“Josephine was great with our pups over the weekend, actively communicating during her stay and leaving the house in great condition! Will definitely ask her to watch our two dogs again in the future.”

About: I have many years of global house/pet sitting experience on other sites but am new to Rover. I will be back in the Seattle area from the beginning of October 2026 and will be house sitting until at least September 2027. I have already completed the following house/pet sitting trips: April/May 2023 San Francisco/Bay Area. 5 housesits, cats, dogs, birds and fish, indoor plants, garden. September/October 2023 L.A./Orange County. I took care of 2 homes, dogs, cats, fish, indoor plants, large garden. I sat for a 350 year old original Greek stone home with 8 cats, 2 dogs, a very large garden and exotic plants. November 2025-March 2026. Seattle, Washington. Estepona, Spain. 3 week sit for a large home. 2 dogs, 1 cat, very large orchard and garden. August 2026. Malaga, Spain. 2 week sit for 2 cats. 200 year old historical flat in the centre of Malaga. October 2026-September 2027 Seattle area. I already have 2 confirmed housesits and am currently interviewing for more. One of the benefits of the area that I live is that we are surrounded by nature so there are many animals here. Sometimes when I open my front door in the morning there are deer in front of my gate waiting to see what will happen at breakfast time. Travel/Work/experience: 1993-1994 Worked for a historical museum in Ukraine. Was responsible for finding and conducting video interviews with Ukrainian Holocaust survivors. Specifically we were looking for survivors of Einsatzgruppen events. 1994-1995 High school History/English teacher in Bratislava, Slovakia. 1995-1997 Teacher and then manager of a private language school in Moscow, Russia. 1997-1998 Manager of a bar/restaurant, Koh Samet, Thailand. I ran a beachfront bar with 15 bungalows and a small restaurant. Was responsible for all operations, payroll, staffing etc. 50-100 customers daily. 1998-1999 History/English instructor for City University of Seattle. 1999-2002 Worked as a deckhand in Alaska on Salmon and Crab boats. Yes, exactly as in the Deadliest Catch but 7 years before the show started. Was on my boat each year for between 8-10 months. 2002-present. Owner of a private Language School. I have slowly grown my school into one of the largest language schools in Slovakia. I currently have a staff of over 50 teachers teaching English, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian as well as Slovak for the many foreign managers living and working in multinational companies. My school cooperates with most of the large multinational companies in the area. I also cooperate quite closely with the local and state police departments as well as the mayor and city council all of whom are my students. While I will be house-sitting for you I will be managing my private Language School online. I will always have time to take care of the homes that I sit for as well as the pets regular routine. I always try my best to maintain the same pet schedule. 1st of all I LOVE ANIMALS! Our home in Slovakia is located up on the hill in the woods overlooking the lake. We have a large orchard and our nearest neighbor is about 300 m from us. We currently have 7 cats in various phases of either living, hanging out, or adding us to their busy social/feeding routine. During the Summer I take care of 2 friends' homes so I take care of their dogs, cats, fish, and even a very old turtle. as well. I travel to the U.S. regularly to visit friends/family each and this website is a perfect fit for my lifestyle as I manage my school remotely. To be quite honest, for all of the travelling I have done over the past 30 years, I have not travelled nor experienced the U.S. much which is another reason I have joined this website. I thought it would be a great way to see the U.S. as well as spend time with lots of great pets! I could take you anywhere you wanted on the Budapest metro blindfolded but have never been to Washington D.C. for example. Please feel free to contact me so we can speak in person about your pets, home and your requirements.
“Kathleen really is the best! I’d give her 6/5 stars if I could. She was not only timely with the girls’ schedule, she sent us updates everyday along with pictures of them. We could tell how much she cared for the girls and we can’t thank her enough. Our cat was dealing with some vomiting issues, but Kathleen was on top of keeping us updated and making sure she was doing ok. We can’t recommend her enough!”

“Aaron was wonderful!! He spent lots of time with Bolt, was attentive to Bolt’s schedule, and kept us updated. We definitely recommend Aaron!! He also left our place clean and tidy! Thank you again!”

“Caleb was great! The dogs loved him and he took good care of them and our house while we were gone. We’re so glad we found Caleb and definitely hope to work with him again.”

