“Annika did an amazing job taking care of my senior cat. She attended to all of her special needs, including insulin injections, with great skill. She kept me informed and sent good pictures, which gave me comfort while traveling. I will absolutely ask Annika to sit again!!”

“Janet was very communicative & understanding of my shy girl. You can tell right from the meet & greet she is very sweet and caring with animals. She was available at a last minutes notice and followed detailed instructions. Will definitely have her back! Thanks Janet!”

About: I grew up with a dog in my home and as I assisted my parents in taking care of her through the different stages of life, I've gained experience in puppy, middle-aged, and senior dog care. I also have experience in walking multiple (two maximum) dogs at once of different temperaments and ages! Currently, I am a small pet owner (2 guinea pigs!), so I do have an understanding of routine, food portioning, enrichment for pets, etc. For drop-in visits: I can come up to two times a day on Mon/Weds/Fri, and only once on Tues/Thurs. I can do early mornings (between 7-8:30 AM) on Mon/Weds/Fri or anytime after 6:00 PM on most weekdays. For Saturdays and Sundays, I'm available for most of the day! For walks: Walks will be 30 minutes in length. I can only fit in one walk per day, but can do it several times a week. Walks can be in the afternoon, most days after 6 PM Mon-Fri, or in the mornings on Mo/Weds/Fri between 7-8 AM For home visits, I'm happy to provide your pet with whatever they need (food, water, play time, etc.). For walks, I can walk up to two dogs at once. Please let me know if you have any normal routes you take, parks nearby, etc. I will also need to know how they interact with other dogs and people to make it the safest experience for your pets!
About: I serve as a small business owner in the animation industry, having been a character animator in video games for over a decade. I always embrace new opportunities through a lens of creative play, which I know pets are the absolute best at! My goal is to make sure your little one has all the fun and zoomies they need for the day, or meet them where they are at if they are having a relaxing day. I have watched pets most recently through Trusted Housesitters as I traveled for a few years. After meeting so many wonderful fur babies, I'm feeling ready to help out at home and provide whatever care you're looking for. I have more experience with mid-late aged dogs, and have administered medication to senior dogs. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, and look forward to meeting your pal! I work remotely, which means I would love to get out of the house and off my computer! :) It also means that I can be flexible to the amount of relaxation or exercise your pet needs. If boarding, I live close to a bike path, so there would be lots of walking opportunities throughout the day. My schedule is pretty flexible since I own my small business, so I am happy to discuss times that work best for everyone. I'm happy to be as transparent as I can throughout a stay! Whether sending pictures and videos or keeping you up to date however long you need. If staying in your home, I'm very mindful about keeping things tidy. I traveled and stayed in many different types of spaces as a digital nomad for two years, so I'm used to respecting the rules of each space while asking questions if needed.
“Alexis is amazing! She took wonderful care of my aging cat, including insulin shots. I was so at ease on my trip because of Alexis’ amazing communication and skill. My cat and I will call on her again and again!!”

“Sierra went above and beyond to come do a meet and greet before taking care of Ripp and then did a great job taking care of him. We loved the pictures she shared afterwards!”

About: I have managed the kennel of a local boarding/daycare/grooming facility and have worked for a local training and behavior consulting facility. I have been in the pet care industry for over six years. I am also trained as a groomer and have extensive knowledge and experience in relationship-based training. I am also first aid and CPR certified for dogs and cats. I am more than happy to provide references upon request. I know how important it is to trust your pet care professionals to learn your pup’s personality, respect their boundaries, and fulfill your wishes so that they get the same quality of care you would give them yourself. I am committed to your pet's safety, health, and enjoyment. I’m currently working part-time as a preschool teacher and also run my own Etsy shop, where I sell handmade dog gear. As such, I currently have plenty of availability for dog care. Your dog’s physical and emotional safety is my priority. I am a believer that there is no such thing as over-communication and am very attentive to detail. I also firmly believe in respecting boundaries and recognize the importance of following clients’ directions to a T.
“Lizzy warmed up to Hannah right away, which was unusual but so so welcoming. Hannah definitely seems to very well-versed in making animals feel comfortable, and communicating with her was easy, kind, and hassle free, especially for someone like me, who struggles from social anxiety. Thank you Hannah! I will definitely be seeing if she is free in the future when I need a sitter.”
“Jacklyn is absolutely amazing. She took care of our two cats for a week. Gave updates pictures we were not worried at all .We would definitely want her to take care of our cats again.”

“Astrid did an amazing job taking care of my cats, Button and Dice, while I was away for 8 days. She checked in on them consistently, kept me updated every day, and made sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. I could tell from her messages and videos that they were happy and at ease with her. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I highly recommend Astrid to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Astrid, for taking such great care of Button and Dice!”

