About: I have always had a passion for working with animals. I’m currently a grad student at Tulane studying animal behavior. Worked in many positions as an animal caretaker and have experience in trading grooming and a variety of different pet care from dogs and cats to exotic animals. I also have specialty experience with elderly pets and working breed dogs. I look forward to meeting your fur baby and treating them like one of my own! I am in school during the afternoons, but other than that, have a full available schedule to have animals both in my home, or yours. I offer a very flexible experience tailored to your pet and their needs. My home is all puppy proofed and I have yard and near by large park for plenty of exercise. I am set up for crate trained and not crates trained pups and can stick to any regular schedule you need.

“Kenneth watched my dog nova for a day and overnight when I went to a Mardi Gras parade and I can’t be more pleased. First off it was last minute and during Mardi Gras nonetheless so it was very challenging to find someone, Kenneth made it easy and responded to my request almost immediately. I was able to drop nova off and felt like I left her in good hands. Kenneth sent me lots of videos and photos during his time with nova which was also super appreciated. And finally when I was an hour late picking her up because I lost my keys and had to wait on a locksmith, he didn’t mind. About: Growing up, my favorite place in the entire world was my grandparents' farm, where they trained Hungarian hunting dogs to compete in gun dog competitions and kennel club shows. (They've even had a pup win the Sporting Group title at the Westminster Dog Show!) There was absolutely nothing better as a kid than running free in the paddock with 10 dogs zooming all around, living out their puppiest dreams. Plus, watching their dogs bring home blue ribbons and trophies, I grew a deep appreciation for how intelligent and hard-working our canine companions can be, and how important it is to listen to and observe what they are telling us through body language, verbal cues, and other dog behavior that helps us understand each other. Although our dogs at home were never quite as well-trained as my grandparents' dogs, we always had two of our own to love and play with after their professional careers were over. Today I am a proud dog mom to a Husky, Catahoula, Pitty mutt! I would love to spend a long weekend with your pup, giving us plenty of time for adventures. We will play fetch or tug, go for long walks, and do lots of snuggling! My most highly valued priorities are safety, transparency, and strong communication! While staying hydrated and fed are the bare minimum, I also want every pet to get to play every day!

Our dog can be anxious around other dogs and has had some issues in the past, so we usually look for someone who has no animals of their own and only takes one client at a time. Being a last minute booking, there really wasn't anyone else available so we took a chance with Stella knowing she has a cat and we were unsure of how Obi would do with that. I was honest with Stella about Obi's past and uncertainty about how he would react to a cat, so we arranged a meet up to see how the animals would do. After meeting her and her cat, we both felt comfortable to move forward with the booking. During the the 3 days we were gone, Stella was super responsive and sent regular updates including photos. Although our dog and her cat did not end up being couch cuddlers, they kept a respectful distance and Stella was very observant and responsible, making sure to supervise them and keep everyone happy and safely apart. We would definitely use Stella again! We were able to enjoy our family getaway and not worry about our fur baby. Thank you Stella!
