Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, medication, litter box cleaning, potty breaks, or just plenty of love and attention, I’m happy to help. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m committed to providing a safe, reliable, and stress-free experience for both you and your pets. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! I have 8 animals and I take care of them everyday. I look forward to taking care of your fur babies!!! I also work at a vet hospital. I have a fenced yard and all of my animals love dogs. I have a very nice spacious home and a couch for the babies to lay.
“Christina is the best! I know that three dogs can intimidate most people but her gentle and understanding attitude put my babies at ease instantly upon meeting. She shared many pictures with me of my babies and you could tell that they were comfortable and happy with her company. I would highly recommend her.”

About: Hi! I’m Kaylee, a student at Loyola University New Orleans, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve had a variety of pets throughout my life, including dogs and cats. I have over 4 years of experience caring for animals and officially began offering pet-sitting services through Rover this summer. As a college student, my availability is based around my class schedule, and I’m available to pet sit whenever I don’t have classes. I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that gives your pet the attention and care they need while you’re away! I offer drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting throughout the New Orleans area. I care for pets of all personalities and make sure their individual routines, feeding instructions, walks, playtime, and other needs are followed closely! As a student at Loyola University New Orleans, I structure my daily routine around pet care visits, walks, and house sitting. My flexible schedule allows me to dedicate specific times throughout the morning, midday, afternoon, and evening for drop-ins and walks. For house sitting, I base myself directly at your home to ensure consistent supervision, evening companionship, and adherence to your pet’s exact routine. When caring for pets in a client's home, my top priority is maintaining their normal environment and daily habits to keep them relaxed and stress-free. I strictly follow all owner instructions, including meal portioning, fresh water refills, walking routes, and medication schedules. I keep living areas clean, secure the home upon entry and exit, and send clear photo and text updates during every visit so you always have full peace of mind.
About: Hey, call me Sunny! I've worked with dogs for several years now! I work at Mid City Animal House and do at-home pet care on the side. I love all animals so much, but I'm very partial to dogs. I love spending time with them and taking plenty of pictures! I have people recommend me very often for pet care to others. I believe in going above and beyond! As previously stated, I work at Mid City Animal House full time, so I do have a bit of a limited schedule. I work from either 6:40am-12pm or 12pm-6pm give or take. But I'm always open to discussing working around these times! I have prior experience with staying at clients homes for extended periods of time. I believe in respecting your space and your animals. I clean up after myself and any messes your pet may make. I respect privacy and any areas of your home you may not want me to enter. I also have experience with administering oral medications for any pets who may need it.

About: I have had pets my whole life. Also, I prefer dogs but I have a couple years of experience helping out with my sister’s cats. I currently work remotely. So, I can be wherever you need me on any given day or time. I don’t normally work on weekends. I live with my girlfriend and her Boston Terrier ‘Haley’. She has a fenced in backyard to run around in and gets to chase around the ball a lot.

About: I have experience with all kinds of animals including horses, goats, and chickens. Dogs are the best. I can't remember a time where I did not have a dog in my life. Originally from TX in the US marines me and my wife have a lovely Australian Shepherd named Gracie who is our best buddy 🙌🏻 we love her so much. We take her for long walks everyday and she eats homemade food. I am looking for a 2nd job, and pet care would be an amazing 2nd job. I can care for the pet on weekends, and once I get off work. My normal work week is Monday-Friday 6am-430pm or 0600 to 1630 Honestly probly depends on the pet, younger dogs especially puppies need more attention than older dogs, and older dogs may have different needs. It's case by case basis, on what each pet needs. I do like to play with the dogs I care for.
About: I am former Vet Tech and Pet Adoption Counselor who loves to provide all animals care. I have over 12 years experience in animal healthcare. I currently work from home. So your pet will have plenty of care and attention. They can be walked and played with and feed at your appointed time. I do not have any pets of my own. So your furry baby will have my un divided attention. I have a pet playpen also.

