About: I have had several dogs growing up. I had a boxer when I was grown and working full time. A couple named Sharon and Phil that my mom introduced to me, watched my dog for a small fee for me because I worked so much. I do stay busy, but every now and then I have some time that I could take care of a dog. Instead of owning a dog, I would like to help out with someone like I was helped in the past because I know the feeling of needing someone to watch a dog for you when you are busy. I feel like I returning the favor that my friends did for me, but for someone else. I have taken care of family pets while they went on trips or were out of town. I fed the dogs, let them outside, and walked dogs before. I still do work alot. I work Monday through Friday until like 3:30pm. Sometimes I work on Saturdays until like 3:30 as well. But just message me and I will see what I can do possibly when I get off work in the evenings. Bottom line is I like being around and taking care of dogs sometimes. I have some availability, but not full availability. I do have a fenced in yard and may welcome a dog into my house. But I prefer to meet the pet and owners first to decide. It depends on the situation, but I would be interested in sitting at the owners home as well. I would be willing to sit, feed, walk, and/or just take the dog outside to use the bathroom when needed.

About: I have volunteered for Zeus's Rescues walking dogs for three years. I previously owned two shetland sheepdogs for several years! There is nothing, absolutely nothing, in this world that is better than spoiling a dog or having extended playtime with a dog or pet. About: I adopted my traveling friend's cat, Zara, for a year and a half before my friend moved back home during lockdown. Zara and I moved a few times in New Orleans, but she adjusted to our home perfectly once we were settled. She snuggled me everyday and was patient with me while I worked in the service industry. I have also cared for ducks, chickens, two older pigs, and a parrot while one of my friends left the city (New Orleans) for her birthday vacation. During this same week, I cared for my disabled friend's blind cat, shrimp tank, goldfish, and two neighborhood cats she tends to. Even though these friends lived on opposite parts of the city, I split my time snuggling with the furry pets and attended to all pets who had medication or special needs. So I'm an empty nester looking to love on your pets until I'm ready to get one of my own again. I've cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities and even some special needs. Jan was absolutely fantastic. I have a very unique pack of working and primitive breed dogs, and they definitely aren't the easiest group to care for. After just one meet-and-greet, Jan understood their personalities and made both me and my dogs feel completely at ease. What really impressed me was that he confidently took them on walks,...something that very few Rover sitters I've worked with have been comfortable doing. He handled each dog's quirks with patience, confidence, and a calm demeanor that my dogs responded to immediately. It's rare to find someone who truly understands working breeds and dogs with unique personalities, but Jan absolutely does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, especially if you have high-energy, independent, or quirky dogs that need someone experienced and confident. I'll definitely be booking with him again.
