5. Julia B.
About: I have grown up with dogs for my whole life and love nothing more than going for walks and hikes! In fact, I live across the street from the DAR State Forest, so if your pooch spends an overnight in my home we'll have plenty of new sights and smells to explore! I can handle multiple dogs at a time and am comfortable with other animals as well (horses and farm animals included!). I will work with you to make sure that your pet's feeding, exercise, and care needs are met and I will make sure your pet gets the exercise and care that they need. I currently work full-time during the day, but work a hybrid schedule so I can be home some days. I believe that communication is key, so I will be sure to stay in touch with you throughout the stay and would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have before, during, and after our booking. You can be assured that if I watch your pets in your home, you will return to your house in the same condition it was left in (or better!). Whatever your wish, just let me know and I'll be sure to go above and beyond your expectations for the care of your pet! I only accept dogs from the same family for boarding and will not book multiple stays that overlap. If you're interested in horse or farm animal care, please reach out for more information and relevant experience. I usually work from home 2 days/ week and have some flexibility in my schedule to accommodate minor changes (such as switching my in-office days or working half days in the office and half at home). I have a decently large yard that is not fenced in and primarily surrounded by forest. My dog usually goes off leash in the yard and on hikes when there aren't other people or dogs around. I live across the street from miles of quiet hiking trails and lakes, and would gladly take your pet for on-leash or off-leash walks.

6. John M.

“John was great with our nervous Velcro dog. John is definitely a dog/animal person who can quickly read them and see what level of interaction they’re comfortable with. We plan to book with John for future dog-free trips.”

7. Ryan O.

8. Mel & Ariana C.

“We used Mel & Ariana to watch our pups all day while we were visiting our daughter at UMass. They were fabulous hosts and our pups had a great time and were very well taken care of! Will definitely use them again the next time we head up to Amherst. We give them our highest recommendation!”

9. Amad E.

“Amad was amazing!! Would definitely recommend him to take care of your pup. Marley was well taken care of and came back tired from all the walks they went on🙌🏼 10/10”

10. Kristin B.

“I was passing through the area and Kristin was very accommodating about fitting my dog into her home for the few hours in the afternoon and evening that I needed. Thanks to her dog Maggie and her family my dog Sadie felt welcomed and gave her the love and attention she craves. Thanks Kristin!”

With years of experience caring for cats and dogs of all sizes and personalities, I understand that every pet has unique needs- and I treat each one like family. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, medication, or just some extra snuggles, I’m here to provide compassionate and attentive care while you’re away or busy. I’m comfortable with seniors, high-energy breeds, and special instructions, and I always prioritize safety, communication, and keeping your pet happy and healthy. I’m also happy to bring in mail, water plants, or help with other small tasks while you’re away. Let’s set up a meet and greet! I’m currently pursuing my masters degree full time online. This gives me a flexible schedule to accommodate pet sitting or walking. My schedule is pretty open. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I treat every animal with kindness, patience, and the same level of care I’d give my own. I follow your instructions closely, maintain your pet’s routine, and make sure they are loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m respectful of your home, tidy, and trustworthy. I’ll always leave things as I found them. I’m also happy to take care of small tasks like bringing in mail, watering plants, or taking out the trash. Your pet’s well being and your peace of mind are my top priorities.
