About: Grew up with dogs and cats. Raised, trained, and explored with my own yellow lab for over a decade. Love bringing joy to canine/feline friends! Im currently a stay-at-home dad of preschoolers. I’m free most weekdays and weekends, depending on plans. Hours between 9am-2pm work best, although there is room for flexibility. Have a cozy house with a large back yard and am close to many great walk options, including Puffers Pond. I like to get a feel for individual animals and adjust care depending on needs. Many friends and family members have praised my calming approach when dealing with pet care/play.
About: I am so excited to meet your pet! My parents have run their own vet clinic for over 30 years and I have been lucky enough to learn beside them. I have assisted in countless appointments and surgeries and feel extremely comfortable with all types of pets, including puppies, kittens and seniors requiring medicine. I have pet sat for many clients I've met through my years working at the vet clinic and I would love to continue my passion for animals while I am away at school. Whether it is an overnight stay, a walk on the bike path, or just a relief visit, I feel confident your pet and I will become quick friends. I am on currently in school receiving my master's degree in architecture. I have some availability Monday and Wednesday mornings, and a lot of availability Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am available every Friday through Sunday. I will happily follow all of your directions when taking care of your pet. I am a trustworthy person and will not invade your privacy. I will focus on making sure your pet feels comfortable and happy while you are away!
“Jacklyn took great care of my cat Sully when I was out of town. She was super communicative and Sully seemed to enjoy his visits with her. Would recommend her!”

About: Calm, experienced animal care provider in Northampton with years of hands-on experience around animals and therapeutic riding programs. I’ve raised and trained my own four dogs from 8 weeks old, including Canine Good Citizen-level training, and have safely handled dogs in therapeutic environments. I offer dependable, thoughtful care focused on safety, routine, communication, and helping pets feel secure. I currently offer pet sitting on a selective basis so I can provide focused, dependable care and maintain consistent routines for each pet. I require a meet and greet initial assessment for you to meet me and for me to assess your dog. Best fit will be with dogs who enjoy the company of my dog Coco (a Shih Tzu Dauchshund mix) but evening visits, weekends, vacation coverage, and overnight care are fine for dogs that perfer human company. I keep my service area manageable to ensure reliable communication, punctual visits, and attentive care for every animal. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and consistent environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and household preferences, and I communicate reliably with updates and photos.
“Gabriel went above and beyond for my dog! When I returned from my trip she was happy and healthy and wonderfully tired. She usually has very bad separation anxiety and goes crazy when I return but it was as though I’d only been away a few hours rather than multiple days. Gabriel took really good care of her and I will definitely ask him to watch my dog again!”

“So happy I found Daniel because I know June is getting all kinds of love, attention and mental and physical exercise. He’s a real pro and clearly loves what he does.”

“Ash was wonderful! Super responsive to my last minute booking, took really good care of my very social cats, giving them extra pets and attention, and very communicative throughout. They were also super helpful and flexible when our travel plans changed due to a family medical emergency. I will absolutely be reaching out to Ash for pet care again next time.”

About: I’m a very reliable and attentive sitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. I have hands-on experience caring for my own pets, including a German Shepherd and a cat, so I’m comfortable with both high-energy dogs and more independent animals. When I’m home, I regularly walk my dog, so I’m used to handling larger breeds and making sure they get proper exercise. I’m especially good with following routines, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, or giving extra attention to pets that may be anxious or shy. I’m patient with both younger and older pets and adjust my care based on each pet’s needs and personality. Through my work at an assisted living facility, I’ve developed strong responsibility, patience, and attention to detail, which I bring into how I care for pets. Pet owners can trust that I’ll be consistent, dependable, and genuinely caring Pet care fits well into my weekly routine, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I’m available before 5 PM. I plan my schedule ahead of time, so I can be consistent and reliable for walks, drop-in visits, or sitting during those hours. I’m also used to building pet care into my routine from caring for my own dog and cat, so making time for walks, feeding, and attention comes naturally to me. I prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in both my home and my client’s home. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific care needs. I pay attention to each pet’s behavior and body language to make sure they’re relaxed and not stressed. In a client’s home, I respect the space and keep everything clean and organized while making sure the pet sticks to their normal routine. I’m especially careful with things like doors, leashes, and surroundings to keep pets safe at all times. Since I have experience with my own dog and cat, I’m comfortable handling different energy levels and personalities, from active dogs to more independent pets. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and trustworthy environment where pets feel at home.
“Jessica was a huge help and gave me such peace of mind while I was away knowing the kitties were well cared for! Her updates made it easy to enjoy time away without worrying. Thanks again!!!”

