Safety, trust & environment
I live in a 650-square-foot apartment in residential North Capitol Hill, away from busy streets. Your pet will have to walk up a small set of stairs to enter my unit (or I can carry them). I’m close to Miller and Volunteer parks for longer walks, and I’m surrounded by grass for potty breaks. My apartment cannot accommodate more than one well-behaved pet at the same time, but I am happy to watch multiple pets at the owner’s home. Please let me know your pup’s special needs in advance.

Pet care experience
I’m Em, and I’d love to care for your pet! As a dog mom myself, I understand how difficult it can be to trust your pet with someone new. My hope is to offer you peace of mind so you can go on your trip, go to work, or get a well-deserved break knowing that your pet is in loving, experienced care. About me: I’ve been around dogs since I was born and recently lost my own 14-year-old rescue terrier, Boris. I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages and backgrounds, but my favorites are seniors. I also have experience with extended care for cats, reptiles and plants. What I offer: My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, stress-free environment so your pet feels happy and cared for while their favorite person is away. I love playing, going for long walks and giving lots of love. I love a schedule and detailed list of instructions and will ensure your pet keeps up their daily routine. Pets are allowed in all areas of my home, including on furniture and in my bed if they choose. I also have extensive experience when it comes to senior pet care. My own senior had disabilities that required daily medication management (pills and eye drops) and mobility assistance (like needing help up the stairs or on the couch), and I’m happy to work with you to ensure your pet’s unique needs are met. My apartment cannot accommodate more than one well-behaved pet at the same time, but I am happy to watch multiple pets at the owner’s home. My schedule: I work a hybrid job with two in-person days a week (9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays) but will mostly be working from home with your pet during boarding. I can accommodate day care services any day but Monday and Wednesday. Boarding location: I live in a 650-square-foot apartment in residential North Capitol Hill, away from busy streets. Boarding requirements: — A meet-and-greet with you and your pet at before boarding. — Owner must provide pet’s food, bed, toys, etc. — Dogs must be potty trained. — Dogs should be accommodated to apartment life without excessive barking (neighbors in the halls, noise from upstairs, etc.). — Cats must be litter-trained and adaptable to new environments. Safety and responsibility: — Pets must not have destructive or aggressive tendencies. Pet parents must inform me before booking if pet is reactive to other animals or people. — Pets must be up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, and on flea preventative. — By booking with me, pet parents assume all responsibility for any damage to my personal property and any injuries to me, other humans or other animals caused by their pet.

Reviews

Emily is great! Highly recommend and already have her booked again!

Emily did great with caring for Milo for a few hours. He got play time and a walk and she helped to reinforce training ❤️ Would happily leave Milo in her care again

Ozzy had a very fun time Emily. Emily was very communicative and easy to work with.
Em is a thoughtful, attentive, and loving pet sitter! She adores dogs and is great with all animals. She is always my first choice when I am looking for pet care and I would highly recommend her!
