visits, however if you need a different time frame I am willing to work it out. For overnight care I am willing to make a plan that suits your pups or kitties the best.

I work with energy and empathy in my other jobs, so I am able to bring a calm presence for animals and pay attention to their energy when caring for them. I value consent-based interaction, so I allow animals to warm up to me before petting them. I have flexible work, so I can arrange to stay with your pets or drop in at your convenience. One of my jobs works well with being at home, so I can stay put. I tend to lock doors, being familiar with city living. Integrity and trust are paramount to me, so you can trust that I will treat your home well and honor any areas you don't want me to be in. I know it's a lot to trust a stranger in your home while you are away -- I am happy to provide references and other information to make you feel safe. “I needed a last minute boarding for my dog Enzo, as my family and I were going out of town. I found sandra on rover and she was available. We met the morning we drop of our dog Enzo. “We boarded our dog, Guinness, with Heather and Norman for two days, and they were absolutely wonderful! Heather and Norman were sweet and took excellent care of Guinness. They took him for walks and even sent us photos. It was clear that Guinness and their dog, Zeus, got along so well and had a great time playing together.
