“Maya took wonderful care of my pups and my home. She was very responsive to messages and kept me looped in on how things were going, even when Maddie was being a brat. She watered my plants (thank you!!!) and kept things super tidy. I really appreciate everything, because she definitely went above and beyond!”

“Jessica was amazing! Our pups were very happy and cared for in the three days we were away, and she sent us lots of updates and pics! Would absolutely book her again!”

“Stacey was great! She is a very prompt responder and very professional, sending helpful updates at least twice a day. She did great with our large, shy dog, who can sometimes be weird around new people. She left the house very clean and left a lovely note. Thanks again Stacey!”

“Kathleen did a great job with house sitting for our dog. She was communicative and sent us a lot of updates that made us feel good about our dog while we were traveling”

“Brittany did an excellent job taking care of our very elderly dog while housesitting for the week. Brittany is kind, compassionate and responsible, and we would welcome her back!”

“We feel so lucky to have had Sofia stay at our home and care for our pets. She did a truly wonderful job. The animals were happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved, and we came home to a house that was spotless and beautifully cared for. She sent lots of photos and updates, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away, and her communication was always prompt, thoughtful, and kind. It made the whole experience completely stress-free. Sofia is responsible, trustworthy, and has a natural way with animals. We would hire her again in a heartbeat and recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for exceptional pet and house care.”

“Egor was fantastic with our anxious dog, and we would not hesitate to book him to stay with Virgil again! He sent cute updates throughout his stay at our house, and it is clear our dog loves him. And, our house looked great when we returned. Thank you so much, Egor!!”

“Megan is super wonderful and both our dog and cat liked her a lot! Leading up to the dates that she watched Bentley and Blueberry, she was very communicative and was also very helpful in answering all of my questions (this was my first time using Rover). She stayed overnight for 4 nights and sent me great updates each day. She was also very kind and did some tidying up before we arrived home from our trip. She was very flexible and was happy to stay a bit longer if I had any major travel delays. Both Bentley and Blueberry loved her and it was very reassuring to know that my animals had someone there to both take good care of them and keep them company!”

About: I've cared for senior cats for friends, as well as my roommates' cats. I love cats of all ages and personalities, and I'm happy to give them the patience, attention, and care they deserve. I only work some weekends, so I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's playtime or keeping them company at home, I'll make sure they feel safe and loved while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner's instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication, walks, playtime, and any special care your pet needs. I'll treat your home with respect, keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible, and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
About: I have been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember and can’t imagine life without them! I dog sat throughout high school and am looking to continue during my college career. I love all kinds of dogs and really miss mine from home—I’m hoping to get some dog time in while I’m going to school away from home. I’m currently going to school at the University of Washington studying environmental science, so I’ll have plenty of time to hang out with your dogs! I am in a sorority and don’t currently have a job. I am willing and able to follow any instructions for how you want your pet to be cared for. I would love to go for frequent walks and spend lots of time with them so they are happy and have someone to keep them company!
“Noah was an absolutely fantastic dog sitter! He was reliable, communicative, and treated my dog with so much genuine care and attention. I received regular updates and photos, and it was clear my pup felt comfortable and happy the entire time. I couldn’t recommend Noah more highly!”

“Melissa is just fantastic!!! This is our second time to ask her to take care of a cat, a dog, plants and the house for two weeks. She took care of them with love. Our pets are so accustomed with her. She sent us frequent photos and videos, which made us feel easy while away from home.”

“Caleb loooked after our 7-month old Golden Retriver puppy and pet rabbit for 4 days and did a fantastic job! He spent tons of quality time with the animals (lots of walks and time playing outside for the puppy, and pets for the bunny) the house was spotless when we returned home. We would recommend Caleb and will certainly look to book him again when we have a need for a house sitter!”

“Adrian was a wonderful companion to Kiska during our trip! He sent great updates and took him on long walks every morning. Kiska is an anxious boy but Adrian had a very gentle energy and handled Kiska really well. Our home was left in great condition. Our other Rover cancelled last minute and Adrian was able to come for a meet and greet right away and is clearly very capable with animals. Would definitely hire Adrian again!”

“Jade continues to be amazing! Smalls loves her and she takes such great care of him! I came home and I think he misses her already haha! Thank you Jade for being an amazing sitter!”

