I work in faculty support on an academic schedule so I am available full-time in the summer and in-between semesters. Emily is a vocational high school teacher with all holidays and her summers off as well. With enough planning and prior notice I can make pretty much any length of stay workable depending on your pups needs. 👍

I summer over in a quiet dog friendly cabin on a very dog friendly "street" its a dirt/gravel dead-end road that leads to a massive dog friendly lake. I've never met a dog (or a distraught owner) who doesn't love this place as much as me. If you want to do something nice for your furry companion, send them here instead of a discount dog prison. You're not just renting a space for your pup, you are hiring a responsible dog owner replacement who will be with them 24/7 while you're away.

I have no age or breed preferences here! Big, small, super young, super old, highly active, sleepy couch potato, they all get the same love and affection here from pitbulls to pomeranians. I'd be more than happy to do a meet and greet to see if your dog is comfortable with me and my residence. The more information provided, the better I can help make your dogs stay here personalized and wonderful. Thank you for your consideration.
A typical day
A typical day here is catered towards your dog, and may consists of a morning routine, let out early morning pee/poop then Breakfast. Late morning walk, usually into the early afternoon depending on your dog. Snacks, treats, a swim on the lake. snuggling on the couch. belly rubs. Evening walk into sunset. Then back for Dinner and a late night pee/poop before bed. Some dogs like to stay up late and some prefer to sleep in early. It's always vacation here. Some dogs walk more than others but as far as I am concerned the land around here is limitless on foot. If your dog is younger and energetic, I'll walk with them around the light trails/yard and play with them until they sleep. If your dog is middle aged and well behaved, I'll plan out and walk with them to bigger destinations depending on their ability/excitement levels. If your dog is older and sweet, I'll walk with them around the cabin as much as they want and sit with them sleeping on the couch while I do administrative work. Psycho puppies, noble middle aged dogs, sleepy seniors, I'll take care of them all.

Hello Humans! Leaving your home for awhile? Thinking about sending your canine companion on a doggy vacation of their very own? Welcome to Muddy Paws Retreat, I run a full-time overnight doggy summer camp in canine paradise on a sleepy dead-end dirt/gravel road deep in conservation land in Littleton Massachusetts. Schedule a ten to twenty minute meet and greet and see for yourself! Also if you haven't already browsed through the hundreds of photos of the dogs I've watched throughout my career feel free to do so. 😊 I have been around animals my entire life and have lots of experience taking care of them. I started Muddy Paws Retreat back in April 2015, I offer kennel-free boarding where your dog will be treated just like my own. They will have free roam of the entire property where we've set it up to be safe for them so they don't get into anything they shouldn't. There is plenty of green space in all directions. A usual day here consists of walking around the forest and my large dog friendly property. Also depending on your pups physical abilities swimming on my lake, hiking around the local trails and of course as many potty breaks as your furry companion wants. We try our best to create a safe and fun environment for your dog. Why I love dog sitting: All my life I have lived with dogs until now. I grew up in a rural part of Massachusetts surrounded by dogs. I have always enjoyed their company but I wouldn’t call it dog sitting on account that your dog will probably not be doing all that much sitting around me unless they want to. I love hiking, kayaking and walking with dogs and feel the need to have a dog in my life at all times. The only problem is I travel way too much regularly to give my full-time care and attention to a dog of my very own. So instead of getting a dog and spending a lot of time finding long term regular professional dog sitters, I decided to just become one myself and offer my services to the general public. Now I set my rover schedule to when I can provide the proper full-time love and attention your dog deserves while you are away, while also filling my own personal doggy-void of course. My experience administering medication: I have experience medicating orally, topically, and so on. If you have a certain way you'd like to have your pets medicine administered (with treats, etc.) please let us know! 💕 I charge $150 dollars a day, no holiday or added fees and I only take dogs from a single family at a time. I used to feel guilty leaving my dog to board at a kennel—worried she would be stressed out and sleepless. Now when I leave her with Evan it feels like she is on a vacation, getting lots of attention, fun activities, and naps! No more guilt.
It sure looked like Pippi was away at summer camp--swimming, hiking, and lazing in the sunshine! I imagine her "normal life" will seem boring in comparison. I appreciated the updates and photos Evan sent each day and I knew Pippi was in excellent hands.
This was the first time I've left my reactive dog with a sitter and I felt so comfortable leaving her with Evan for over a week. His knowledge of dogs helped him quickly understand her behavior. I appreciated that he took her on long hikes in the woods each day to make sure she got plenty of exercise. I will definitely reach out to Evan again when I need a dog sitter.
Evan bravely and enthusiastically took on our temperamental poodle and cared for him while we were in town for a wedding. He sent many great pictures showing a happy, acclimated Buster that served to ease my mind throughout the weekend. I'm going to encourage all my friends to get married in the Northampton area now that we've found Evan, and I recommend him highly.
