“Justin took care of our two dogs for a long weekend. He kept in touch with us throughout the weekend, sending us pictures and updates. The house was very clean when we got home. We have had other sitters where we could tell the dogs had had several accidents inside while we were gone. Not with Justin! We were happy to see that the dogs were well cared for and happy when we arrived home.”
“Jolene is awesome, she was well prepared with details about toby. She is a creative person and it was awesome to see her draw Toby! Toby loved her!!”

“Theresa was amazing with our very shy dog. I’m always hesitant to leave her but she was in great hands as soon as I met Theresa. We can home to a very happy and calm dog and clean house. Looking forward to our next trip hoping Theresa will be available:)”

“Mary was fantastic! Our goofy boy Ballard has some overbearing parents, so we were a bit anxious about leaving him with a new friend, but they got along so well. She sent many pictures through her stay which helped me enjoy my vacation. We would definitely use Mary again.”

“We always choose Davied first! He is now part of our family. We trust him completely and feel iconplerely secure when leaving our home and our beloved dog in his care. What more do you want? So grateful!”

“Lisa was great with my corgi Mocha. She was very attentive to mocha. Took great care of her and very communicative. I received many updates and cute pictures. I will definitely be in contact with her again. Such a great experience!!!”

“Quinn did an excellent job watching my doggo Kanna. They were really responsive and I appreciated the lovely photos they sent. Kanna got to go on a really long walk at a local park which she surely loved. Quinn super exceeded my expectations in all areas and I'm grateful they could watch kanna for her first time in a new house while I was away.”

“Eunice was great. She took out our pups on regular walks, managed their medication, and kept in regular contact. We’re so happy she’s one of our regulars!”

“Riah was amazing with our nervous dog, Rue. Rue often takes a little time to warm up to new people, and she seemed to feel comfortable with Riah right away--it's clear she has great experience with dogs that need a little extra time and attention. She stayed at our house for a full week and provided excellent care. We will definitely reach out to her again for future stays. She was responsive, left our house in perfect condition, and provided daily updates on Rue with pictures. We could not have asked for a better sitter experience. We would recommend her services!”

“I could tell Jeanine would be perfect for our dog, Ellie, once I read her profile as you can tell that she just cares for animals. Ellie bonded with Jeanine from our meet n greet and was a "day sitter" for three days because our puppy wasn't ready to be left alone for a full day, while I was traveling for work/husband going to office. Jeanine sent regular updates throughout the day with cute videos and pictures of their play time, walks and lap time. She followed our requested instructions, and my husband said that Ellie was genuinely excited every day that Jeanine showed up. We'll definitely book her again!”

About: I’ve watched pets since I was about 10 years old. Lots of experience with drop-ins, overnight stays, and longterm petsitting/housesitting. Am able to administer shots to pets, and whatever one may need. Have great references! Please feel free to reach out if you think this might be a good fit. Thank you for your time🙂 Just moved into my first apartment in Seattle! Working part time as a server at a restaurant in Fremont & am taking classes at Shoreline Community College. Have a lot of free time particularly during the day and work short hours which goes well with watching pets. I am from the San Juan Islands originally, so my pets have a big yard to play around in. I make sure that my pets are active and getting proper care. As for other people, I do what is requested whether that is just spending time with their pet/s, or walking them, or just checking in on them. I know that pets tend to get more lonely when someone isn’t around so I love to be there to help out when I can!
“Zachory was great with our almost-2 yo doodle. Followed our instructions & was very respectful of our house. He kept us updated and sent pics daily which we appreciated. We look forward to using him again in the future.”

“Alex took great care of Bella and left our house in impeccable shape! She even moved the laundry I forgot to move to the dryer! Alex is reliable, kind, and extremely professional”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care Beth provided for my dogs while I was away! From the moment we met, I felt at ease knowing my pup was in kind and capable hands. She sent daily updates with photos, kept my dog’s routine consistent, and even gave extra snuggles,. When I returned, my dog was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for.”

“I have used Jeff multiple times now to watch my dog, Oliver. Jeff is very communicative and always sends pictures of the adventures they go on. I know Oliver has a blast when Jeff comes and stays with him, because when I get home, he couldn’t care less! What I appreciate most about Jeff is I can completely relax when I am away, because I know Oliver is getting the same love and attention as I would give him. Thank you Jeff!”

“Thank you, Lily, for taking care of my little pups! They were happy and well-cared for when we came home. You went above and beyond in taking care of our lawn, flowers and garbage/recycling. We can’t wait to have you come see the pups again❤️❤️”

“Uliana was great sitting our two large dogs for the week while we were traveling. She sent regular updates, and left our home sparkling clean, which was really nice to return to after traveling. I would recommend uliana.”