I am also a part-time musician. The safety and comfort of your pets is my most important priority. I commit to following the “leave no trace” rule when visiting in client’s homes.
“Rhiannon took amazing care of my 6 year old border collie and made sure he had lots of exercise. She left my apartment spotless and was super communicative with pictures and videos daily. Highly recommend and will be booking her again soon.”

“Karen was amazing watching Reese over the holidays! She made sure her schedule was available to watch him at the times he needed and gave him lots of love while we were away. She communicates well, meaning I never worried about my dog while gone. I came home to a clean house and happy puppy!”

“Mandy took great care of our two dogs, Henry and Ted. She followed our instructions, sent photo updates, and we came home to two happy, relaxed pups. Highly recommend Mandy as a reliable, caring sitter.”

“No need to look any further, Adrian is the absolute best! He is extremely professional and took such good care of Bruce while we were gone! We received daily updates and we could tell how much care and attention was given while we were away. Bruce was 3 months old when Adrian took care of him and he even worked on some training. We came home to washed sheets, a bathed dog, clean towels, and a clean home. He was incredibly respectful of our home and went the extra mile for us. We can’t wait for Adrian to come back and Bruce is already missing his new friend! Thank you Adrian :) I am a Rover employee.”

“Noah was great, he was very patient in getting to know Abby and kept us up to date on the progress. Abby did warm up and they became good buddies. Noah was very low impact, the house was as neat as it was when we left. I would gladly have him come back!”

“Raquel was responsive and very affectionate and responsible with the pets! Maggie got lots of walks and the house was extra clean. We were glad we chose her to house sit for us.”

“Aileen just recently house sat and watched our two dogs while we were out of town. Prior to and throughout her stay, she was responsive, detailed and organized. She routinely messaged us with status updates, sent photos and left notes for our return. We appreciate her professionalism, attention to care and follow through. Thank you Aileen!”

“I had a great experience having Tyler watch my big Malinois boy! Her communication was top-notch. Despite one of the buses she needed to get over to my place failing to show up, she still arrived in time for me to head out the door on schedule, due to how early she headed out herself. She gave Ash plenty of things to do and he had a great time. Would happily have her watch him again!”

“Kiddos always have the best time with Allison! She always lets us know how Bella and Blu are doing. It feels great that our fur babies and our house are always in good hands! 🙏🏼”

About: I started working with animals in high school, accruing hundreds of volunteer hours at my local animal shelter, where I honed in on my passion for pet care. As I transitioned to university life, I started walking dogs on the weekends, and really enjoy getting to hang out and provide for other people's pets. I have open availability through most of the week, and for late-evening drop ins over the weekends. This allows me a lot of time and flexibility to devote to caring for your pets. Communication is key, and I strive to ensure all preferences are met during my visit/walk with your pet! I will frequently send updates, such as photos from during my visit/walk, and a little blurb about what your pet and I got up!
“Wonderful sitter. Nikki took amazing care of my dogs and left the house immaculate. Would highly recommend. Great communication and compassion for my girls!! Will definitely use again!”

Noah watched my three dogs for four nights. My pitbull has serious anxiety and can be a little unpredictable. Noah knew how to behave around more difficult dogs and was endlessly patient. I felt comfortable leaving them in his care after our first meeting. My dogs couldn't have cared less when I got home which is certainly an indication that they got plenty of attention while I was gone! Noah kept in touch regularly and sent me lots of pictures. I'm very excited to have found a pet sitter I can trust with my dogs and my home.

Leaving our dogs in dabs, Debs and Paul's care gave us such peace of mind while we were away. The daily update and pictures let us know that the dogs were being well cared for. Especially for our dog with epilepsy, updates about his medication schedule allowed us to have a stress-free vacation.

What a treat to know our pets were well loved and taken care of while away, then happy to have us home and right back into our normal routine with ease. Charlotte was wonderful watching our dog and cat while we were on vacation, sharing cute pictures and making sure they were comfortable and cuddled, plus other household things as needed like packages.

🐾Liane was a PERFECT house sitter for our four pets🐾 We could tell from the way she followed our instructions on our pet’s routines, to being able to give pet medicine, to taking care of our elderly dog, keeping the house clean, and sending us cute updated photos. Could not recommend her more highly; book her now—you don’t need to look any further🐾
