“Brooke was an absolute lifesaver for our family when we got in a tough spot with a home move and we had absolutely no options for our large, elderly matriarch of a dog. I would enthusiasticaly recommend her to anyone. Our dog needed so much extra attention and we are really indebted Brooke and her family for helping us out.”
“Lindsey was great. She handled changes in scheduling. She kept our dog and another visitor separate when they weren’t getting on that well, but shifted gears when another visitor was a better fit, demonstrating flexibility and good decision-making. Our dog enjoyed her yard and her family’s company. We appreciated that he was in good hands. We’ll definitely have him stay there again.”

About: I have always had at least 2+ dogs in my house since I was born. I currently have 2 of my own who make life so much better! I know it’s not always easy to work and have pets but I hope I can help some people no matter if it’s letting them out or walking them. I am currently a nurse but looking to also do house sitting, dog walking, drop ins, whatever is needed! I am available to help anytime after 4pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends! I am willing to go late as well! Some days I can also go before 7am I have two pets in my home one is a lab mix and one is a heeler mix. Both love all animals and people. They’re both three years old.
“Allison clearly loves dogs and looks after all of them with great love and joy! She provided my two dogs a safe home away from home for 5 nights. She gave Ruby her medicine and made sure all their needs were met. She is excellent and we will be back!”

“Ali and his wife took great care of Lilly while we were away. The pictures of Lilly and their pup Hasti were great as was the video they sent of Lilly at her favorite place the dog park. We recommend them highly.”

“I recommend Novelette highly. It seemed to take a bit for our dog to settle in, and Novelette was very patient & accommodating! She was a great communicator & sent plenty of pictures to keep me up-to-date on our dog. She was kind & flexible. Thank you again, Novelette!❤️”

“Lisa was FANTASTIC, and we are pretty nervous dog owners. We needed an early dropoff and late pickup while our daughter graduated, and Lisa was super accomodating. We were secure and our pup was happy and safe. THANK YOU LISA!!!”

“Caitlin and her family took incredible care of our dog! She has stayed with them in the past and loved the accommodations AND the TLC! Caitlin provided a few photos while we were away, which only further assured us our pet was being well taken care of! Thanks again!”

“I have been using rover for 4 years now and Amy has been the best petson to take care of my dog "Johnny" so far. She is Highly Recommended and will be using her to take care of my Dog moving forward. The pictures she sent us we awesome and it really looked like my dog was living his best life lol. You will not be disappointed.”

“Angie was great! She kept me updated, made my dog feel comfortable and adjusted well to any last minute modifications. Very appreciative of her understanding with things. ??”

“Dorothy was great - she and her family made Bruno feel very welcome and secure and kept us updated while we were away. He has a special diet and daily medication and she was great with giving that to him. Definitely will book again.”
“Emma was great to work with and generously put up with some changes to the schedule on our end. The pictures and videos we got made it look like she and our dog got along very well -- our little guy was having fun or napping happily after a play session. Emma was also able to handle our dog's fairly demanding medication schedule, which we appreciated very much!”

“First time using Rover and had a great experience with Keith & Ashley. Had last minute travel plans come up and they were very accommodating and kept me updated and in the loop all weekend. My dog is anxious and has some separation anxiety and they made him feel right at home.”

“Austin was fantastic about communicating both before and during our dog’s stay. He was great with her medications and making sure she was taken care of so we didn’t have to worry about her. She was one of the family while she was there. She’ll definitely be back”

“Kim was so responsive and was a great sitter for our ten month old puppy with medical issues. She had no problem giving him his medication and taking him for a walk in his stroller. Jett made doggie friends, and when I picked him up, he greeted me with his usual vigor and then lay down at her feet. A sign that he trusts her and had fun! She sent updates and photos. I’ve already booked Kim for our next trip!”

“Morgan was super helpful when I needed a sitter on my road trip! She was so good with Molly and helped out extra since Molly wasn’t feeling the best on my trip and eating irregularly”

“Kristin gave our border collie an amazing couple of days. Tons of outdoor time, tons of activity, great company with other dogs and lots of pictures/videos shared during the stay. Kristin clearly loves dogs and she made me feel comfortable every step of the way.”

“Jessiana did great with Winter and Ollie! She sent me updates on a regular basis, and the dogs were so tired when they got home! She was understanding and it’s apparent she really cares about animals. Highly recommend her!”
About: I have always loved and lived with pets. Growing up we had multiple cats and a dog or two at any given time. In high school, I convinced my mom to foster a litter of kittens for our local humane society and we ended up caring for litters and kittens and puppies as well as seniors and sickly dogs for years to come. Right out of college I adopted my cat, and she has been my constant companion ever since. A decade later I rescued a very reactive dog and worked for 5 years on his reactivity. We made great improvements together! If you need someone to walk your reactive dog during the day, I’m your gal! I’d also love to care for your chill, non-reactive dog when you go out of town. I have a very active toddler, so I can only board dogs who are reliably safe around small children. I am available Monday-Thursday from 9-3 for drop ins and dog walks, with some flexible availability on the weekends too. Available for boarding as well this winter I have a large fenced portion of my back yard, as well as easy access to the bike path. We have some baby gates in our house, and more in storage, if that makes sense to make your pets comfortable.
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Florence is $50
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Florence
Heidi is such a wonderful pet sitter. We were so fortunate she was able to take our wonderful senior rescue pup for a week. My dog is a love, but takes time to warm up to people and Heidi gave him so much grace and set him up for success. He was sick one day while in her care and I so appreciated her non alarmist, calm caring for him and frequent updates. Sometimes when we get our pup back from away stays he's notably stressed. I think he actually came home calmer than ever from his stay-cation with Heidi. We hope she never stops pet sitting.

It was our first time boarding our dog and we had an amazing experience with Emma. Our dog was immediately comfortable with her and settled in very quickly. I could tell from her photos and videos that he was comfy and happy. Emma put us at ease as two very nervous pet parents but we did not worry at all. We are so thankful to have found Emma and would not hesitate to work with her again.

We are extremely happy with the care and attention Jodi gave our 11-year old terrier mix, Dasher. Jodi offered us a meet and greet before our vacation dates that put us at ease right away. Dasher checked out her home with his nose while reviewed his daily routines, medicines and likes/dislikes. Jodi asked great questions that showed us that she truly loves dogs and gets their individual personality quirks. Dasher took to her quickly and enjoyed ear rubs during our meeting. We received at least one message and photo of Dasher from Jodi each day he was in her care. He clearly looked happy and comfortable, and got lap time with Jodi as well as walks and supervised yard time. We're already booked to have Jodi care for Dasher again soon. Highly recommend!

Evan took great care of Scout. Great communication throughout and Evan went above and beyond in caring for our boy. We were sent pictures and updates regularly. Scout was given so much love, exercise and care. Would def rebook. We are grateful that our pup was so loved while we were away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
