“Dorjee was wonderful with Meryl. I loved that she answered messages quickly and sent photos of Meryl on walks. Despite the great service and I thought good relationship, I was shocked that Dorjee suddenly told me she was refusing to communicate with me or do business anymore because of my questions. This sudden severence is quite upsetting to me. I so much wish she would have told me she had issues with my questions rather than suddenly ending all communication with no warning.”

About: I have been caring for large dogs as part of my family since I was a child. Now, I have multiple clients for whom I provide dog-sitting services. I have experience looking after a wide range of dogs, from big to small and of all ages. When I was younger, I volunteered at Family Dog Rescue in San Francisco. More recently, I spent some time at Emerald City Pet Rescue, where I cared for small dogs and cats. Currently, I am responsible for the week-long care of a senior Labrador (for the past 4 years), and I help another household with hunting dog mixed breeds. I am also capable of handling both low-energy and high-energy dogs. I am currently on winter break until late January and have high availability. I am also willing to take care of people's pets when I am back home for other breaks and near my university (Amherst, MA) I always make sure to give pets their own time to adjust to me and their environment. I always want them to feel comfortable and safe, especially in their own home. If any kinds of issues come up, I will always make sure to notify the owner.

“I came home to a happy cat! Karen was great - She took terrific care of my kitty and house. She was also very responsive, even staying unexpected extra night when my flight was cancelled.”

“Astrid did an amazing job taking care of my cats, Button and Dice, while I was away for 8 days. She checked in on them consistently, kept me updated every day, and made sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. I could tell from her messages and videos that they were happy and at ease with her. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I highly recommend Astrid to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Astrid, for taking such great care of Button and Dice!”

“Mickala is terrific!. Freya was well cared for with timely check-ins and excellent communication from Mickala every visit. Our trip was stress free and we came home to a happy cat.”

About: Hello! My name is Nancy, and animals have been a central part of my life for many years. I bring a calm, patient, and attentive approach to pet care, and I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone trustworthy and observant. I have extensive hands-on experience working with animals through my long involvement with therapeutic equestrian programs, along with years of caring for dogs, cats, and other animals in both structured and home settings. I am especially comfortable with senior pets, anxious pets, pets who thrive on routine, and animals who need gentle handling. I know that every animal has their own personality, comfort level, and routine. I take time to learn what helps your pet feel secure and cared for while you are away. I provide dependable communication, thoughtful care, and a calm environment.

About: For two years, I lived with a cat and played an active role in his daily care — from keeping up with his litter box to making sure he was fed, loved and comfortable. I'm a thorough cleaner, so maintaining a fresh, clean space for your cat is something I genuinely enjoy rather than overlook. Over time, I've had the pleasure of getting to know all kinds of cats — the ones who greet you at the door and the ones who need a little more patience and space before they warm up. I believe every cat has their own personality and preferences, and I take the time to tune into what makes each one feel safe and at ease.
About: I’ve taken care of my family and friends dogs and cats. They have relied on me to feed, water, walk and occasionally give oral medication. I’m currently working up to 30 hours (4 days a week) over the summer while getting my masters at Smith College. I cannot afford to have a dog or cat of my own. I would love to be able give love to other peoples pets, it would be the best part of my day! I will make sure to take safety measures that are given/told to me very seriously. My #1 priority would be the safety of your pet!
“Jacklyn did an amazing job watching my rabbits! She was incredibly communicative- each daily update came with a long description of what the bunnies had been up to and tons of pictures. I would absolutely trust her to watch my pets again.”

“I highly recommend Thomas as a rover sitter. My two cats were cared for like they were his own and I have never been so at ease when away from them. Thomas’s communication is excellent. In arranging pet sitting dates, discussing pet and household needs, coordinating timing of visits, providing rover card updates, videos, and pictures - he exceeded all expectations. Feeding, cleanliness, monitoring cat health were all done with excellence and dedication. Even with these needs met, I often feel guilty leaving them and worry about them not having enough play or attention. Thomas kept them so entertained that that fear went away for the very first time. I have a cat with special needs and Thomas was so attentive to him and thoughtful in how he played with him and cared for him. I was touched that Thomas was engaged with my cats enough to develop a solid understanding of their personalities and have fun with them. His updates regularly made me laugh. I am so grateful he was the one to take care of my cats. To anyone else considering him as their rover, I expect that if you book him you will feel the same.”

