About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: I’ve taken care of 2 Belgian Malinois for 5 years where I’ve had to administer medication, train, switch up diet planning, and do basic grooming. I currently own a betta fish and red eared slider turtle due to renting restrictions. I currently work part time at 2 different jobs, however I can make my own schedule at both. I’m also a full time RN student, but we do have summer breaks. My schedule does fluctuate, however I am usually available consistently early mornings and in the evening time every day. My schedule will reflect when I am available. I’ve worked with multiple high maintenance that require lots of activity throughout the day, so my check ins are more in depth with feeding, potty time, and play time. I also understand boundaries, and rituals, as I’ve spent lots of time with pets of different ages and activity levels.

About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs starting at age 8 with 4 Dobermans. I’ve always had a fur baby in my home and trained them myself. From a young age, I’m very comfortable with giving anyone’s pet the love and affection they deserve in moments when your schedule gets the best of you! Before I moved into my new apartment, I was up in the morning for my “Doggie and Me” walks. After class in the afternoon to feed and exercise her again, as well as nighttime potty time. I’m very flexible with my schedule meaning I’ll try my hardest to be there for your pet when you need it most. I no longer have a crate in my home or a fenced yard, however I’m happy to give your pet free range in my home with leased walks around the Uptown Neighborhood. Im comfortable with drop-in visits as well if your fur baby feels best in the comfort of their own home.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 6 years old. I currently have 3 dogs, a cat, and a chinchilla in my family that I care for. I absolutely adore all animals. I work for a nature institute and have a lot of experience meeting the needs of and caring for a variety of animals. I can care for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, and birds. I work full time, Monday through Friday. I am available for drop in visits and day care after 5:30 on weekdays. I am available most weekends at any time. I have 2 housemates that love dogs and cats. About: I've had cats and other small animals since I was 2! I had a dog for all of my childhood and I was her primary care taker. I've been pet sitting for friends and family for many years! And officially employed as a sitter for 3 years! I adore animals and I'll treat yours like my own! I live in a decent sized shop gun with a large fenced in back yard close to a levee and parks for walks I'm an independent esthetician who's studio is only 3 blocks away from home and I work for myself! The his makes accommodations for animals easy peasy! I also have A reliable car so popping in to feed cats/dogs and/or walking dogs multiple times a day is very fesiable I have a small fenced in back yard and live in a safe dog friendly neighborhood I have 2 cats, ones elderly and naps alot the other is young and curious but both tend to stay in their own space away from dogs when we board them! I am an independent esthetician so I set my own schedule making petsitting very easy to fit in as well as working within a 3 block radius of my home! Can put breaks in my day whenever needed! I care for pets in my home as they are my own and work close enough to pop in many times a day making it optimal for any type of pet needs

About: My family rescued our first dog, April from the local dive bar when I was six years old. According to the vet, April was just two weeks. She had been separated from her mother at birth and hadn’t even opened her eyes yet. My parents worried she'd be too much trouble. I begged to keep her and promised I'd take care of her. April became my sister, my best friend, and my greatest teacher. I fed April from a bottle, taught her how to walk up the stairs, and took her to puppy training classes. April taught me the practice of presence, and the value of unconditional love. Our time spent together makes up some of my most cherished childhood memories. At the age of 13, pet-sitting became my first job. I loved it so much, I didn’t even understand how it could be considered a job. I took care of the animals, and the animals took care of me. In my decade+ of pet-sitting, I’ve worked with a range of breeds, ages, and temperaments. Walking 100lb. pitbulls with fear aggression. Administering medication to seniors. Feeding finicky rescued stray cats. I even fostered and re-homed an abandoned puppy that found me on the beaches of Costa Rica. I can confidently claim that I’ve never once had an animal “reject” me as their caretaker, and I think that says a lot. In the last 6 years, I’ve been living and traveling as a digital nomad. My lifestyle doesn’t currently allow for a pet of my own, so pet-sitting is a blessing that allows me the opportunity to care for pets as if they were my own. I work part-time as a meditation & yoga teacher, and part-time remote as an event organizer. This lifestyle allows me to be very flexible in taking on pet-sitting and house-sitting opportunities. I can build most of my work day around your pets schedule (and I'm more than happy to do so!) I offer long-term and short-term visits and overnight stays to take care of your pets in their own home. I've found that, for most pets, being in the security and routine of their own environment is the best way for them to cope with their owners temporary absence. I make sure to upkeep your pet's sense of "normalcy" to the best of my ability by feeding and walking them at regular intervals, being an active participant in play time (when desired), giving them snuggles (when desired), and just keeping them company! I make sure to upkeep YOUR sense of "normalcy" by respecting your space, keeping it as clean and organized as when I arrive (if not even more so), and following any & all house rules. In addition to overnights, I LOVE to take on daily walks and wellness checks when you're at work or just too busy to do it all on your own!

About: I have had cats for so many years of my life before having a few dogs and then birds and hamster's added in to our life during the time of having multiple cats. We only have cats now since the year of October 2010 til current times. I'm passionate about working with animals and providing attentive care. I have hands-on experience caring for animals in home settings, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their well-being. I work later events that have me showing up around 1:00 PM / 2:30 PM before the event starts til the end of the event around 9:00 PM from August during heavy amounts of events going on til April or May during slower amounts of events going on. • Between April / May til August, I am completely available to do anything you need for Boarding, House-Sitting, and Doggy Day Care because I don't really have anything going on except grocery / prescription runs for my mom and possibly me at another store, and with doctor's appointment for me and my mom. **Availability & Visit Times - Westbank** I offer midday drop-in visits usually between 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM daily. This window lets me give each pet full, unrushed attention for feeding, litter, play, and cuddles. If you need a specific time within that window, just ask!