About: Hi, I'm Caroline! I'm the youngest of a big family, and we've had many pets (mostly dogs and cats) growing up. I'm very active and love going on long walks with dogs. Throughout my adult life, my friends with pets have relied on me to take care of them while they’re away. I’m also always attentive to pets who have anxiety and make sure to give them the extra love and cuddles they deserve. Most of my availability falls on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. I'm open to dog walking, dog sitting (drop-ins and overnights if need be) at the client’s house. There are currently no pets living in my house, but when my friends leave me with their pets, they are guaranteed to get all of the positive attention and love they need to be happy. At a client’s house, I would make sure their pets receive this kind of attention, while also allowing them to be comfortable in their own homes; I would pay close attention to the pets’ moods and energy levels, playing with them when energy levels are high and also giving them time to relax and be calm when need be too. Above all, safety would be my top priority.
About: I’ve grown up in a household where we always had more than one dog. Love going to the local dog park to let out some high energy or just on scenic rural walks for the pups to be able to relax. I groom my own dogs and have dog/house sat for several people over the years all having different breeds of dogs. I work a local 9-5 but so am all for morning care, stopping in on lunch break, and the after work walk/exercise and dinner routine. Way more availability on the weekends! I would follow whatever routine you have for your dog(s), whether you crate them, they have free domain over the house, they are regulars at the dog park, or they like or need to be taken on solo walks I would follow whatever instructions you have in place :)
About: I have cared and worked with cats and dogs since a young age. I will take my time to get to know your animals and they will trust and look forward to seeing me! I work as an educator, so my summer is open and super flexible. In July, I will be working from 8:30am - 12pm Monday through Thursday. Either way, I am a morning person. I love waking up and relaxing on the couch with the animals drinking some coffee or tea, and then spending the day on the couch or outside running around depending on their mood. I fully communicate with clients to ensure set boundaries and specific pet care needs. I can be hands on and active, or simply a presence in the room to ease anxiety.
“Ace was super gentle and patient with my anxious shy guy! He took a liking to Ace quickly— not the norm for my dog. Ace was communicative and took great pics of my boy. Thank you Ace!! Will 100% book again soon ☺️”

“This is the second time that I used Amad to care for my cats, he has been great, will stay and play with them, easy to reach and will quickly respond . Overall we highly recommended .”
About: Hi - I'm Andy and during the summer, I grow organic veggies on a farm and in the winter I am a full-time pet caretaker :) I am currently farming part time 8-4 Tues-Thurs and part time baking Friday/Sunday 8-3. I am usually an early riser but can also wake up earlier or stay out later depending on your pet's needs. I've grown up taking care of my own dog, Maddie, a small cockapoo, and also taking care of friends' cats, puppies, dogs, birds, and rodents. My housemate had a cat, MooMoo, when I lived with her in college and it was very fun taking care of her and snuggling. I also have my own baby, Triple, a tabby cat who I love dearly who stays at my place.

About: I've taken care of and watched animals for practically my entire life, but the first time I had ever watched animals by myself was when I was around 10. I frequently watch and let my aunt's dogs out and have a cat of my own. I hope to have many animals someday! I am currently going to school full-time, but my classes only take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I will have plenty of time to hang out with your animal! I currently have a cat, so if your animal has an aversion to cats, I recommend booking someone else! My cat does not like other cats, but he has his own area, so they will not interact if I watch your cat in my home. If I pet sit at your home, I am accommodating to anything you need, whether staying over or just popping in to let them out!
About: I have experience and love for dogs of all sizes, breeds, personalities, and ages. Though my schedule fluctuates, I can usually provide potty breaks, outdoor time, and walks up to two times a day, in addition to morning and bedtime feeding and other miscellaneous requests. I look forward to getting to know and love your dogs! I work a part time, flexible schedule, so with enough notice, I can be around for much if not all of the day, and stay overnight where necessary. I care for pets in their homes, but I unfortunately do not offer boarding or pet services in my home at this time. I will always treat your home environment with the respect and care it deserves. It is always my goal to leave your home the same or better than I found it, and leave your pets feeling happy, loved, and safe upon departure.
About: As a pet sitter I've had the chance to get to know a wide range of fur friends––from recently re-homed rescues who need supporting adjusting, to senior dogs in need of extra attentive care and walks slow enough that they can smell the roses. I love working with both cats and dogs, feel comfortable giving pets medications, and can tend to your pets needs, whether that be lots of space or extra trips to the park. I currently work part-time, giving me plenty of time to check in on your pet. I work mornings to the afternoon Monday through Thursday in Oakland. Happy to talk through how to best support your pet's regular routine. I'll be attentive to your home space, making sure your pet is safe and cared for. I am happy to send updates while you're away and will make sure your pet is getting the love, care, and activity they need, so you can relax.
Florence dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kristin was great with my reactive dog and two cats! She was patient and attentive to their specific needs and personalities. And gained my dogs trust quickly during the meet and greet. She was patient with my more skittish cat and made sure she ate and gave detailed updates. Highly reccomend!

Another great experience with Sharene! We had scheduled a drop-in for a day when we'd be gone for a long time and then on the day of, we'd already left home when we realized we'd made a mistake and our pup could really use an extra drop-in sooner. We didn't expect it at all on such short notice, but Sharene was responsive and flexible and popped right over to be with our pup. Sharene saved the day and helped make a stressful moment become no big deal. Thank you again!
