About: I have had a yorkie growing up named Daisy! She had a long 16 year life before passing Christmas of 2018. She loved to play with her toys and run around the back yard. I'm looking to care for others pets like I did my own. My fiancé and I adopted our current dog Piper in 2024 she is a 20 pound mixed poodle/ King Charles cavalier and a few other breeds all into one. I would say she is our soul dog. She has brought us so much joy and laughter!! I love being outside with dogs, going on walks and playing with toys. The joy they get when being active brings me happiness. I want to be able to provide those services to people who are in need due to time constraints or other life obligations. Absolutely it does! With my flexible sales schedule I am always around to give my dog Piper the care and love she needs. Which is exactly what your dog will get! Some would say piper (my dog) gets treated like royalty. She is a princess and is cared for like no other. This is exactly how your pet will get taken care of.
“Once again an excellent weekend for Tuukka! Yvette kept me informed every day with specifics on how he was doing. I felt fully comfortable and 100% be using her services again in the future !!”

“Elizabeth took outstanding care of our dog, sending photos and offering lots of time for play and cuddles. Great communication, photos; responsible; easy drop-off. Highly recommend!!”
“Ashley took great care of our husky, Cleo. We got so many pictures and videos which was really appreciated! Ashley was very communicative throughout the stay. We would definitely board Cleo with her again and highly recommend her services to anyone looking for doggie daycare and boarding in the area!”

“Shelby had a great time staying with Karin! Karin provided regular updates and pictures, and took great care of Shelby, I was very satisfied and will book with her again, thank you Karin!!!”

“Yaqi was amazing! She took great care of my dog and kept me updated throughout the stay. I felt very comfortable knowing my dog was in such good hands. Everything went smoothly, and my dog came back happy and well cared for. I truly appreciate her attention and kindness. Highly recommend!”

“Dickson was absolutely wonderful with Charlie! He sent frequent videos and photo updates, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Charlie is 12 years old and diabetic, she stayed on her eating schedule and received her insulin shots on time — Dickson handled everything perfectly and with such care. I felt completely comfortable knowing she was safe, happy, and enjoying time playing in his fenced backyard. You can truly tell he loves animals and treats them like family. This was such a great experience, and I will absolutely have Charlie stay with him any time. Highly recommend Dickson to any friends or family looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!!”

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 14, and they are part of my love language! I've taken care of and have had a wide variety of pets, dog sizes, and different medical needs. Part of my life's calling is to be with animals and give them all the love. We live on a 7-acre farmette, with land to roam and play, and forest as well. We have a barn that houses 23 free range chickens and ducks. These are also my pets who I love dearly. I have 2 cats, a brother and sister names George and Lucy who are total love bugs. My daughter Teagan is almost 6, and has been around animals since she was a baby. I am currently working full time, 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday. I work remotely from my house on Fridays. I am off on Saturday and Sunday all day. We live on a 7-acre farm in a two-story house with privacy. Our house has plenty of room to accommodate different dog sizes. Our acreage also provides plenty of room for dogs to run and play!
“This was our first time our Goldendoodle (80lbs) stayed with her and her dog. They played well and she took great care of him. We appreciate Niratcha sending us daily pictures in the morning and night to see how Kipper was doing. Happy with her and we just rebooked with her. Thank you.”

“Jorge and Susie took wonderful care of my dog. They treated her as if she was their own. I will book them for any future trip and feel secure in knowing my baby will be in good hands ❤️❤️❤️”

“Alicia was the best! I knew from our meet and greet that she was going to be great with Tig and of course she was. I had no worries while we were out of town as she sent updates and photos of our Tig often. I can tell he is going to miss his new hangout and all their love & cuddles. I will absolutely book again if I need to in the future.”

“Elaina and Joseph V. were absolutely amazing with my dog during his stay from July 1 through July 5. They kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear they genuinely cared for him and treated him like part of their own family. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I really appreciated their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail throughout the entire boarding experience. I would absolutely trust them to watch my dog again and highly recommend Elaina and Joseph V. to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitters.”

“I felt that Marble was in good hands and didn’t have to worry about him at all during our trip while he was with Bath. He seemed very happy in the pictures she sent on his walks! Thank you!”

“Dorene and her son Noah are amazing! They took fantastic care of my 6 month old lab puppy! Daily pictures and communication, very flexible, they gave me the confidence and reassurance Penny would be in great hands while having to go out of town for work. Absolutely recommend Dorene. Will definitely rebook in the future!”

“udith was wonderful with Linny! My biggest concern when using Rover is that Linny tends not to eat when he's in a new environment. Judith treated him like he was her own and made sure he was eating properly. Whenever he wasn't interested in food, she spent extra time playing with him to help build up his appetite. It was clear she genuinely cared about his well-being. I would definitely book with Judith again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and attentive sitter.”

“Willow was well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates while I was away. It was nice knowing she was in good hands, especially since she’s still a puppy. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely book with them again.”

“Paul and his family were so loving to my dog and took the best care of him! They seemed to really enjoy having him there, made sure he had the exercise he needed and even enjoyed snuggling with him. He was there for a week and I believe was well cared for. Will be a repeat client.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