About: I have some prior pet care experience-such as cleaning messes, feeding, bathing, and handling excrements. Smelly, loud, and nosey felines and canines don’t phase me. I have a soft spot for senior fur babies. I work full time during the week. Weekday availability would vary from week to week. However, I am free to do check-ins and walks on weekend mornings and afternoons. Creating a safe space and building trust among pet and pet owner is my top priority. I am always one to ask questions when needed. I would always handle animals the way their pet parents ask of me- as you know your pet best. Creating a list or writing notes on what is expected is greatly appreciated.
About: I have owned dogs my whole life and have taken care of them personally for 19 years now. I currently own one rescue pup named Maple who is a spunky sweetheart. I've been very close with dogs since I was a child.... "Puppy" was my first spoken word! I have experience dealing with most breeds, shapes, sizes and personalities of dogs, and I've been known to make every dog I meet like me! Although dogs are fun, I know they can be a challenge as well, and I am prepared to deal with most of them. I've cared for dogs with special needs (seizures, food allergies, potty training issues, etc.) and have experience handling rowdiness and stubbornness as well. To me, taking care of your dog is a pleasure, not a task! Rates, preferences and schedule can be flexible depending on the situation. I have a flexible schedule and mostly work from home! I can choose to work from home any day that is needed in order to give your pet the care that they need. I take your dog's safety as seriously as I take my own-- I know how precious our fur babies are!! I can accomodate any specific needs.
About: I have been around all kinds of animals my whole life. Aside from raising and training my own dogs, I helped raise and train service dogs for over three years. These dogs have gone onto incredible careers helping others all over the country! I would love to help you and your furry friend :) I am a recent Tulane graduate! Currently working while I apply to PhD programs. Very flexible with reliable transportation around New Orleans. Located in Irish channel area. I have spent over 10 years caring for animals. In addition to my experience training service dogs, my mother has her own dog walking business which I assist with whenever I am home.
“Bodie and Moon loved the time they spent with Elizabeth. Bodie usually goes on a hunger strike for at least 3 days when we leave, but he was eating after the first day. Elizabeth communicates very well, sends lots of pictures, and gave our furbabies all the love and care they could want. I felt 100% free to enjoy my vacation with no worries about the doggies back home.”

I am a full-time student with flexible hours. I have no weekend school or job commitments, and during the week I’m available for walks, check-ins, etc before and after my classes (typically 10-1pm). I’m happy to discuss specifics with you and find a schedule that works best for your pets, so please feel free to reach out! I have experience with animals that are crate trained and those who are not, and am happy to fulfill whatever roles you need to ensure your pets are kept in their routines while you’re away.
About: I have had several dogs growing up. I had a boxer when I was grown and working full time. A couple named Sharon and Phil that my mom introduced to me, watched my dog for a small fee for me because I worked so much. I do stay busy, but every now and then I have some time that I could take care of a dog. Instead of owning a dog, I would like to help out with someone like I was helped in the past because I know the feeling of needing someone to watch a dog for you when you are busy. I feel like I returning the favor that my friends did for me, but for someone else. I have taken care of family pets while they went on trips or were out of town. I fed the dogs, let them outside, and walked dogs before. I still do work alot. I work Monday through Friday until like 3:30pm. Sometimes I work on Saturdays until like 3:30 as well. But just message me and I will see what I can do possibly when I get off work in the evenings. Bottom line is I like being around and taking care of dogs sometimes. I have some availability, but not full availability. I do have a fenced in yard and may welcome a dog into my house. But I prefer to meet the pet and owners first to decide. It depends on the situation, but I would be interested in sitting at the owners home as well. I would be willing to sit, feed, walk, and/or just take the dog outside to use the bathroom when needed.

About: I have had cats for so many years of my life before having a few dogs and then birds and hamster's added in to our life during the time of having multiple cats. We only have cats now since the year of October 2010 til current times. I'm passionate about working with animals and providing attentive care. I have hands-on experience caring for animals in home settings, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their well-being. Skilled at safely handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments, experienced in cleaning kennels, feeding animals, monitoring their health, able to follow instructions for animal care routines and respond quickly to any issues. I am reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with usually any animal to ensure they are safe and happy, so I think it would make a good fit for your animal to be cared for and looked after. I work at a local arena that is near the French Quarter area. I work in the Housekeeping Department, so my schedule can be pretty flexible because I don't work 5 or more days of the week by a rigid schedule of someone else telling me I have to come to work on. I schedule myself for when I am available to work. I usually only work around 1-4 days a week at best. Sometimes there is no event for one or two weeks because of a certain reason. • I am usually working early in the day by 9:00 AM til the afternoon like 3:00 / 4:00 PM. I work later events that have me showing up around 1:00 PM / 2:30 PM before the event starts til the end of the event around 9:00 PM from August during heavy amounts of events going on til April or May during slower amounts of events going on. • Between April / May til August, I am completely available to do anything you need for Boarding, House-Sitting, and Doggy Day Care because I don't really have anything going on except grocery / prescription runs for my mom and possibly me at another store, and with doctor's appointment for me and my mom. **Availability & Visit Times - Westbank** I offer midday drop-in visits usually between 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM daily. This window lets me give each pet full, unrushed attention for feeding, litter, play, and cuddles. If you need a specific time within that window, just ask! I’ll do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine. Serving Algiers to Westwego. $10 off your first booking 🐾 The only days I couldn't be available will be three days in usually July when I go out of town to Houma, LA for the days I will have blocked off on here as unavailable. • Once the basketball 🏀 season ends, I don't work again because it slows up very, very much until August once again. I use whatever little bit of money I saved during that time to focus on me and other things. Taking on taking care of other people's pets could be something I could consider doing on days and periods that I ain't working for my other job. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