About: I've cared for dogs my entire life, starting with the family Labradors. As a teen, I adopted a German Shepard and learned formally how to train working breeds. Most recently, I had two retrievers (a chessie and a lab) who passed after 15 happy years traveling around exploring national parks and ultimately retiring on a small island in the San Juans. I miss them/having dog companionship every day, but having recently moved to Seattle I am not in a position to adopt during this chapter of my life. So that brings me to Rover! Outside my personal experience, I've often been hired by friends and family to help with pet sitting. I'm known for being highly capable of handling "trouble" dogs or several at once. Throughout my 20s, I had several jobs in kennels and veterinary offices and have worked with all kinds of dogs at all ages. Maybe I can become a resource for yours? I currently work a (35hr) full time job Mon-Fri with two remote days. I'd love to pet sit in your home, as long as it's commutable by transit for my office days in Pioneer Square! Nothing I love more than exploring new neighborhoods with a new friend. How I keep your dog safe: Understanding how to secure them is first. Proper collars, harnessing, and safe leashing. Ensuring tags are secure and visible. Ensuring there are lights on dog if walking at night. Next is space security. From the kennel if the dog has one, to making sure other animals or rooms that are off limits are properly secure. Then, Ensuring safe building entry and exit (being fully leashed for exterior doors, etc.) During walks, it's important to stay tuned into both my and other dogs body language. I typically maintain distance as a baseline. Ensuring dogs are not eating things off the ground is also important. Most of these goals are achieved by walking in tune with the dog and making sure the dogs attention is on me when needed. I don't typically allow play or interaction with dogs that aren't mine unless I'm doing puppy socialization and the other dogs are relatively known variables. I want to know your dogs quirks. That is the best way for me to keep them safe; being ready for what could go wrong. In your home will vary, and I will make sure we are on the same page in writing and verbally about proper safety protocols.
The median cost per night for house sitting in Fremont is $63

Adriane was wonderful with our cat and dog. She left the house exactly as she found it (spotless!) and even put away the daybed, removed the sheets, and offered to wash the used towels. She also stayed a little longer so they wouldn’t be alone while I was on my way home. To me, that shows someone who truly goes the extra mile and genuinely cares about pets. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her!

This was the first time that I left my cats with a non family member. Kathleen did a great job asking thoughtful questions, approaching the cats gently and communicating with me while I was gone. Everything was tidy upon my return and the cats were well cared for.

Wesley was wonderful! This was our first time leaving our pets with someone they didn’t know, so we were really nervous about how they’d do. With Wesley’s updates, it was clear that they were happy and at ease. Our very stand-offish cat came around to him, and our very anxious dog was clearly happy and at ease. 100% would book with Wesley again!

Katie was so great with my sensitive senior pitbull and fairly active adult chihuahua mix. She was in great communication, especially as a minor medical issue came up for the senior dog and kept me apprised of other minor issues, handling everything with great care. Would definitely trust Katie to care for the again.

Five stars! Machele took excellent care of Benny, our Lab, and Mocha, our 14-year-old Puggle. Machele was extremely thorough, asked lots of detailed questions ahead of time, and carefully planned for anything unexpected that might come up while we were away. Machele communicated clearly throughout the stay and sent us lots of photos, so we always knew the dogs were happy and doing well. We felt completely comfortable leaving Benny and Mocha in Machele’s care and would absolutely hire her again!

Emily was very accommodating for my very last minute request. She was able to come over the day I left and got along just great with my dog Bandit.🙂 I received daily pictures of Bandit out and about and was able to communicate that a Chewy shipment had arrived. Emily was able to go get it and provide new treats to Bandit. Emily is very friendly, easy to talk and text with, and was able to give me any updates I requested. She was even able to work with another Rover pet sitter to switch off for a second week, coordinating key hand-off. Fortunately, I'd used the other sitter before, so introductions with Bandit were unnecessary. I will definitely use Emily again, assuming Bandit is still around that long. He is 15 already. 😕 Thanks Emily!

Nahiely (and her husband) are truly wonderful with our puppy Kit. It was hard to leave her for two weeks, but we knew she was in excellent hands. Nahiely regularly sent updates and photos, helped continue Kit’s puppy training, and took great care of our home. We are so grateful to her!

Desiree and Lucas took amazing care of our dog (and house) while we were away for 3 weeks. They did a great job of learning our routines ahead of time. Their communication was fantastic with daily updates with pictures of their walks and other adventures with our dog. Perhaps most importantly, it was obvious when we returned home that our dog adored them and his experience with them was wonderful. They also did a superb job of taking care of our home and yard while we were away. They have earned our complete trust and we would absolutely work with them again and have our highest recommendation.

Yali was an absolute lifesaver! We needed a pet sitter on very short notice, and she stepped in without hesitation. From the moment we met her, it was clear she genuinely cares about animals, and our cat took to her right away. She kept us updated with messages and photos, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. When we got home, our cat was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared, which says a lot, since cats can be pretty selective about people! We’re so grateful for Yali’s kindness, reliability, and the incredible care she gave our cat. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy who will treat your pet like family, we couldn’t recommend Yali more highly. She truly went above and beyond, and we’ll definitely be booking her again!
