“This was my first time ever leaving my dog with a sitter and it couldn't have been a better experience. Serena and AJ were very communicative and responsible. Received daily updates and pictures of Remi which really put my mind at ease. Highly recommend!”

“My girls were happy and immediately comfortable with Elena! She sent photos and updates, and when I ran into unexpected car trouble she was able to drop them off to me last minute. I would absolutely book with her again!”

“Jas was just perfect for my Percy. She took great care of my Percy like she was her own. My dog felt very much at home with Jas and that’s what makes it so nice and special”

“I would absolutely book with Stacy again! He was seriously such a blessing over the Hogs for the Cause weekend. Knowing that Marvel was safe and in good hands with him made it so much easier to stay out there and raise money. He sent updates of my girl playing with the other babies and even the cutest professional photos!! 6372852/10 I would definitely recommend him to everyone.”

“WOW! What a great stay my maizy had! The pictures I got I will save for a lifetime. Filled with so many activates and great communication the entire time. I would highly recommend!!”

“Ms. Etta is always great with Bronx. He loves going and she loves having him. I never have to worry about my boy when he’s with Ms. Etta. Her communication skills are top tier and she literally will text me about ANY and EVERYTHING this happens about my boy, which always puts me at ease. We will use her above anybody!”

“Nicole is amazing. My dog is a handful to care for - he is needy, always wants to play, and barks a lot. She was patient with him and played with him. I accidentally did not pack him enough dog food and she even shared some of her own dog’s food with him. I also asked for more pictures since I was on a long trip and she did so immediately.”

“Blair was great with my 2 little ones, and Cody was really happy and friendly too. She updated me with pictures and even let them sleep on her bed. She followed their special feeding instructions to the detail. My babies were not stressed out at all and seemed at ease when I picked them up. Thanks so much, til next time!”
“Melissa is the best! She gets five stars and we will definitely board with her again! From our first call, to the meet and greet, she took the time to really get to know us and our dogs needs and made the whole process easy . Our dogs loved her immediately. She has a big house, a big yard, and took them on regular walks. We got daily photos and updates and her communication was prompt, responsive, and accommodating. Melissa is a gem!”

“Jessica was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! This was my first time ever doing anything like this and while i was initially nervous. Jessica QUICKLY eased my anxiousness! I received very detailed updates and photos. Maxwell truly enjoyed his time can’t wait for next visit!!!”

“Lynn did a great job taking care of Tupelo. It was nice that Tupelo was the only dog with Lynn. She has a nice fenced yard and she was very responsive and sent photos every day. Tupelo seems very comfortable and did not have any issues with her food or medicine, which will sometimes happen when we are away. We would highly recommend Lynn!”

“Elizabeth is an amazing sitter! She had great communication and was very flexible. I got photos and updates during my dog’s stay with her and I could tell she was having fun and feeling right at home. Elizabeth even offers drop off and pick up, which was a life saver during the busy work days I had ahead of traveling. I highly recommend Elizabeth for your fur baby’s care. Thank you!!”
“Brittany kept me updated on L.E. the entire time I was gone. Her dog was extremely sweet. He and L.E. played and got along so well. We will definitely keep her in mind for the future.”

About: Our family had dogs as a kid, but I’ve been sold provider for a dog since 1999 with my first dog a catahoula named Ophelia When I work, I work from home. I have a three bedroom house in case my kids ever visit from out of town. Offense backyard and I take my dog Jax to the dog park on a daily basis. I live near the Freret corridor and we walk at least once or twice a day. I have a dog door to the backyard so the animals will have access to Pee anytime. Ample water and food as needed. I’m capable of giving medicine and shots and of course plenty of treats. My dog is a sofa dog. If you have different rules I can abide by them. Just need to be specific.
“Roxanne and Reese are awesome dog care folks! My puppy is still in the "challenging" phase and they were patient and kind and gave her a lot of fun experiences!! Recommend highly!”

