About: I started dog-sitting in college. I've taken care of blind senior dogs, puppies, adult dogs, not to mention guinea pigs, chinchillas, cats, turtles...the list goes on!! I work from home, so I can take my laptop anywhere! I do have a strict work schedule, but it doesn't matter where I am. I treat my pets like they're my kids, so your pets would be like my nieces and nephews...lots of fun but I'll give 'em back!! When dog-sitting in your home, I try to leave everything just as you left it.

“It can be hard to find sitters willing to help with challenging dogs, and I have a very sweet pup who, unfortunately, has some separation anxiety that means she can’t be left home alone at this point. Julia agreed to watch her for some daycare while my husband and I attended a family birthday party, and she also was great about setting up a Meet and Greet about a week beforehand so that Sable could be introduced to Julia and her own pups. Julia sent pictures and updates while we were away, and I appreciated her honesty when I asked how Sable did. It seems as though Sable was only mildly embarrassing and didn’t put Julia through too much hassle, so I’m very grateful to have someone trustworthy and kind to leave my pup with! Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have spent the past 12 years raising and caring for dogs of my own. I currently have two dogs: Wrigley, an 8-year-old Aussie, and Nova, a 6-year-old rescue Aussie/Husky mix who is blind and requires medications multiple times a day. Caring for Nova has given me hands-on experience with special-needs dogs, medication schedules, mobility limitations, and the patience and attention they require. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, and needs, and I treat every dog like an individual. Whether your pup needs an energetic walk, some extra attention, a consistent routine, or medication, I’m happy to provide dependable, loving care. I’m currently a surgery resident taking a research year (remotely) which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week, with flexibility to accommodate different schedules and routines. I’m happy to work around your dog’s normal feeding, walking, medication, and rest schedule, and I can provide consistent care rather than rushing in and out. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. I take safety and trust seriously and will follow your instructions carefully, including feeding routines, medications, walks, and any house or pet-specific guidelines. My experience caring for Nova, a blind dog who needs medication multiple times a day, has taught me to be attentive to details and proactive about potential safety concerns. I’m comfortable working with dogs who need extra patience, structure, or special accommodations. I’ll treat your home with respect, communicate clearly, and make sure your dog receives the same consistency and care I would want for my own pets.
“Elizabeth was so sweet!! She made sure Moose was safe and gave him all the time he wanted to explore! He was only there for a short time but I would trust Elizabeth with him for much longer! She was a great find!”

“Our experience with Missy has been fantastic. She took the time to get to know Benji thoroughly during our meet and greet. On the day of daycare, she sent me text and photo updates throughout the day and I knew Benji was in great hands. When I picked him up in the evening, I could tell that he had a fantastic time that day!”

“Katherine and Ethan were extremely responsive, kind, and flexible when we left our Siberian Husky, Charlie, with them for doggie daycare. Their dogs, Gus and Brady, wore Charlie out, and Charlie is psyched to spend more time with all of them.”

“She was great! My dog needed a sitter for the day and she had no problems at all Cheyanne sent update pictures, had friends to play with, and was super happy way dropping off and picking up! Will definitely be returning!”

“Olivia has watched my young, energetic heeler puppy several times and is great! He’s had some joint issues and I really appreciated her keeping a close eye on him and being very communicative about how he’s doing. He’s always excited to see her and seems very happy being there. She has a nice outdoor area for dogs to play and seems genuinely excited to interact with them. I’d definitely recommend her for anyone needing someone to watch their pup.”

“Brittany did great with our 3 month old puppy! She was very patient with her and even taught her a new trick. Her dog, Jerry, was great with our puppy and we were glad she had another dog friend. We would absolutely use Brittany again in the future!”

“Thanks for watching my two guys while we attended graduation. The pictures you sent were very helpful and showed that they were having fun. Definitely appreciate it.”

