“Celeste was so sweet! We felt very comfortable having her watch our cat while we were out of town. She was super accommodating and we loved the photos that she sent us. We will definitely book with Celeste again.”

“Ethan is such caring and attentive pet sitter. He really went above and beyond during his time with Penny and really made me feel at ease during his visit. We will definitely be booking again and recommending to others!”

“Ashely was an absolute rockstar sitter. We looked forward to getting our drop in cards for our 2 boys. The boys looked so comfortable and happy in her pictures she sent us and we knew they were in great hands! We found our forever-sitter!”

“we love lindsey! she takes care of my fur babies so kindly. she sends pictures so you can see your little one is loving life which makes my day to see. i’d say book her up for everything, but not too much because margaritas and peaches need her attention and love just as well! 🤗”

“Lydia was awesome, she cared for our senior dog Bella. She sent detailed communication about her drop in with Bella and made my husband and I feel at ease when we were gone. We will continue to use Lydia’s services, 5 stars!”

“We can't say enough good things about Nycole. Our diabetic, kidney-compromised, 15 year old cat, Wylean, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, has been on a feeding tube since early November with a whole litany of medications. Nycole, a skilled and longterm vet tech, was able to give truly incredible, exhaustive care to Wylean for days, both during this latest stay to see my parents (my dad was and still is in the hospital for a broken hip) and during Christmas (to see my mother-in-law in hospice). Her three times a day updates were like something a seasoned vet would make, and Wylean was markedly better when we returned than when we left. She has gained the better part of a pound over the last month, and I credit Nycole for at least part of that. We will always be grateful. If we could leave one hundred stars, we would. A combination of empathy, high skill, talent, and an obvious, deep love for animals makes Nycole the best. Anyone hiring her is lucky, and we only hope we can hire her again for future trips. Thank you thank you thank you, Nycole!”
“Elise is great - She willingly came by to meet Maggie in advance of the drop-in visit, was very communicative, and clearly loves dogs :) Will definitely be using her on a regular basis.”

“Deana does an excellent job entertaining and enriching on her drop in visits. She is very thorough when following care instructions and in her summaries of her visits!”

About: I was the go-to pet sitter in my hometown! I have recently moved to NOLA, and I’m hoping to meet and care for some awesome animals. I have been pet sitting since I was 12 and I have had my own for my whole life. I’m currently working part time as a cashier and substituting at a day care. Due to this, most of my days are pretty free. On working days I’m able to stop by before and after my shifts. To care for a pet in the clients home, I make sure that the animal feels safe and comfortable while the owner is away. I like to let the pet stay in a spot it is comfortable in and just sit with them for a little bit to make sure they trust and feel safe with me. I also prioritize keeping the home nice and neat and looking as good as you left it ! I’m always down to cuddle a furry friend.
“Natalie is a great per sitter! We were able to count on her during our travels away from home. She did a great job taking care of our cat and keeping us informed through messages and photos.”

“Jordan was amazing! She took great care of our dog and kept me updated with photos and messages. I felt completely at ease while I was away. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Liz was a true godsend! I travelled out of state for a month & needed drop-in care for my 4 year old cat. Liz did a stellar job! She was extremely communicative on her visits, sent photos each day with status reports on Ashling's mood & general well being. Liz performed all requested tasks extraordinarily well. Additionally, her calm demeanor gave me great comfort during this new-to-me process of arranging for pet care via an app. I will 100% reach out to Liz the next time Ashling & I need Rover App services! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”

About: Foster dog mom and dog sitter. Recently lost my beagle and miss pup time. I treat my friend’s dogs like my own and they actually encouraged me to start a profile. I like walking and don’t mind slow sniffers. I’m aware of squirrels and cats in my neighborhood and avoid them when necessary. I work full time but have availability evenings and weekends. Looking forward to long walks, tails wagging while sniffing and again meeting daily step goals. I have a small backyard and shotgun house which I own. I can crate if necessary but if your fur baby is trustworthy, I’m happy to let him or her free range guard my house during the day. The window facing the street is typically pretty entertaining. I got rid of my dog camera when Maggie passed away but may set an iPad up, again. Meet n Greets prior to a stay is a must, my foster dog is dog-shy at first but loves people.

About: I have owned many dogs of different sizes, ages, and breeds. I have a lot of experience with miniature dachshunds, but I have also cared for many rescued dogs of different breeds and sizes. I also have multiple years of experience with senior dog care. I have been a trusted dog sitter off and on for friends and family over the last decade. I am an Emergency Room Nurse. I currently work part-time, which looks like one shift per week. I am free most days of the week. I am a single female with no kids. I have one dog of my own. I have personally cared for small and large dogs as well as dogs that live only outdoors or only indoors. I understand that each pet has different needs, and every home looks different. I am happy to care for any pet as their owner desires.
“Eliza is the best sitter I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She offered a Meet & Greet prior to my trip to make sure everyone was comfortable, and was a thorough communicator throughout the booking. My dog stepped on a stinging caterpillar and she picked her up and carried her! She also made an impromptu run to the vet for us and was very diligent with updates and contacting everyone involved. My dog seems genuinely happy and safe with her which means the most to me.”

“Sarah was awesome! She did drop in visits for our 3 cats. One of which is very shy, another very friendly and the baby very feisty! The boys like to be outside and they both came right to her every time! Even my shy girl came out and was sociable with Sarah! Sarah took photos and sent updates during every visit and went the extra mile to wash food dishes when they were thru eating! Highly recommend Sarah to care for your pet!”

It was a wonderful experience having Karen walk my dog. She was great and trustworthy.she sent me pictures and videos on their walk which I was so happy to see. She was patient and spent extra time with my dog so he was comfortable since it was their first time. Will definitely be using her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
