About: I love cats, dogs, (guinea pigs, bunnies, and hedgehogs too—though I don't think that's an option here). I grew up with 3 cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, and chickens. I have lived with cats and small dogs multiple times (housemates), and I have petsitted for friends and neighbors throughout my life. I have a lot of experience with cats, growing up with them, and living with many housemates with cats. I'd like my own some day but currently am in a place where I can't quite budget for one. About: I have been the go to dog sitter for family, friends and coworkers for the last 15 years. I was finally able to adopt my very own pup a little over a year ago and have been obsessed with him ever since. We have a small fenced in backyard and live extremely close to the bike path and park! My job is based on volume and is generally 6 to 8 hour day. I work 5 minutes from my house and at anytime if needed I would be able to run home for a potty or medication break My dogs are my world. I have limited experience with walking dogs (I grew up with cats) but have loads of previous and current experience playing with dogs (family and friends). In college I walked and played with greyhounds at a rescue for racing greyhounds, and I also worked for a little bit at an animal shelter. I'd like to use this opportunity to figure out which type of dog I'd like to adopt someday. For now, as a new sitter on here, I'd be most comfortable doing drop in and play visits with cats and dogs of all sizes, and walking dogs of medium size or less. I've been told I have a calm energy when meeting animals, and the three dogs my friends currently own seem to gravitate towards me. I also like playing tug, throwing sticks, and having a lap dog come to me for rubs. I work at a school and have off in the summer. I have a flexible schedule in the summer aside from a few small trips. My plan is to update my schedule frequently to keep up with my availability. When I am back at work, I will have to revamp my schedule. As for right now, I would prefer to go to the pet's home, as mine is not currently pet appropriate (plants and size). If I come to know a cat and owner well, I would adjust and put the plants in a closed room so the kitty could safely roam the rest of the house. At a pet's house, I would love a run down of their favorite toys, when treats are allowed to be given, etc. I love taking photos already, so would absolutely love to photograph your dog or cat being cute and fun, and send those as an update.

She responded very promptly and even made extra time in her schedule to squeeze in a meet and greet before walking and feeding Norma later that day. I currently work as a full time teacher, so I have time for pet care in the evenings most days of the week and even weekends. I care for pets by trying to understand what they need and giving them lots of love and attention. I am also fit enough to lift a dog if needed.

About: I was blessed with a feline friend at the age of 2. Although I do not remember all of our times together, she has been by my side through all of life's up's and down's. We have even experienced the responsibility of sharing our home with 2 more companions: a Maltese and a Chihuahua! It is quite a random pool of different beings! Nevertheless, we all seem to get along. I do all I can to ensure their well being is top notch. You really grow a love for your companion(s) and it's hard to not care for them. I am full time and have no restrictions to my schedule. I am available as early as 6:00am and can accommodate appointments during sundown. I am easy to communicate with and straightforward with negotiations. It is a dogs fantasy: a large neighborhood with quiet streets to explore, 2 nearby parks to frolic and play, with a dog park frequently visited by other furry friends and their owners.

“Karl is excellent, and his care of my doggie pogo was unique in that pogo had a large secure fenced in yard to play in, and Karl has his own doggies who get along well with other doggies. And our puppy got to sleep on the bed just as he does at home with us. I trust Carl. This was a doggy vacation for Pogo rather than dog ‘boarding’”

“We boarded our dog, Guinness, with Heather and Norman for two days, and they were absolutely wonderful! Heather and Norman were sweet and took excellent care of Guinness. They took him for walks and even sent us photos. It was clear that Guinness and their dog, Zeus, got along so well and had a great time playing together. Now that he's home, Guinness seems sad and misses Zeus. We will definitely use Heather and Norman's services again. Highly recommended!”

Despite the great service and I thought good relationship, I was shocked that Dorjee suddenly told me she was refusing to communicate with me or do business anymore because of my questions. This sudden severence is quite upsetting to me. I so much wish she would have told me she had issues with my questions rather than suddenly ending all communication with no warning.”
