“Jessica came to the rescue after we encountered an emergency issue mid-stay and needed a hero! Even though she hadn’t had a chance to meet our animals with us present, Jessica ran through a verbal orientation with me and then organized an exact time she could be at our house. She was there right on time and took amazing care of our animals the rest of the stay. I got so many great pictures and our dog who’s the most unsure of new folks was completely sold - lots of photos of happy faces and snuggling! Jessica, thank you so much for being so communicative and compassionate about our situation! We appreciate you!”

“Kathleen did a great job with house sitting for our dog. She was communicative and sent us a lot of updates that made us feel good about our dog while we were traveling”

“Margaret watched my nervous dog Taffy for a week, and Taffy warmed up to her quickly. Margaret was responsive, respectful and reliable. I would not hesitate to recommend Margaret for house sitting.”

“Megan is super wonderful and both our dog and cat liked her a lot! Leading up to the dates that she watched Bentley and Blueberry, she was very communicative and was also very helpful in answering all of my questions (this was my first time using Rover). She stayed overnight for 4 nights and sent me great updates each day. She was also very kind and did some tidying up before we arrived home from our trip. She was very flexible and was happy to stay a bit longer if I had any major travel delays. Both Bentley and Blueberry loved her and it was very reassuring to know that my animals had someone there to both take good care of them and keep them company!”

“Lily is awesome! She is super reliable, quick to respond with pictures and text. Great communicator and took great care of our kitties. We even had a date mix up and she was so gracious and flexible. Thank you, Lily!”

About: Hi, I’m Angie (they/she)! I’m a dog parent and PhD student with 4+ years of walking and caring for my own reactive dog, and 17 years of petsitting dogs, cats, small mammals, and lizards. My goal in pet care of any kind is making sure your pets feel as safe, loved, and happy as possible while you’re away. I’m very comfortable working with reactivity in dogs and will ask all dog owners what their dog’s limits and preferences are regarding common triggers during walks. I also have experience with senior dog and cat care and medication administration. I’m a PhD student with a flexible work schedule during the school year and full daytime availability during the summer. This allows me to accommodate most care requests. The safety and comfort of your pets is my most important priority. I commit to following the “leave no trace” rule when visiting in client’s homes.
“Jolene is awesome, she was well prepared with details about toby. She is a creative person and it was awesome to see her draw Toby! Toby loved her!!”

About: I’ve been caring for other people’s pets for years, so that is how I found myself on Rover! My love for animals isn’t a personality quirk. It’s a core value. I’m vegan, I care deeply about animal welfare, and yes, that absolutely extends to your pets. I’m present in a way that animals seem to pick up on pretty fast. I practice yoga and move with purpose. Pets tend to vibe with that… at least they haven’t complained yet! I’m based in north Seattle and know all the good walk routes, the quiet streets, the spots worth sniffing. I’m also communicative. You will get updates. Photo included, obviously. If you want someone who takes this seriously and also talks to your pet, reach out to me! I work from home, which means your pet isn’t sitting around waiting for someone to show up. I’m already taking breaks to walk around the neighborhood anyway! Adding your amazing dog to that routine is honestly just more rewarding. I have a fenced backyard. I approach all pets with patience and respect for their personal space. I take my walks and pet sitting with great care. I want to get to know your pet’s energy, their triggers, and what makes them happy. I keep leashes secure and pay attention. I’m not going to be doomscrolling while your pet figures their next move.

About: What sets me apart is my 22 years of hands-on, real-life experience caring for dogs as part of my own family. I spent 15 years raising and caring for my childhood Boxer from puppyhood through senior years, which gave me deep experience with training, exercise needs, and age-related care. For the past 8 years, I’ve been a dedicated French Bulldog owner, giving me breed-specific knowledge around brachycephalic breathing considerations, temperature sensitivity, skin care, and routine health monitoring. I’m especially attentive to a dog’s individual needs and behavior, whether that means reinforcing good manners with puppies, providing calm and patient care for senior dogs, or simply making sure every dog feels safe, loved, and understood. I don’t just “watch” dogs—I care for them as if they’re my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine, as I have open availability and intentionally structure my schedule around the needs of the dogs I’m caring for. This allows me to be flexible with walks, feedings, playtime, medication schedules, and extended companionship throughout the day. I enjoy being fully present and attentive, whether that means early mornings, evenings, weekends, or longer stays, ensuring each dog receives consistent care, routine, and attention. I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s routine, personality, and needs, whether in my home or in a client’s home. I closely follow all feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any specific instructions to maintain consistency and reduce stress. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment, ensuring regular walks, playtime, companionship, and light pet-related home care as needed. When caring for pets in my home, I create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment with structured routines, close supervision, and plenty of affection. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own, prioritizing their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
“Could not have been happier with Alma's care of our pets - two big dogs and an old cat! She sent frequent photos and updates, gave ample walks and love, and was VERY conscientious about our home, leaving it cleaner than when she arrived! I swear our dogs wanted to go with her when she left. We will for SURE be hiring her again.”

