About: Mine was a dog family. My parents showed Chow Chows and Bichon Frisés at dog shows around the country with me in tow as a junior handler grooming, training, and caring for our dogs. In college, rather than wait tables, I worked as a kennel assistant and then as a veterinarian assistant during post-grad, spending weekends caring for medical boarders, administering meds and keeping lonely, isolated dogs company. I’m a deeply attached and passionate rescue advocate and animal-lover. My pets have all been mostly large, lovable mixed-breed dogs and second-chance stories like Betsey. Professionally, I have 20+ years of experience as a copywriter and creative strategist. Before starting Betsey & Julie Walk Dogs, I spent the past year as a Dog Handler at Pawlins Day Care — under the tutelage of all kinds of dogs. I’m a freelance writer and I work from home. I share this home with Betsey, an incredibly sweet five-year-old Labrador Retriever. I’m available and actively involved in your dog’s enrichment and overall experience. I’m active and attentive. Betsey and I are affectionate and accommodating. We love walks, parks, toys, treats, and cuddling. We think your dog will love spending time with us.

About: I have volunteered for Zeus's Rescues walking dogs for three years. I previously owned two shetland sheepdogs for several years! There is nothing, absolutely nothing, in this world that is better than spoiling a dog or having extended playtime with a dog or pet. I am always reachable, overly communicative, and reliable in an emergency. My schedule is very open right now and I expect to be working part time soon. I have a flexible school schedule and would love to spend my extra time making sure your dogs and cats are safe, well cared for, and having fun while you’re away! I am a full-time student with flexible hours. I have no weekend school or job commitments, and during the week I’m available for walks, check-ins, etc before and after my classes (typically 10-1pm). About: I have had several dogs growing up. I had a boxer when I was grown and working full time. A couple named Sharon and Phil that my mom introduced to me, watched my dog for a small fee for me because I worked so much. I do stay busy, but every now and then I have some time that I could take care of a dog. Instead of owning a dog, I would like to help out with someone like I was helped in the past because I know the feeling of needing someone to watch a dog for you when you are busy. I feel like I returning the favor that my friends did for me, but for someone else. I have taken care of family pets while they went on trips or were out of town. I fed the dogs, let them outside, and walked dogs before. I still do work alot. I work Monday through Friday until like 3:30pm. Sometimes I work on Saturdays until like 3:30 as well. But just message me and I will see what I can do possibly when I get off work in the evenings. Bottom line is I like being around and taking care of dogs sometimes. I have some availability, but not full availability. I do have a fenced in yard and may welcome a dog into my house. But I prefer to meet the pet and owners first to decide. It depends on the situation, but I would be interested in sitting at the owners home as well. I would be willing to sit, feed, walk, and/or just take the dog outside to use the bathroom when needed.

About: I will talk and sing with animals. Animals are the best judge of character so I make sure I’m always paying attention to their needs and energy. I know when to play and I know when to be calm for them. I have a day job in mid city, but I do have hour lunch breaks. It’s very centrally located. I also am a night owl so I am available most nights. I live in the bywater area so I don’t mind traveling to where I need to go. If it is a client’s home. I stick to the rules and requests that are made for me. I enjoy walking animals or playing in one’s backyard with them.

I also have A reliable car so popping in to feed cats/dogs and/or walking dogs multiple times a day is very fesiable I have a small fenced in back yard and live in a safe dog friendly neighborhood I have 2 cats, ones elderly and naps alot the other is young and curious but both tend to stay in their own space away from dogs when we board them! I am an independent esthetician so I set my own schedule making petsitting very easy to fit in as well as working within a 3 block radius of my home! Can put breaks in my day whenever needed! I care for pets in my home as they are my own and work close enough to pop in many times a day making it optimal for any type of pet needs

About: I’ve had my own dog since I was 4 years old. I have my old man Alpha(14) left, the one that has been with me through my 20s, if you know you know. I have about 6 years of pet sitting experience, and in that that I have learned so much. Every day and every new client is an opportunity to learn, but I can say, I have dealt with some crazy scenarios to say the least. Having a pet is truly like having a child and everyone deserves a peace of mind. I hold myself to such a high standard because I know what it is to be a true pet parent. I am a server so during the summer things slow down a lot, allowing me to have a very open schedule. Even during the busy season, my schedule remains flexible, especially in the earlier parts of the day. I try to base my schedule around the pets to the best of my ability, all further details can be discussed in a consultation. I have criteria that a dog has to check to ensure it will be safe and comfortable in my home before we even get into anything else. Dogs must be house trained, leash trained, and always have a collar with their information on it. This alone, makes the experience more calm for owners and the sitter. My yard is fenced in and during the summer someone is almost always home. I do prefer clients home, just because I rent and when I initially started pet sitting it was for dogs who could not be boarded. I had a reactive dog and reactive owners know the work and stress that can come with that. I now have a senior dog who I could not want to board. In clients homes, I really just get the run down of their schedule and try to keep them on it to the best of my ability!