About: I grew up with labs, have had dogs all the way from yorkies to huskies, and have come to love cats just as much. I have extensive experience with anxious and reactive dogs, and am able to bring a careful, thoughtful and calm to lead the way for them. What you can expect: • Prompt, clear communication and fast response times • Consistent routine and thorough photo updates of every session • A free preliminary Meet & Greet to ensure a great fit before booking Reach out anytime—I’m looking forward to getting to know your furry family member! I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to give your pets some extra energy and attention, and with a flexible schedule. I'm hoping to benefit from the opportunity to be present and moving outdoors! After having pets of my own with plenty of reasons to give us anxiety, I'm highly attentive to the smaller things. For example, keeping doors/windows outside closed, administration of medication, or even shooing them off the couch/table.

About: I've always been a huge animal person and honestly can't wait for the day I have my own pet full-time. Until then, sitting is the perfect way to get my fix and make some furry friends along the way! I'm an avid walker and would love a buddy to bring along, whether that's a long stroll around the neighborhood or a quick loop to burn off some energy. I grew up around dogs and cats and have looked after all kinds over the years, from geriatric dogs to multi-pet households, including pets on special diets and medication schedules. I'm careful about keeping feeding times, meds, and routines consistent, so nothing feels disrupted while you're away. I work from home, so your pet gets real company, and my building has a dog area right there, so potty breaks and outdoor time happen easily throughout the day. I love sending photo and video updates so you can see your pet is happy and having fun, and I always respond quickly to messages. I take it personally when a pet has a great stay with me. Feel free to reach out or request a meet-and-greet, I'd love to meet you both! I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my everyday routine rather than being squeezed into gaps. I'm available for boarding pretty much anytime, any day of the week, since I'm home all day. That means your pet gets consistent attention, regular breaks, and company throughout the day instead of long stretches alone. I'm also an avid walker, so daily walks are a given, not an afterthought. I live alone in an apartment, so your pet gets a calm, quiet space without other pets or a lot of foot traffic to compete with for attention. My building has a shared outdoor dog area right on site, so potty breaks and outdoor time are easy and frequent throughout the day, not something that requires a big production to arrange.
“Mandy was very responsive and timely with all communication. We weren't home when she arrived or left but the pets were all happy and the home was clean.”

“Wesley was wonderful! This was our first time leaving our pets with someone they didn’t know, so we were really nervous about how they’d do. With Wesley’s updates, it was clear that they were happy and at ease. Our very stand-offish cat came around to him, and our very anxious dog was clearly happy and at ease. 100% would book with Wesley again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Laurelhurst
Anna was absolutely amazing, especially caring for our senior dog Tobi. She was extremely patient with him and his eating habits and made sure he was as comfortable as he could be. He skills in handling a senior pet were unmatched. I appreciated her protectiveness and constant updates/photos. Phoebe also adored her. With her anxiety, Anna brought her much comfort while we were away. Anna was also very tidy and respectful of our space. I would rebook her in. Heartbeat!

Catherine was great! She was responsive, sent updates each day, and took great care of our doggos. She followed instructions with detail and made sure the dogs received lots of snuggles, walks, playing, and care! She also took care of our home and kept in clean, opting to clean the sheets and towels upon leaving!

Caleb is such a kind soul. My partner and I were looking for someone that would be interested in taking care of our special needs, handicapped dog Ottis and our sweet girl Noche. When we did our meet and greet Caleb was so sweet. He was very kind to not just our two pets but also myself and my partner. We felt so comfortable with him and so did our pet. He’s a great communicator and he above and beyond to keep us updated and checking in! We really appreciate Caleb and would definitely book him again!

Emily was amazing! She had a lot of pets to take care of for us and did it perfectly! We had our four , plus a rescue that needed constant rotation throughout the house. Daily walks, feedings and play time. Exhausting work, and she was a pro! Thank you for everything! We will definitely use Emily again!

Caitlin is great! Her updates are thorough and the photos are great! We have an old boy and two kittens who require a lot of attention. Caitlin did a wonderful job managing all of their different needs. This is the 2nd time she has kitty sat for us and we will definitely rebook with her in the future.

We had Emma watch our 13 year old (still very active) chocolate lab Kayak for 10 days while away on vacation. Kayak is a bit shy and can take a bit to warm up - but with Emma they had an almost magical bond right away. Emma just knows how to be present, and connect - as well as being extremely good at meeting our and our pup's needs. She managed complicated medications including chemo pills, gave walks and played ball - and provided numerous photos during our time away to put our minds at ease that all was well with Kayak during our absence. If you are looking for an extremely capable, mature, and fun-loving care-taker for your pet - we can't recommend Emma enough! Thanks Emma for a job well-done.
