One Dog at a Time, All the Love :)
Hello, our family is so excited to welcome your fur baby into our home! Our two girls love animals (6 and 8) and will shower your pup with plenty of affection, just as my husband and I will. Our yard is fenced in with puppy bars for a secure area to run around and play. I work from home and have the flexibility to care for your dog as if they were my own. We do have a female German Shepherd that we rescued at four months old. She is four years old and on the submissive side, very friendly, and gets along great with other dogs. I have experience with a wide variety of dogs, big and small. I’ve catered to elderly dogs and am comfortable with preparing a variety of food options. We only accept one dog at a time, unless there are two in the family, so your pup gets plenty of one-on-one attention. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or just relaxing in a cozy spot, we’ll treat your dog as part of our family. We can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby. Outstanding! Shalyn and Joe were outstanding! Let me begin by saying that I have a sweet dog who’s good with other dogs and kids, however, she has many special needs. She has severe anxiety during storms, and if she’s home alone, she can get destructive. And unfortunately, she cannot be crated because she will self-harm. I originally chose Shalyn and Joe because Shalyn works from home, and I thought that would be a perfect match, and it was! Of course, there were bad storms when we left, but Shalyn and Joe gave her my vet’s prescribed anxiety meds and held my dog all night while she physically shook for hours. In addition to storm anxiety, my dog also has permanent nerve damage in her back leg from slicing her Achilles tendon in half during a previous storm. Because of the nerve damage, she often licks her bad leg so much, she makes it bleed. I took my dog to the vet right before our trip and she prescribed an antibiotic for her leg, and Shalyn and Joe gave her the medicine every night while we were away. They also wrapped her leg if it started bleeding, and put her cone on to stop her from licking. Like I said, my dog is the sweetest dog in the world, she just has a lot of special needs, and Shalyn and Joe met all those needs! It was so nice to know that Mikita was in good hands while we were gone, they followed all of my vet’s instructions and my advice. Their daughters were so sweet to Mikita and they all treated her like she was a member of the family ❤️ With all my dog’s special needs, I also really like that Shalyn and Joe only take one dog guest at a time, so they can focus on those needs. If your dog has special needs, or is simply looking for a loving home, then I would highly recommend Shalyn and Joe! You can tell when people really love dogs, and they do! It was so relaxing to be on vacation, and know that all my dog’s needs were being cared for. We will definitely be repeat customers 💕 Thanks, Shalyn and Joe!
Thank you so much for taking Maple on such short notice. Five stars are simply not enough to describe the wonderful experience we had. It was comforting to see that Maple had a loving home away from home. She clearly enjoyed playing in the fenced yard with Sadie, and I truly appreciated the frequent communication and photos you shared. It was great to see her receiving so much love and attention. I will definitely be using your services again.
I think my dog River is the luckiest dog. Apart from us, her family, giving her all the love, she also gets more love from Joe and Shalyn, the girls and Sadie! This is River’s repeat stay and she always loves her time with all of them. Wonderful family 😊

We would highly recommend Shalyn and Joe to anyone looking to have their dog looked after. They responded promptly to any concerns we had and we received daily photos and updates on how our Pixie was doing.

I work from home full-time with ample flexibility. This allows me the capability to cater to your fur baby's needs and maintain any schedule or special needs they may have. My husband is home most of the week as well to provide additional support.

They will have free access to our home when they stay with us. Feeding schedules will be followed, and ample play time will be daily. We understand that activity levels vary per pup and will tailor to their needs. Please note that we do not accept Pit Bull mixes at this time, as both my husband and I have had bad experiences with the breed.

While with us, your dog will have plenty of exercise. We have a large fenced-in yard for a safe environment to run and play. The neighborhood also offers numerous sidewalks with a park nearby, allowing your fur baby to explore different scents and scenery. Our 4 year old German Shepard likes to share her toys and play. She gets along great with other dogs and will usually give them kisses. If your dog is a runner, she'll run and chase them all over the yard to help burn off all their extra energy.