“Noah is a caring soul who my sensitive cat liked right away -- cats can tell! He is super reliable, spent time interacting with my cat, and I've already booked him for when I'm out of town again. I'm very glad to have found such a good, local pet-sitter.”

About: I’ve had cats my entire life and they’ve always been my favorite animal. I have hands-on experience through cat rescue, where I helped socialize entire families of feral cats and prepare them for adoption, as well as experience in a cat hospice caring for senior and medically fragile cats. I’ve also worked in an emergency veterinary clinic, which gave me experience observing feline health, administering medications, and recognizing when something may be wrong. I’m comfortable with cats of all personalities and make sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, and compassionate care. 🐱

About: Hi - I'm Andy and during the summer, I grow organic veggies on a farm and in the winter I am a full-time pet caretaker :) I have my own baby, Triple, a tabby cat who I love dearly. Because I got him when I lived on a farm, he is part indoor and part outdoor cat and loves the outdoors. We've lived together for a few years now and I cannot get enough of him :) But because I have my own cat, I know all the intricacies of taking care of one and knowing what they like and don't like and how to take care of one to the best of my abilities. I am very flexible so please let me know everything that you would like me to know about your pet.

“Emilie was great with my cat. She was punctual, responsible, and communicative with me. My cat doesn’t like a lot of people, but she loved Emilie from first meeting! I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

“Grace was so good with our cat, Guppy. She was always on time and followed the instructions we gave her perfectly. Guppy loves to play until he's out of breath, and Grace sent us pictures showing with him panting from the fun time he had. We'd definitely recommend booking with Grace, and we plan to again next time we have to leave town.”

“Erica was so awesome! We had a reunion event in Easthampton which required someone to watch our fur baby while we were out and about. Erica was great to communicate with and was so kind to help coordinate drop off and pick up for our pup to make the logistics easier. We loved seeing the Rover card with all the pupdates and great pics. Most importantly, we knew Sugar was in good hands and we could enjoy our event stress-free. We’d definitely recommend Erica any time!”

“Another great time at Emma’s! You know you’ve found someone special when your dog tries to stall when it’s time to go home:) It’s such a load off my mind to know that Sadie is in good hands, thank you again Emma!”

“I’m so glad to have connected with Gabi (and so is my pup)! I could tell right away that she loves and genuinely cares about any dogs who are lucky enough to hang out with her. And Sadie, my slightly nervous/sometimes hyper girl settled right in. Thanks Gabi, we’ll see you soon!”

“We have loved working with Tricia! Very flexible, understanding, and affordable. She went the extra mile for our senior dog. Can’t wait to book the next visit for our dog!”
About: Parents Jessica and Philip are the responsible adults guaranteeing that your dog will get everything they need, but 13-year-old Josie is the primary caretaker of our dog guests. She is a very attentive, loving and engaged pet pal! Since we started on Rover as a summer job for Josie in 2023, we have hosted dogs of all sizes, energy levels and needs and she loved every single one of them. She gets up early every day (whether or not she is caring for a dog) so she often gives the pups their first walk of the day before anyone else has gotten out of bed. In spring of 2023 Josie rescued an Eastern Phoebe (songbird) that was pushed out of its nest and injured; she fed it dry cat food soaked in sugar water and set it free a week later as a robust young fledgling (see pictures). On weekends and school vacations, Josie has little to do other than care for your dog! We are early risers. Our calendar has school days blocked off, but we would consider boarding a dog during the school week if its needs match Josie's availability so please inquire. Both parents work mostly or fully from home and could manage a midday walk for a quiet dog. Jessica is an elementary teacher and education administrator who is accustomed to carrying great responsibility for the safety of precious smaller beings. She closely supervises Josie as the primary caregiver. Our home is in the woods with access to Mt. Toby trails so your pup will get to enjoy the outdoors several times a day. Sometimes dogs who are anxious in the busy neighborhoods of their homes are much calmer when they come to our quiet, wooded setting. We have a flock of chickens in an enclosed outdoor area.

