We are a family who love pets and we also have had chickens in the past. We currently have an older dog Charm. She is a rescue dog who is a Shih-Tzu/Maltese mix who gets along with other dogs. We will take great care of your dog(s), so you can enjoy your time away without having to worry. I’ll be able to accommodate you with any special instructions. I do ask that if your pet is boarding with us that they are up to date on all of their vaccines for the safety of both of our pets, potty trained, and does not chew on things. When we have pets in the house someone will always be there. Currently we are available to do Drop-ins visits and walk the dogs weekdays and weekends. We have a fenced yard, but we also take the dogs for walks and the dogs will always be supervised. Jan was absolutely fantastic. I have a very unique pack of working and primitive breed dogs, and they definitely aren't the easiest group to care for. After just one meet-and-greet, Jan understood their personalities and made both me and my dogs feel completely at ease. What really impressed me was that he confidently took them on walks,...something that very few Rover sitters I've worked with have been comfortable doing. He handled each dog's quirks with patience, confidence, and a calm demeanor that my dogs responded to immediately. It's rare to find someone who truly understands working breeds and dogs with unique personalities, but Jan absolutely does. She checked in on our kitten while we were out of town over three days, and did a wonderful job keeping us updated, sharing pictures, etc. She is a great communicator, trustworthy, and very thoughtful in her messages. Gerome's natural ability to commune with animals was present during both drop off and pick up of my cat. I returned to find my selective/discerning sweet pea snuggled up with her pet sitter in a relaxed and trusting pose. She did not want to come back with me!
