Never be bored or alone!
DOG WALKS, HOUSE SITS, AND HOME VISITS, OH MY! You have probably seen me walking a dog or two on the streets of uptown! While in my care your pup will be able to walk as much or as little as he or she wants in our 30-minute window. The poop is always scooped and your neighbors' landscaping is always respected. My furry assistant Elf may accompany me with your approval, but we realize some dogs prefer the solo walk. I try to be flexible, so do not hesitate to contact me if your schedule varies week to week or if you are in dire straits and need a last minute walk. Does your puppy need a mid day (or more) break while you're away? No problem! Puppies can be a lot of work, but I love encouraging and comforting them while we discover the great outdoors and how to dog. Please let me know of any training you are working on so I can be sure to be consistent with him or her. One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to know puppies and young dogs and seeing them grow and mature. Additionally I am available for home visits (drop-ins) for dogs, cats, rabbits, and even birds. I can administer insulin injections, medications, and even act as a human taxi up and down the stairs for the less mobile pets. (Note: The Rover Guarantee only covers dogs and cats) As your house sitter I move in to your home for the duration of your booking - no additional fees for mid day walks! If your pup(s) enjoys the company of other dogs Elf would love to accompany me, but with enough notice I can make other arrangements for him. I service a five mile driving service area from my home in the Lower Garden District. Requests outside this service area will be considered on a case-by-case basis for an additional fee. Clients in the CBD, Warehouse District, and French Quarter are subject to parking fees when applicable or should be prepared to provide parking. About my assistant Elf: Elf has been in the dog sitting business since he was a puppy. As a youngster he enjoyed making new friends, slumber parties, wrestling, playing tug, and snuggling with others. As he's gotten older he has become very walk and fetch focused, but will still play with the youngsters with a little prodding. Elf can be very protective of his smaller friends and quick to judge young, male dogs who are bigger than him. What kind of dog is Elf? Your guess is as good as mine! When adopted he was said to be a dachshund mix. He is definitely long and low, but weighs in at a solid 40 pounds. Elf is not a fan of cats, is very interested in babies, but a little freaked out by small, mobile, loud children.