About: I have welcomed dogs into my family for the past 25 years living in New Orleans, and have loved caring for them as they have certainly cared for me too! I work from home most days of the week and am rarely gone for more than a few hours for in-person meetings. I provide lots of walks along the greenway and time in my fenced yard too. I have toys for stimulation such as puzzles and can play hide and seek with toys, treats, and me! I am happy to continue implementing your schedule and use your key words and phrases to maintain training while your pup is with me. I also enjoy taking my dog Conor to City Bark where he plays with other dogs and gets a nice bath. I am happy to bring your dog there too if they are able to go. I work from home and occasionally take meetings out of my house. Those usually are not more than a few hours. Once a week I go into my office from 8-4 but come home at lunch to walk my dog Conor. I have three boys that are in school who live with me every other week. I do a school drop off and pick up every other week for one of them around 7:15 am and again around 3:00 pm. I keep my dog on a predictable schedule of feeding and walks and provide toys for stimulation. I always keep fresh water available both inside and outside so that they are not dehydrated.
“Amazing Experience with Damaris! Highly Recommend! I couldn't be more grateful for Damaris and the care she gave to my sweet Cavachon, Bella. Bella is a 5-year-old bundle of energy. Damaris went above and beyond! From the moment we met, I could tell she was a genuinely kind and sweet person who loves animals. Bella warmed up to her instantly, and I felt completely at ease leaving her in Damaris's care. Throughout the stay, Damaris kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me such peace of mind. Bella had a blast with her, and I could tell she was in loving hands the whole time.”

Crystal was amazing! I can tell my dogs were comfortable and well-loved. She was incredibly flexible with me and my chaotic trip, very communicative and responsive and created a ton of trust and comfort for me which is important considering my dogs are seniors. I’m so grateful to have found her and would rebook again and recommend her 10 times over!

Cheyenne was fabulous with Jax! Very responsive to communication, flexible, and reliable! Although it was a short notice booking she made me feel very comfortable in leaving him with her for three nights. She sent pictures throughout and updates on their activities each day. Definitely recommend and would use again!

Great experience! Our dog was so well taken care of, and it was obvious she got lots of love and attention. I really appreciated the updates and pictures while I was away, and even got a sweet report card! I came back to a happy pup, and we’ll definitely be using her again!!

Pauline did a great job taking care of Tupelo. She is very thoughtful about caring for Tupelo and asked a bunch of questions to understand the pup’s needs and routines. Pauline provided a couple of pictures and updates everyday, and was very accommodating when our flight was delayed and we were a few hours late to pick her up. I would definitely recommend Pauline!

Brittany was yet again magnificent - and that was no short feat given my dog’s needs this trip. My senior dog has had some aging health issues lately that flared up in a never before seen way during this sitting session. Brittany kept me totally in the loop, dealt with the insanity with deep care, and problem solved to get to a place where my pup was able to be so incredibly comfortable for the majority. A million thanks wouldn’t be enough.

Here’s a polished review you could leave: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars I cannot say enough great things about the care Mochi received! From the moment I dropped him off, I knew he was in good hands. He was well cared for and I received regular videos and updates that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. When I picked him up, everything was clean, organized, and Mochi looked happy, healthy, and well-loved. One thing that stood out to me was that he never seemed stressed or unhappy during his stay. It was clear that he was treated with patience, kindness, and genuine care. The communication was excellent, the environment was welcoming, and the level of professionalism exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely trust her with Mochi again and highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive dog sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my baby! 🐾❤️

Amazing first Rover experience with Natasha! She met us and our Sadie Bug first on a virtual meet and greet, which we really appreciated. She accommodated us with drop off and pick up times that worked for my husband, as I was already in another state. She sent pictures and text messages to keep us informed and let us see that Sadie Bug was doing well. When my was loading Sadie’s belongings into the car at pickup, Sadie was happy in Natasha’s arms. That told me everything! 100% recommend this wonderful person! ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
