Pet care experience

Pet tested, parent approved 🐶🐱

I’m a marketing professional, but animals - especially dogs and cats - have always had my heart. I’m a current pet parent to 2 cats, and have spent over two years fostering 12+ cats of all ages and health needs. I continue to volunteer at the Seattle Animal Shelter, pet sitting for dogs, cats, and birds of all ages and needs. In the past, I have experience working as a vet tech assistant, and a love of learning through zoology and animal science. 🐾

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets by combining trusted best practices from the Seattle Animal Shelter dog and cat care guidelines, while always respecting each owner’s preferences and an individual pet’s routines, boundaries, and comfort level. Before every sit, I ask for a clear document with important details like daily schedules, activity needs, veterinary information, emergency contacts, pet insurance/microchip info, and communication preferences with owners (daily photos, text updates, etc.). I also love doing a meet 'n greet beforehand - it helps build trust, ensures a good connection, which can really ease separation anxiety for both pets and owners.

You really can’t find a better friend for your pet! She’s very good at communicating and clear about any questions that come up. Meagan took great care of my house and my dog. I would highly recommend her.

Meagan is a great and caring pet sitter! Our cat can be picky with sitters but seems to really have taken to her. Our cat has a few quirks and special needs and Meagan has handled those better than anyone we’ve had watch her. Highly recommend!

Meagan always goes above and beyond when caring for our cats. We know they are in the best of hands everytime she comes by!! Wouldn’t recommend anyone else to someone looking for a sitter.

Meagan took great care of our special needs kitty. She was communicative, informed, and sent cute pix of Baz while we were away. We've already booked her for a longer trip.

We can't thank Meagan enough. She goes above and beyond and is trustworthy and kind. Just the right person to care for shy and elder doggies. Highly recommended!

Schedule

Pet care fits easily into my schedule right now - I have ample flexibility throughout the week to work with your needs. Outside of volunteer commitments at the Seattle Animal Shelter, weekdays and weekends both work well for me, and I’m happy to provide care over multiple nights when needed.

When pet sitting a dog, having the right information up front makes all the difference - for safety, comfort, and a smooth experience for everyone. I request this information ahead of time - ideally in a written document - to help ensure consistent care and reduce stress. Any information that allows your pup to stick as closely as possible to their normal routine, and required information in case of any emergencies. A meet and greet before the sit is also incredibly helpful to build trust.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