“We're very happy with Xianshu. He took care of Shah very well, went for a couple of walks with the dog, and sent us plenty of pictures. We left a happy pup, and we got back a happy pup. We highly recommend Xianshu for your dog.”

“Thank you Forough and Amir! We were nervous at first how Russell would do and how he would get along with other dogs, so we were so relieved to hear that he fit right in! We would definitely feel comfortable leaving him with Forough and Amir again and look forward to scheduling another visit!”

“Ziggy was great with our dog Jet! Jet is a high energy Springer Spaniel and she went above and beyond with taking him for hikes and making sure he got enough exercise. She took care of Jet at our home and was respectful of the space and was able to keep Jet’s routine as normal as possible which made us comfortable leaving him with her. We would definitely book with Ziggy again in the future!”

About: We have a combination of 20 years of lovingly caring for dogs of different personalities. We have a friendly and playful whoodle who will be happy to have a buddy for playing in the yard and who also doesn’t mind giving other dogs space if they are less playful. We also have 3 kids who love all dogs and happy to give some extra love. We are able to have a flexible work schedule and work from home. Feeding schedule can accommodate your dogs typical routine and any medications as needed. Just let us know what you need and we can likely accommodate. I have a fenced yard and will consider any extra safety needs that your dog needs. Able to provide 2 walks a day, plenty of time outside and down time as needed.
About: I sincerely LOVE getting to know each individual dog's personality (quirks and all!) and learning about what makes them happiest. I have many years of experience: walking dogs in NYC & in Western Mass; pet-sitting for my friends', neighbors' and partner's dogs (as well as for other types of pets). I create a warm, nurturing and happy environment for my precious furry friends to thrive. (Please note: on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, I am usually available from 11 AM-5:30 PM; on Mondays & Wednesdays, I am usually available from 11 AM -12 PM) I'm currently working part-time as a educator (tutor) so I have ample time to provide dog care (walking, drop-in day care and occasional boarding) during the week, Mon-Wed and Thurs-Friday. On occasion, I may be able to board dogs during the weekend. I live in an extremely peaceful, quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood (the Plains of Easthampton) toward the end of a cul-de-sac. So there is almost no cars or traffic here. I do have a front & back yard. Although it is not fenced, it is backed by trees and, as mentioned, almost zero traffic
About: I've had many different pets including dogs and cats! Experienced with different ages and needs including medications, behavioral, and sizes. Available for boarding, drop in, and walks I currently work mostly from home so I'm flexible for boarding and daytime visits. Love taking long walks and spending time at home with animals. Happy to take dogs on long walks and nature adventures with permission. I have cats and rabbits at home as well. I also have separate space for boarding or day care. Looking for consistent clients to build lasting relationships between me and your pet(s), as well as any last minute needs from new clients.
About: I am a lifelong dog person with a large fenced yard and miles of trails out my back dog. A tired dog is a happy dog. Unless I am traveling myself I am extremely flexible and available. I will let you know if I will need to spend more than a few hours away from your pet before booking a stay. I think it’s important for pets to keep to their normal routine while their people are away. A little extra attention and affection also helps ease the stress of separation. I have a pretty mellow disposition and enjoy cuddling with a furry friend while reading or watching a show.
“John was very caring and supportive to my dog who is anxious with new people. . He was also very flexible with the time, which I really appreciated. I already planned a second day for him to watch my dog.”

“Shawna was a great sitter. My dogs are never tired. But they were worn out when I picked them up so I know they got plenty of exercise and attention. I highly recommend Shawna!!”

About: I have loved dogs since I can remember—I used to read dog encyclopedias as a kid! My own dog and sidekick, Miguel, is a cute rescue with a pronounced underbite. He lives with my family far away, so I am excited to provide services (walking, dog sitting) for pets nearby! Over the summer, I am working remotely and thus have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I am never away from home for more than two hours at a time. All dogs who have stayed at my apartment have been treated as my own; no couch or bed is off limits! 3+ walks a day, and a dog park nearby!
“Lovely, courteous, complimentary to our pup (who doesn't love a dogsitter that identifies and praises all our dog's best features?!?), and a really good sport hanging out with Calcifer on a muggy, hot, tick-filled day. Thanks!”