“I just moved to New Orleans and work very long hours. I won’t leave my dog alone for extended periods and I’m so grateful I found Ellen. Waylon fit in so well with her pups and absolutely loved his day with Ellen and her crew. I loved all the updates I got from Ellen throughout the day; I knew my pup was in good hands and was treated just like one of her own. Waylon has been passed out on the couch since we’ve gotten back from Ellen’s. I would not hesitate to go back and use her services again, and I highly recommend her to anyone in the area to look after your fur babies.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and they’ve always been my favorite kind of company. I’m patient and keep things calm and low-key. I usually watch just one dog at a time, so you can rest assured that I will treat your dog as if they were my own. Since I work remotely, your dog won’t be left alone much and will get attention throughout the day. I make sure to follow whatever routine helps your dog feel most comfortable. Happy to send you photos and updates throughout the day as well. I’m flexible with pickup and drop off times. I will be with your pup all day, and they’ll get plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine. If they’re a high energy dog, they’ll get long walks. If they’re a senior or low energy, I’ll take them on shorter walks or just let them sniff in the yard.
“Alyssa is amazing! HIGHLY recommend. She took in my doggie for day care services somewhat last minute and made my rescue/anxious dog feel so comfortable and loved. She was super communicative throughout the day and always made me know my dog was being take of.”

About: I have welcomed dogs into my family for the past 25 years living in New Orleans, and have loved caring for them as they have certainly cared for me too! I work from home most days of the week and am rarely gone for more than a few hours for in-person meetings. I provide lots of walks along the greenway and time in my fenced yard too. I have toys for stimulation such as puzzles and can play hide and seek with toys, treats, and me! I am happy to continue implementing your schedule and use your key words and phrases to maintain training while your pup is with me. I also enjoy taking my dog Conor to City Bark where he plays with other dogs and gets a nice bath. I am happy to bring your dog there too if they are able to go. I work from home and occasionally take meetings out of my house. Those usually are not more than a few hours. Once a week I go into my office from 8-4 but come home at lunch to walk my dog Conor. I have three boys that are in school who live with me every other week. I do a school drop off and pick up every other week for one of them around 7:15 am and again around 3:00 pm. I keep my dog on a predictable schedule of feeding and walks and provide toys for stimulation. I always keep fresh water available both inside and outside so that they are not dehydrated. I am divorced and have my sons every other week. They are in middle and high school and are confident and comfortable around dogs. However, your dog will be cared for by me. Although they will likely want to play with your dog too!

About: My family has had at least one dog in our house since I was born. Everybody in my family has dogs. I have a few family members that rely on me to help them with their dogs when they need it. Everyone in my family treats their pets like they are humans and I do just the same! I am currently in between jobs so I’m available pretty much whenever. I do have my own dog at home so I prefer to not stay somewhere for a long, extended period of time. I am pretty flexible with that though so just ask me and I’ll let you know if it’s doable! I have a fenced in yard. I have a 14 year old rescue that just mainly stays to herself. There is a 1 year old Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix now living here as well, under the care of someone else that’s not me, however she is very rambunctious with other dogs. I do not mind walking them around the neighborhood. In my family, we treat our dogs like they are humans and they are like our children!

About: Your Pet is My Priority 🐕🦺🦮🐈! 💖More info about your PAWtential Pet Caregiver 💖 I served as a Project Coordinator with Mobilization at Xavier, where I led volunteer initiatives with the Louisiana SPCA and Take Paws Rescue. In that role, I organized and guided fellow volunteers while helping cultivate a culture of compassionate service toward animals. I worked with dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and medical needs. My experience includes walking, feeding, bathing, grooming, providing enrichment, caring for quarantined puppies who still needed socialization, supporting nursing mothers and their litters, and spending time with animals recovering from trauma, blindness, injuries, gunshot wounds, and separation anxiety. I’ve also helped reunite lost dogs with their families and connect stray or abandoned animals with safe, loving homes. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routines, body language, and personalities to help them feel comfortable and secure. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, I’ll care for them with patience, reliability, and the same attention I would give my own. My schedule is flexible, and pet care is currently one of my primary commitments. I’m available most afternoons, evenings, and overnight, making it easy to maintain your pet’s routine and provide consistent care. I understand how important reliability is, so I communicate clearly, arrive on time, and make every effort to accommodate each family’s scheduling needs. Sundays are generally reserved for personal time, but I’m happy to discuss extended stays or special circumstances when needed. I understand that inviting someone into your home requires a great deal of trust, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I treat every home with the same respect I would expect someone to show in my own. I carefully follow all care instructions, maintain your pet’s normal routine, ensure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, clean up after myself and your pet, and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I also appreciate clear communication before each booking. I encourage pet parents to share any household routines, preferences, or specific house rules ahead of time so I can respect your home, meet your expectations, and provide the best care possible. I never want to make assumptions when a simple conversation can ensure we’re on the same page. Every animal is different, so I pay close attention to body language and behavior, allowing pets to become comfortable at their own pace while always prioritizing their safety.
