“Natalie was great! Communicated with us throughout, sent lots of pictures, and wrote thoughtful, entertaining updates for each visit. We hope Natalie will be available next time our cats need a sitter!”

About: I have had dogs and cats as part of my family all my life. I have taken care of puppies and kittens to seniors and every step in between of my own and friends and family. My job is based on volume and is generally 6 to 8 hour day. I work 5 minutes from my house and at anytime if needed I would be able to run home for a potty or medication break My dogs are my world. I provide the up most safety standards for all of the furry paws that come into my life. I believe in treating everyone pets in a manner that I would expect mine to be. I have gone above and beyond to provide a secure fenced in yard. I also have a gate between the living area of my house and the front door to keep dogs from running out.
“Tanya is fantastic! She asked good questions about my cat’s routines and behaviors which immediately put me at ease knowing my cat was in capable hands. I also really appreciated when she asked me ahead of time if I’d mind if she was a little late one of the days due to other bookings - I really appreciated that proactive communication. She sent detailed updates with plenty of pictures, and she even agreed to take in our mail and water the plants. I highly recommend her and will absolutely request her services again!”

About: I’ve spent over a decade working with animals, starting in Birmingham, Alabama, where I rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed dogs through a bully breed rescue. I’ve also rescued and socialized cats and kittens, rehoming entire families. I currently have an active profile with Trusted House Sitters that has several five star reviews. After moving to New England, I worked at a cat hospice and later as a veterinary assistant at an emergency hospital. I’ve always had animals since I was a kid—especially cats—and I’ve also cared for reptiles, small pets like hamsters, and even fish. I’ve lived in many homes over the years and have often housesat for friends and family, so I’m comfortable caring for both pets and the spaces they love. I even have experience as a house cleaner and organizer and believe in leaving spaces better than I found them. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I work part-time as a cheer coach a couple of times a week and occasionally help with our family business, but my schedule is very flexible. This allows me to be available most days for quality time, pet visits, walks, and check-ins. I enjoy building pet care into my routine and making sure animals get the attention, exercise, and care they need while their owners are away. 🐾 Caring for animals is truly a passion of mine, and I treat every pet with the same love and attention I would give my own. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, their safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I believe every walk, play session, or visit should be a highlight of their day, and I make sure to give them plenty of affection, attention, and enrichment. I’m attentive to their behavior and needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and happy while their owners are away.
About: Calm, experienced animal care provider in Northampton with years of hands-on experience around animals and therapeutic riding programs. I’ve raised and trained my own four dogs from 8 weeks old, including Canine Good Citizen-level training, and have safely handled dogs in therapeutic environments. I offer dependable, thoughtful care focused on safety, routine, communication, and helping pets feel secure. I currently offer pet sitting on a selective basis so I can provide focused, dependable care and maintain consistent routines for each pet. I require a meet and greet initial assessment for you to meet me and for me to assess your dog. Best fit will be with dogs who enjoy the company of my dog Coco (a Shih Tzu Dauchshund mix) but evening visits, weekends, vacation coverage, and overnight care are fine for dogs that perfer human company. I keep my service area manageable to ensure reliable communication, punctual visits, and attentive care for every animal. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and consistent environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and household preferences, and I communicate reliably with updates and photos.
About: I have cared and worked with cats and dogs since a young age. I will take my time to get to know your animals and they will trust and look forward to seeing me! I work as an educator, so my summer is open and super flexible. In July, I will be working from 8:30am - 12pm Monday through Thursday. Either way, I am a morning person. I love waking up and relaxing on the couch with the animals drinking some coffee or tea, and then spending the day on the couch or outside running around depending on their mood. I fully communicate with clients to ensure set boundaries and specific pet care needs. I can be hands on and active, or simply a presence in the room to ease anxiety.
“Heather is an incredible cat sitter! She loved our kitties, and they loved her! The pictures and report cards we received were exactly what we needed since we missed Mercury and Lynx so much while we were away for two weeks. Heather is caring, loves playing with the cats, is experienced, and knowledgable. She's also very communicative and knew exactly what we needed as pet parents leaving their cats for the first vacation since we adopted them. We would absolutely hire Heather again and would highly recommend her to anyone!”