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors dogs. Sizes varied from small to big. I love all animals especially dogs. I’m a senior college student at Umass looking to spend my extra time with animals! I’m currently a full time student finishing up my psychology degree. My weekends are normally free and so are my evenings I like to be outside and go on walks so I feel this is a great opportunity to spend more time outside. I live in an apartment off campus. Unfortunately I will not be able to have any animals at my house but I am more than willing to be at yours.
About: My household currently contains 2 black cats and a pitbull mix! I live for the chaos and love that animals bring into a home! I have potty trained young puppies, given an inhaler to a stubborn cat and many more things! I have a flexible full time work schedule and I often come home at lunch or work from home to hang out with my pets. I prefer to keep pets in their familiar environment and visit them. I find that reduces stress and allows for me to build a better relationship with the animal.
About: The neighborhood that I grew up in was filled with dog owners, so I have a lot of experience helping out my neighbors with pet care. I’ve had a variety of experiences in taking care of dogs— ranging from just taking them for a quick walk to housesitting so that a pet can have an overnight buddy! I also grew up in a very pet-filled household (dog, cats, bearded dragon, hamsters, fish), so I love to be surrounded by animals. I’m currently a university student, so, outside of my class periods, I have a pretty open schedule to care for a pet! I love to spend time outside, so I’m always eager to take a dog for a walk or play fetch! I grew up with a samoyed, so I have experience in caring for bigger, energetic dogs. My care style is pretty adaptive to the pet’s energy; I love to play with energetic pets, but I also love to take it slow and have a relaxed time with pets that are older or more timid.

I work nights on Mondays and Wednesday but are usually out by 9pm. I have a dog and 2 cats, So I am not sure how my dog would react to another dog living in her home. I do have a crate and a yard to walk on leash but no fence to free roam.
About: Hi - I'm Andy and during the summer, I grow organic veggies on a farm and in the winter I am a full-time pet caretaker :) I am currently farming part time 8-4 Tues-Thurs and part time baking Friday/Sunday 8-3. I am usually an early riser but can also wake up earlier or stay out later depending on your pet's needs. I've grown up taking care of my own dog, Maddie, a small cockapoo, and also taking care of friends' cats, puppies, dogs, birds, and rodents. My housemate had a cat, MooMoo, when I lived with her in college and it was very fun taking care of her and snuggling. I also have my own baby, Triple, a tabby cat who I love dearly who stays at my place.

From playful puppies to senior dogs, I've had the joy of walking, feeding, playing with, and caring for pets just like yours. I am a music major at UMass Amherst so I have a pretty flexible schedule. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care throughout the week. Whether it’s daily visits, overnight stays, or last minute requests, I’m available and committed to providing reliable care. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on creating a calm, consistent, and safe environment by sticking closely to their usual routine. I understand that every pet is most comfortable in their own space, so I take care to respect both your pet’s habits and your home.
About: I may not have a bunch of years of pet care like others on this app, but one thing I know is that I truly LOOVE pets. I’m patient, dependable, and eager to learn while giving pets the attention, affection, and respect they deserve. I grew up with 2 dogs and 3 cats and I can confidently say I loved them and deeply cared for them while I had them. Now I wish to spread my love and care to other pets.❤️ With college starting, I have class from 9am-2pm, I’m available most days and have a flexible schedule. I have swim practices at night Monday through thursday, but outside of that I’m free and happy to dedicate my time to caring for pets. I take safety and trust very seriously. I follow pet owners’ instructions carefully, keep environments clean and calm, and make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and treated with patience and respect at all times.
Amherst dog parents share their Rover experiences
Gabriel went above and beyond for my dog! When I returned from my trip she was happy and healthy and wonderfully tired. She usually has very bad separation anxiety and goes crazy when I return but it was as though I’d only been away a few hours rather than multiple days. Gabriel took really good care of her and I will definitely ask him to watch my dog again!

Lily was so sweet to our dog Nala! Our dog is about 85 pounds and strong so we are grateful that she was able to manage her trouble free. Nala immediately felt comfortable with Lily and looked forward to seeing her each day. Lily was reliable, consistent, and communicative.

Adrianne took such wonderful care of our pit/lab mix dog with social anxiety. She went out of her way to make sure he had everything he needed and even helped us as well! During a recent heat wave, she made sure he had more than enough water and cracked some windows (at our request). Her veterinary training is a huge asset and helped us to feel secure. Even though he threw her a few curveballs like pooping on a toad, her professionalism, flexibility and heart were top notch. We couldn’t be happier!