“Quinn is an excellent house-sitter! They were very communicative and took terrific care of our 13-year-old dog (who is reactive to other animals) and two chickens. Our house was also well cared for over the long holiday weekend. I highly recommend Quinn for any of your petcare needs! Will definitely book again.”

“Adrian was a wonderful companion to Kiska during our trip! He sent great updates and took him on long walks every morning. Kiska is an anxious boy but Adrian had a very gentle energy and handled Kiska really well. Our home was left in great condition. Our other Rover cancelled last minute and Adrian was able to come for a meet and greet right away and is clearly very capable with animals. Would definitely hire Adrian again!”

“Gabrielle took excellent care of our anxious dog and old lady cat (who both take meds daily). It was the longest we've ever been away and when we came back home it was like we'd never the left. Our pets were happy and well taken care of and the house was just how we left it. I highly recommend Gabrielle for pet and/or house sitting.”
“Sofía was great! One of my dogs is quite nervous around new people and Sofia was great with her. She provided regular updates and pictures. My dogs were relaxed and happy when I came home. I would recommend her!”

“Tori, we can’t say thank you enough for how you loved on our animals and cared for our home! To come home to having chores done that you weren’t asked to do was such a huge help after a long weekend away. Our dogs weren’t overly hyper when we got back, which told us that when you were with them you made sure they were well loved, entertained and exercised. Anyone who hires you to care for their pet is lucky to have you in their home. If we need a dog sitter in the future you will be the first person we contact. Thank you endlessly.”

“Julie did such a wonderful job watching after Tony while I was at work all week. Every day she showed such an incredible level of care for my pup that cannot be overstated. I was truly able to be at ease every day knowing that he was so well taken care of. I also appreciated her updates throughout the day as well as her level of communication by making sure Tony’s care plan was constantly attended to. She also respected our home while she was here and kept everything neat and clean. We will definitely be requesting her again in the future!”

“I appreciated Mandy's quick responses (before, during and after the sit), willingness to come over prior to the sit for a meet n' greet with me, a quick orientation to home, kitty and her medication routine (insulin injections). Mandy was at ease and confident with all. The sit went as expected with a daily photo and quick message to reassure me that all was well during my 4 nights away. All was in order and tidy on my return and kitty content.”

“Margaret was the best! Such a sweet person, and you could tell she’s had a lot of experience around animals. She was professional, communicative and on time. And our pup loved her! Would definitely recommend her to everyone. Six stars out of 5. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Karen and Matt are our go-to sitters, whether we’re gone for two days or a full week. They take incredible care of Tuna, and she absolutely adores them. She’s always so excited when they arrive and genuinely sad to see them go, which says everything about how loved and cared for she feels with them. They also take amazing care of our home, always leaving it spotless. On our most recent trip, we ran into unexpected travel issues, and they were incredibly flexible and accommodating. We were so grateful for their kindness and willingness to help during a stressful situation. We trust Karen and Matt completely and couldn’t recommend them more highly. They are truly the best!

TingTing is an amazing cat sitter who takes exceptional care of my cats. She is kind, responsible, and genuinely cares about their well-being. She keeps me updated with photos and messages, which gives me great peace of mind while I'm away. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter.

Emery was amazing. She took such good care of my pups and even my aloof cat was charmed by her and snuggled with her at night. Emery was great at ensuring my senior dog got her medication and dealt wonderfully with my willful and wild youngest dog. Highly recommended if you need a sitter!

Angel took great care of our 2 dogs & 2 birds while we were in Katmai, AK! It was so reassuring to me, as we have a 13 yo Newfy who is declining. Our dogs love him and even my “cage-protective” birds allowed Angel to sing to them and hold them! My birds do NOT usually let anybody hold them. Angel communicated with us throughout our trip often. We returned home to happy and healthy dogs! Without reservation, I highly recommend Angel’s dogsitting services- he is excellent! Nancy
Emma was amazing and took great care of my 60Ibs pittie mix (with some dog reactivity considerations, meds, and enrichment needs) for two weeks! Great to coordinate in advance with, very communicative and on time. While I was away, Emma offered updates and was responsive when I checked in. I came home to a healthy and happy pup and my home in good condition! Also mindful of building / security rules of my building. Emma went above and beyond staying later with my dog over Fourth of July evening. I had peace of mind while Emma was here. Kiska misses Emma already…

Hillary was wonderful! Leaving my dog in a strangers hands last minute is always nerve racking…but Hillary showed kindness, intuitiveness, and an ease that made me feel confident leaving my space and Nova in good hands. When I returned the space was clean, Nova was calm and happy, and Hillary asked great questions / was commutative throughout the stay. So grateful and would absolutely book again!
