“I have been using rover for 4 years now and Amy has been the best petson to take care of my dog "Johnny" so far. She is Highly Recommended and will be using her to take care of my Dog moving forward. The pictures she sent us we awesome and it really looked like my dog was living his best life lol. You will not be disappointed.”

“Fora and Amir have taken in Preston several times while I’m unable to care for him. He is always happy to go back as they spoil him rotten! I get several pictures everyday and Preston always looks very happy! Highly recommend!”

“Caitlin and her family took incredible care of our dog! She has stayed with them in the past and loved the accommodations AND the TLC! Caitlin provided a few photos while we were away, which only further assured us our pet was being well taken care of! Thanks again!”

“Megan was great. We have never left our pet with someone we didn’t know and she sent pictures and updates which made us feel very good. She was attentive to our pet’s needs. We will use her again for sure!”

“Christian responded quickly to our initial request & because we had a long drive he agreed to accommodate a 2 hour drop off window (we texted updates). He was friendly at drop off, happily engaged the dogs, asked good questions about their needs & sent photos as requested. At pick-up he offered details about their stay. Both dogs were happy to see us but seemed to have enjoyed their night with Christian. Would book again”

About: I have been the proud dog dad of Franklin, a rescue 15 year old terrier mix who suffers from separation anxiety, for over 10 years. More recently, I have cared for him through eye removal surgery as well as terminal joint and heart issues. As a result, I have experience giving oral, ocular and topical medications. I have this experience with other dogs as well, as I am always quick to volunteer for any opportunity to walk or babysit a friend or families dog - even going so far as to visit dogs rather than people at family weddings. I am a recovering lawyer who wants to devote 100% of my time to your dog! Please check my schedule or reach out. Thanks, and tell your dog I said hi! First and foremost, I care for animals by showing them love and respect. When it comes to caring for your pet, I will conscientiously follow all instructions you provide and never put your pet in any danger. I am 100% focused on your dog when they're in my care, so I don't give them an opportunity to do anything unsafe!
“Adam was fantastic! Quick and clear communication from the initial message all the way to pick up. Adam was very friendly and has an immaculate house, so I felt very comfortable leaving my dog for the long weekend. His dog Rocky was friendly as well and was a great playmate for my dog Max. I will definitely be booking with Adam again!”

“Allison was very responsive from the very first time I reached out - and I was comfortable with her right away! She sent me updates and pictures every day and I knew my dog was in good hands. While I typically have friends watch Jax - Allison will be my first choice next time we have to go away! She is definitely a dog lover and her family loved my dog too! Perfect setting for a doggie vaca while you are on yours! Thanks again Allison - having my mind at ease away from my "baby" helped me enjoy my vacation sooooo much more.”

“Samantha and her family were amazing with Strider! She worked to figure out the best way to burn his energy and to keep him happy. As a bonus, she lives in an area any dog would love with places to hike and things to smell. I absolutely recommend her!”

“Glorymar and her husband are so welcoming, friendly and polite! Billy Ray had a nice time there, and she gave a full report, so I could tell how very much she cared for our precious boy! She was also very accommodating and flexible with our plans.”

“Kim was great with my high energy dog. It was the first time he had stayed overnight with somebody outside of my family and it went great. Would have him stay over again!”

“Gabi was a phenomenal host to our 11 year-old dog. She took her for multiple daily walks, sent photos, and kept us informed of our pet’s well-being. Gabi was very thorough throughout the entire process, from taking time to meet our dog ahead of the three-day stay, to sending communications us throughout the weekend. We were lucky to find Gabi!”

“Morgan was super helpful when I needed a sitter on my road trip! She was so good with Molly and helped out extra since Molly wasn’t feeling the best on my trip and eating irregularly”

“Lissette was absolutely wonderful with my two big dogs! This was the second time I've used her for in-home boarding, and once again, she exceeded my expectations. My dogs genuinely seem to enjoy their stay with her, which gives me so much peace of mind when I travel. I really appreciate being able to leave them in a home environment instead of a kennel or boarding facility. They get the daily interaction, attention, and comfort they're used to, and I get to relax knowing they're being treated like part of her family. Lissette is also incredibly flexible with pick-up and drop-off times—she honestly couldn't make the process any easier. Communication is great, and it's clear she truly cares about the dogs in her care. I'm so grateful to have found someone I trust with my babies, and I look forward to continuing to book with her whenever I need overnight care. Highly recommend!”

“Russ and Janet are great. Sophie was in 7th Heaven with them. Walked and played with and cuddled. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Having just moved to the area, we’re thrilled to now have a go-to sitter for our pooch.”

“Ali and his family, including their dog, were great! Ali set up a meet and greet for our dogs to get to know each other, which was much appreciated. He asked good questions, was accommodating, and sent photos and a video of my dog in his home. Very happy!”

“Kat was so flexible and accommodating for a last minute new booking. super communicative and lovely to work with. She has a lot of experience with dogs with mobility concerns.I know my dog had a great time hanging out with her — I would truly recommend her dog sitting services to anyone who needs it.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Leeds
We are extremely happy with the care and attention Jodi gave our 11-year old terrier mix, Dasher. Jodi offered us a meet and greet before our vacation dates that put us at ease right away. Dasher checked out her home with his nose while reviewed his daily routines, medicines and likes/dislikes. Jodi asked great questions that showed us that she truly loves dogs and gets their individual personality quirks. Dasher took to her quickly and enjoyed ear rubs during our meeting. We received at least one message and photo of Dasher from Jodi each day he was in her care. He clearly looked happy and comfortable, and got lap time with Jodi as well as walks and supervised yard time. We're already booked to have Jodi care for Dasher again soon. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
