About: I am a dog trainer and dog sitter. My love for animals started at a young age. I’ve always had a dog in my life. I enjoy basic and advanced obedience training and walking dogs also. Your dog will enjoy walks and unlimited amount of pets and belly rub. I like to be at home curling up with a good movie with my dogs curled up next to me. About: Medical student who personally has two guinea pigs, two cats, grew up with dogs, and has previously owned many fish. I treat patients in the hospital and you can trust me to be professional and on top of your pet's care. Not many people have experience caring for rodents and fish. About: I've had cats and other small animals since I was 2! I had a dog for all of my childhood and I was her primary care taker. I've been pet sitting for friends and family for many years! And officially employed as a sitter for 3 years! I adore animals and I'll treat yours like my own! I live in a decent sized shop gun with a large fenced in back yard close to a levee and parks for walks I'm an independent esthetician who's studio is only 3 blocks away from home and I work for myself! The his makes accommodations for animals easy peasy! I also have A reliable car so popping in to feed cats/dogs and/or walking dogs multiple times a day is very fesiable I have a small fenced in back yard and live in a safe dog friendly neighborhood I have 2 cats, ones elderly and naps alot the other is young and curious but both tend to stay in their own space away from dogs when we board them! I am an independent esthetician so I set my own schedule making petsitting very easy to fit in as well as working within a 3 block radius of my home! Can put breaks in my day whenever needed! I care for pets in my home as they are my own and work close enough to pop in many times a day making it optimal for any type of pet needs

About: We would love to take care of your dog(s) while you are out. We have many years of experience handling dogs. I grew up having dogs and have had dogs on and off during my adulthood. We are a family who love pets and we also have had chickens in the past. We currently have an older dog Charm. She is a rescue dog who is a Shih-Tzu/Maltese mix who gets along with other dogs. We will take great care of your dog(s), so you can enjoy your time away without having to worry. I’ll be able to accommodate you with any special instructions. It will be my pleasure to have your dog stay over with us. I want to thank you in advance for trusting us, they will be in good hands. My 13 yr old will also be helping me since the earnings will be going towards her college funds. She has experience with dogs since Charm is hers and she has been taking care of her since she was five years old. She has looked after friend and family dogs and she loves and enjoys looking after them. I do ask that if your pet is boarding with us that they are up to date on all of their vaccines for the safety of both of our pets, potty trained, and does not chew on things. When we have pets in the house someone will always be there. Currently we are available to do Drop-ins visits and walk the dogs weekdays and weekends. We have a fenced yard, but we also take the dogs for walks and the dogs will always be supervised. When doing Drop-in Visits in your home and I am big on respecting your space in the same way that I would want someone to respect my space. I like to create an atmosphere of trust with both your furbabies and your home.

About: My family rescued our first dog, April from the local dive bar when I was six years old. According to the vet, April was just two weeks. She had been separated from her mother at birth and hadn’t even opened her eyes yet. My parents worried she'd be too much trouble. I begged to keep her and promised I'd take care of her. April became my sister, my best friend, and my greatest teacher. I fed April from a bottle, taught her how to walk up the stairs, and took her to puppy training classes. April taught me the practice of presence, and the value of unconditional love. Our time spent together makes up some of my most cherished childhood memories. At the age of 13, pet-sitting became my first job. I loved it so much, I didn’t even understand how it could be considered a job. I took care of the animals, and the animals took care of me. In my decade+ of pet-sitting, I’ve worked with a range of breeds, ages, and temperaments. Walking 100lb. pitbulls with fear aggression. Administering medication to seniors. Feeding finicky rescued stray cats. I even fostered and re-homed an abandoned puppy that found me on the beaches of Costa Rica. I can confidently claim that I’ve never once had an animal “reject” me as their caretaker, and I think that says a lot. In the last 6 years, I’ve been living and traveling as a digital nomad. My lifestyle doesn’t currently allow for a pet of my own, so pet-sitting is a blessing that allows me the opportunity to care for pets as if they were my own. I work part-time as a meditation & yoga teacher, and part-time remote as an event organizer. This lifestyle allows me to be very flexible in taking on pet-sitting and house-sitting opportunities. I can build most of my work day around your pets schedule (and I'm more than happy to do so!) I offer long-term and short-term visits and overnight stays to take care of your pets in their own home. I've found that, for most pets, being in the security and routine of their own environment is the best way for them to cope with their owners temporary absence. I make sure to upkeep your pet's sense of "normalcy" to the best of my ability by feeding and walking them at regular intervals, being an active participant in play time (when desired), giving them snuggles (when desired), and just keeping them company! I make sure to upkeep YOUR sense of "normalcy" by respecting your space, keeping it as clean and organized as when I arrive (if not even more so), and following any & all house rules. In addition to overnights, I LOVE to take on daily walks and wellness checks when you're at work or just too busy to do it all on your own!

About: Hello there! My name is Anika and I used to be a pet caregiver on Rover a while ago when I was going through college, but decided to reactivate my account to come back on board! A little bit about myself... I received my Master's Degree from LSU and have been working in my career field for a few years now, but I still very much enjoy spending time with animals and thought that continuing with Rover was a great way to be able to spend time with animals while making an extra income on the side! I am currently working at a local hospital. Therefore, although I am newly back on Rover, I have been with Rover in the past. I am also a go-to foster and volunteer for several local rescue groups, so I have experience with all types of animals (mainly cats and dogs) and welcome all. I also often help train dogs for animal rescue organizations to get them ready for their new loving forever homes. I have also grown up with animals my whole life and my sweet beloved senior dog recently passed away; my "soul dog" as some may say. I had him for a little over 13 amazing years. However, being able to work with and volunteer with animals has really been great, which is why I definitely wanted to continue with Rover again. You can rest assure that when you leave your beloved fur babies with me that they are in great hands. I am a safe and responsible person. I am and always have been an all-around animal-lover. If your dog is a couch potato, that's fine... we can curl up and watch a movie on the couch together with some belly rubs! If your dog is more high-energy, that's fine... we can go for walks, jogs, play fetch in the yard, play with toys and more! The same goes for cats, bunnies and other types of animals; I can meet the pet client where they are at based on their personality. I have over 20 years of experience with animals from both personal and professional experience. Also, for overnight sitting in your home, rates include one 10-15 minute walk in the morning and one 10-15 minute walk in the evening. I work later events that have me showing up around 1:00 PM / 2:30 PM before the event starts til the end of the event around 9:00 PM from August during heavy amounts of events going on til April or May during slower amounts of events going on. • Between April / May til August, I am completely available to do anything you need for Boarding, House-Sitting, and Doggy Day Care because I don't really have anything going on except grocery / prescription runs for my mom and possibly me at another store, and with doctor's appointment for me and my mom. **Availability & Visit Times - Westbank** I offer midday drop-in visits usually between 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM daily. This window lets me give each pet full, unrushed attention for feeding, litter, play, and cuddles. If you need a specific time within that window, just ask!
