About: I’ve spent over a decade working with animals, starting in Birmingham, Alabama, where I rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed dogs through a bully breed rescue. About: I’ve taken care of my family and friends dogs and cats. They have relied on me to feed, water, walk and occasionally give oral medication. I’m currently working up to 30 hours (4 days a week) over the summer while getting my masters at Smith College. I cannot afford to have a dog or cat of my own. About: I have always loved and lived with pets. Growing up we had multiple cats and a dog or two at any given time. In high school, I convinced my mom to foster a litter of kittens for our local humane society and we ended up caring for litters and kittens and puppies as well as seniors and sickly dogs for years to come. Right out of college I adopted my cat, and she has been my constant companion ever since. A decade later I rescued a very reactive dog and worked for 5 years on his reactivity. We made great improvements together! If you need someone to walk your reactive dog during the day, I’m your gal! I’d also love to care for your chill, non-reactive dog when you go out of town. I have a very active toddler, so I can only board dogs who are reliably safe around small children. I am available Monday-Thursday from 9-3 for drop ins and dog walks, with some flexible availability on the weekends too. Available for boarding as well this winter I have a large fenced portion of my back yard, as well as easy access to the bike path. We have some baby gates in our house, and more in storage, if that makes sense to make your pets comfortable.

Preston just took care of my two elderly cats for the first time this past weekend, and he was wonderful all around. I am always a bit nervous about leaving them because of their ages, but I honestly worried less because I knew he would take good care of them. At the meet and greet, he asked good questions, took notes and photos, and clearly showed that he loved cats.