“Tanya was wonderful with my dog Skylar. It gave me peace of mind to know she was in such good hands while I’m tied up at work. She walks her, plays with her and sends me a report after. I’m super grateful we found her.”

“Dorjee was wonderful! She was kind, dependable and my dog loved her. Sunny was excited to see her each day. We really appreciate her and look forward to working with her in the future.”

“Sarah was absolutely wonderful, she took great care of our girl Minuit. She fed her, and gave her love and attention. She asked about Minuit's personality and habits and that was a very nice touch. Would absolutely recommend :)”

“Noah is very mindful of the heat and keeping my dog as cool as possible. He turned on the AC for me, and shifted the time of the walk. He always communicates, is quick to respond!”

About: I’ve spent over a decade working with animals, starting in Birmingham, Alabama, where I rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed dogs through a bully breed rescue. I’ve also rescued and socialized cats and kittens, rehoming entire families. I currently have an active profile with Trusted House Sitters that has several five star reviews. After moving to New England, I worked at a cat hospice and later as a veterinary assistant at an emergency hospital. I believe every walk, play session, or visit should be a highlight of their day, and I make sure to give them plenty of affection, attention, and enrichment. I’m attentive to their behavior and needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and happy while their owners are away.
“Mr. Sampson absolutely loves his walks with Jacklyn. He’s slightly dog reactive, and Jacklyn handles him just fine! She fills his water bowl when it’s empty, send pictures, and often gives a quick summary of how the walk went. 10/10 would recommend.”

I currently live with a wonderful cat named Goose and I would love to watch your furry friends! About: I was blessed with a feline friend at the age of 2. Although I do not remember all of our times together, she has been by my side through all of life's up's and down's. We have even experienced the responsibility of sharing our home with 2 more companions: a Maltese and a Chihuahua! It is quite a random pool of different beings! Nevertheless, we all seem to get along. I do all I can to ensure their well being is top notch. You really grow a love for your companion(s) and it's hard to not care for them. I am full time and have no restrictions to my schedule. I am available as early as 6:00am and can accommodate appointments during sundown. I am easy to communicate with and straightforward with negotiations. It is a dogs fantasy: a large neighborhood with quiet streets to explore, 2 nearby parks to frolic and play, with a dog park frequently visited by other furry friends and their owners.
“Andy is great! My little dog was comfortable & happy walking with Andy from the moment he picked up her leash. After their walk my dog watched him , wagging her tail, relaxed & happy. Thanks so much Andy! Looking forward to our next walk.”

“Rowyn met with me and my two dogs prior to our scheduled walking. She was great with them and showed clear knowledge of dogs and enthusiasm. She was easy to communicate with, as well as accommodating and gracious with last minute changes I made to my booking.”

“Cannot thank them enough. It was my first time using Rover and on a short notice request- no problem. I got pictures of Alfie playing and cuddling throughout his stay which set me at ease. He also came back smelling nicer and was freshly brushed, he was so happy! I 100% recommend Heather and Norman”

“John took excellent care of my dog, Arrow. We had a meet and greet to make sure this was a good fit, and Arrow stayed with John for a day. Throughout the day John sent me pictures of my boy, having fun, and when I picked him up I could tell he'd spent the whole day happy and engaged. I'll be booking with John again whenever I need a sitter!”

“Emma was great to work with and generously put up with some changes to the schedule on our end. The pictures and videos we got made it look like she and our dog got along very well -- our little guy was having fun or napping happily after a play session. Emma was also able to handle our dog's fairly demanding medication schedule, which we appreciated very much!”

“Summer was amazing with our dog, Abby. She provided pictures and updates regularly. Abby seemed really comfortable when we took her to meet Summer. We appreciate all of the snuggle time Abby got and will not hesitate to leave her in Summer’s care again! Thank you for everything, Summer.”