About: I grew up around dogs and have always considered myself a dog person, though living with a roommate's cat for nearly two years showed me that I can get along with all sorts of fur babies! I adopted my own dog when I was living overseas and loved learning, growing, and spending time with Rambo. I had the joy of living with and caring for my medically-needy and reactive senior pup Rocko for 6 years until he passed away in 2024. I’m a registered nurse, so I’m comfortable with medications, and I’ve received a great deal of behavioral training to support Rocko with his reactivity. I am very patient, energetic, and love spending time with the dogs and getting to know and care for them. I enjoy playing fetch and tug-of-war as well as cuddling and going for walks. I am a self-employed handyperson which gives me the flexibility to take jobs I enjoy while being able to help owners provide quality care for their fur babies while they're away. I am accustomed to letting my dog out around 7am every morning, walking him in the afternoons, letting him out before bedtime, and giving him as much snuggles and attention as he wants during the day. Being self-employed gives me the flexibility I need to make sure my baby gets the care he needs and deserves. Your fur babies will get the same love and attention that they need! In my own home, I’ve had time to figure out what works for my pets and partner/roommate - and we generally stick with what works! In a client’s home, it’s the same idea - y’all are the experts, so I stick to what you know and want me to do! Keeping tidy, putting food away, and making sure there’s nothing hazardous left out are the keys to a safe and happy home environment.
About: I am responsive and communicative, which helps alleviate any unnecessary anxieties while I am taking care of your dog. I have experience working with dogs of all ages and of all different sizes. I work hard to address any particular needs that your dog or cat may have. While I work full-time, I have the flexibility of working from home — which means I can easily step away throughout the day to tend to your pet's needs. I'm available for check-ins and care during the early morning, midday, and evening, and if your pet thrives on consistent company, I'm happy to work out of your home so they're never left alone for long. I pride myself on following instructions carefully and will always keep you in the loop if any questions or concerns arise during our time together. Above all, your pet's comfort is my priority — before anything else, I take the time to understand their unique needs, personality, and preferences so I can provide the best care possible. Every pet is different, and I'm happy to adapt my approach accordingly. Got an energetic pup who lives for long walks and belly rubs? I'm all in. Have a shy or sensitive pet who needs a calm, quiet environment to feel safe? I'll match their energy and give them the gentle, patient care they need to feel at ease.
“Our two cats really liked Mickala. She went above and beyond helping us with several situations such as trimming a cat's nails and cleaning up some ants which got into the auto-feeders.”

“100% amazing experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for any kind of care for their fur babies! Alexis has gone above and beyond for me and my little guy, we couldn’t be more grateful!!”

“Five Stars! I had an absolutely exceptional experience with Dan as my cat sitter through Rover. From the very beginning, Dan was professional, communicative, and genuinely attentive to every detail of my cat’s routine and personality. While I was away, Dan went above and beyond to make sure my cats were not only cared for, but truly comfortable and happy. He provided consistent updates, including photos and thoughtful notes, which gave me real peace of mind. It was clear from every interaction that he has a natural connection with animals and takes his responsibilities seriously. What stood out most was Dan’s reliability and the level of care he put into even the small things—keeping everything clean, sticking closely to their feeding schedules, and spending quality time engaging with my cats so they didn’t feel lonely. I returned home to a relaxed, well-cared-for cats and a spotless space, which speaks volumes about the level of service Dan provides. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and truly exceptional pet sitter! Thank you, Dan—I will absolutely be booking with you again!”

“Shawna did a wonderful job caring for our 17 year old, blind and ailing old cat as well as caring for our farm. We were able to relax and not worry. We received pictures and updates from each visit, which was a huge comfort. We recommend highly and without reservation!”

About: I’ve taken care of my family and friends dogs and cats. They have relied on me to feed, water, walk and occasionally give oral medication. I’m currently working up to 30 hours (4 days a week) over the summer while getting my masters at Smith College. I cannot afford to have a dog or cat of my own. I would love to be able give love to other peoples pets, it would be the best part of my day! I will make sure to take safety measures that are given/told to me very seriously. My #1 priority would be the safety of your pet!

About: Hello my name is Nieves, I have been a devoted animal lover my whole life! I enjoy spending time with animals, and lived with my own beloved dog Roscoe Burgers, until he passed in the fall. I believe every animal is unique and special, and worth getting to know. I am looking to spend time with your furry loved ones, be it going on a walk, or give you complete peace of mind while you are away from home. I am a true animal lover, and can't wait to meet you and your little sweetums. I work from home 3 of the 5 days I work, and enjoy going on walks in the immediate area. I walk before I got to work, on my lunch break, and after work. This is a habit I developed with my beloved pooch, and would be happy to continue with your pup on the leash. I also am happy to provide check-ins, or stays as your pet sitting needs ebb and flow. I am pretty structured, and can stick to the plan, or instructions that you lay out for me. My own dog was sick for almost 2 years near the end of his life, so I am familiar with administering medications, and needing to stick to a stricter timeline as needed. I also enjoy collaging on my phone, and would love to give you picturesque updates of your sweet pal(s).
“Emily is amazing! She made friends with our standoffish scaredy-cat right away and has proved to be incredibly competent and responsive when we need her. We don't know what we would do without her!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 532 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Williamsburg. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Williamsburg. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
