Carrie was a great sitter for my two cats! She was able to help me out last minute, and she was very responsive and very understanding of the last minute tweaks I made to their care. I would recommend her to any other pet owners in the area!

About: Hi - I'm Andy and during the summer, I grow organic veggies on a farm and in the winter I am a full-time pet caretaker :) I am currently farming part time 8-4 Tues-Thurs and part time baking Friday/Sunday 8-3. I am usually an early riser but can also wake up earlier or stay out later depending on your pet's needs. I've grown up taking care of my own dog, Maddie, a small cockapoo, and also taking care of friends' cats, puppies, dogs, birds, and rodents. My housemate had a cat, MooMoo, when I lived with her in college and it was very fun taking care of her and snuggling. I also have my own baby, Triple, a tabby cat who I love dearly who stays at my place.

About: I have cared and worked with cats and dogs since a young age. I will take my time to get to know your animals and they will trust and look forward to seeing me! I work as an educator, so my summer is open and super flexible. In July, I will be working from 8:30am - 12pm Monday through Thursday. Either way, I am a morning person. I love waking up and relaxing on the couch with the animals drinking some coffee or tea, and then spending the day on the couch or outside running around depending on their mood. I fully communicate with clients to ensure set boundaries and specific pet care needs. I can be hands on and active, or simply a presence in the room to ease anxiety.

About: I’ve spent over a decade working with animals, starting in Birmingham, Alabama, where I rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed dogs through a bully breed rescue. I’ve also rescued and socialized cats and kittens, rehoming entire families. I currently have an active profile with Trusted House Sitters that has several five star reviews. After moving to New England, I worked at a cat hospice and later as a veterinary assistant at an emergency hospital. I’ve always had animals since I was a kid—especially cats—and I’ve also cared for reptiles, small pets like hamsters, and even fish. I’ve lived in many homes over the years and have often housesat for friends and family, so I’m comfortable caring for both pets and the spaces they love. I even have experience as a house cleaner and organizer and believe in leaving spaces better than I found them. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I work part-time as a cheer coach a couple of times a week and occasionally help with our family business, but my schedule is very flexible. This allows me to be available most days for quality time, pet visits, walks, and check-ins. I enjoy building pet care into my routine and making sure animals get the attention, exercise, and care they need while their owners are away. 🐾 Caring for animals is truly a passion of mine, and I treat every pet with the same love and attention I would give my own. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, their safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I believe every walk, play session, or visit should be a highlight of their day, and I make sure to give them plenty of affection, attention, and enrichment. I’m attentive to their behavior and needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and happy while their owners are away.

About: I started my first dog walking business at the age of ten, “Paws on Petsitting” complete with business cards and all! I love to spend time outdoors and enjoy the fresh air and what better than to have the company of a furry friend?! I am a passionate caregiver and will never leave without a few extra treats and lots of belly rubs. If personal space is your pets MO, we can do that too! I love to get to know animals and their unique personalities and it brings me lots of joy in the day to get to give them company. Communication is a key part of my services and I want to make sure that both you and your pet are comfortable and confident! I am recent graduate from Hampshire College with a BA in photography and plant biology. Exercise is always a part of my day whether it just be a walk in the sun, or a trail run and I would love to bring your pet along. I am very reliable and working in the service industry for 8 years now I never leave a job unfinished or without double checking my work. About: I have over 13 years of experience caring for my Labradoodle and have developed a strong understanding of dogs' needs, behaviors, and routines. In addition to caring for my own pet, I have experience walking and looking after friends' dogs, giving me confidence working with pets of different personalities and energy levels. I am reliable, attentive, and committed to ensuring every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. As a UMass student on summer break, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to care for your pet. I am committed to providing reliable, attentive care and treating every animal as if they were my own. When caring for pets in a client's home, I make it a priority to follow their usual routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. During drop-in visits, I ensure pets have fresh water, are fed according to instructions, receive plenty of attention and playtime, and have any other needs met. On walks, I focus on safety, exercise, and making sure each dog gets the activity level they need. I treat every pet and home with respect and care, and I always keep owners updated with photos and messages.

About: I have experience and love for dogs of all sizes, breeds, personalities, and ages. Though my schedule fluctuates, I can usually provide potty breaks, outdoor time, and walks up to two times a day, in addition to morning and bedtime feeding and other miscellaneous requests. I look forward to getting to know and love your dogs! I work a part time, flexible schedule, so with enough notice, I can be around for much if not all of the day, and stay overnight where necessary. I care for pets in their homes, but I unfortunately do not offer boarding or pet services in my home at this time. I will always treat your home environment with the respect and care it deserves. It is always my goal to leave your home the same or better than I found it, and leave your pets feeling happy, loved, and safe upon departure.

About: Hi, I'm Caroline! I'm the youngest of a big family, and we've had many pets (mostly dogs and cats) growing up. I'm very active and love going on long walks with dogs. Throughout my adult life, my friends with pets have relied on me to take care of them while they’re away. I’m also always attentive to pets who have anxiety and make sure to give them the extra love and cuddles they deserve. Most of my availability falls on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. I'm open to dog walking, dog sitting (drop-ins and overnights if need be) at the client’s house. There are currently no pets living in my house, but when my friends leave me with their pets, they are guaranteed to get all of the positive attention and love they need to be happy. At a client’s house, I would make sure their pets receive this kind of attention, while also allowing them to be comfortable in their own homes; I would pay close attention to the pets’ moods and energy levels, playing with them when energy levels are high and also giving them time to relax and be calm when need be too. Above all, safety would be my top priority.

About: I have grown up with pets, and the responsibilities that come with them. I love animals and always care for them like one of mine. My daily schedule ends by 1 everyday so I have plenty of time after classes to hangout and care for your pets. We will have a great time. Your pets safety and care comes first above all. Cassandra was great, amazing, and awesome! We had to get a sitter the very last minute. She was very attentive to both our dog and cat. She followed our request and instructions to the T. She provided detailed reports and is extremely responsive. We had our flights delayed and she was able to help us out with an extra visit. Will definitely rebook for next time - we loved her!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hadley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Hadley with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hadley. On Rover:

  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
