“This was our first time leaving Hazel with someone. We were nervous, but Roxanne & Reese made us feel at ease immediately. We were very pleased with how welcoming they were to her and even more happy to hear that she was a very good girl while we were gone.”

“Robin was more than AMAZING !!!!! she spoiled my babies with walks and snuggles and lots and lots of love !!!!! I got countless updates and pictures and videos !!! She was just all around amazing . Will be using her forever and ever !!!!!”

“This was my first time ever leaving my dog with a sitter and it couldn't have been a better experience. Serena and AJ were very communicative and responsible. Received daily updates and pictures of Remi which really put my mind at ease. Highly recommend!”

“Kenneth watched my dog nova for a day and overnight when I went to a Mardi Gras parade and I can’t be more pleased. First off it was last minute and during Mardi Gras nonetheless so it was very challenging to find someone, Kenneth made it easy and responded to my request almost immediately. I was able to drop nova off and felt like I left her in good hands. Kenneth sent me lots of videos and photos during his time with nova which was also super appreciated. And finally when I was an hour late picking her up because I lost my keys and had to wait on a locksmith, he didn’t mind. Overall if I could give 6 stars I would and if I need a dog sitter in New Orleans again I know who to ask. Thanks so much Kenneth!”

“Natasha was great! Easy and fast communication, lots of pictures of a happy dog when we were out of town. When our flights got delayed coming home, she was able to watch our dog for an unexpected additional half day, no problem. Would definitely recommend booking with Natasha as a dog sitter!”

About: Mine was a dog family. My parents showed Chow Chows and Bichon Frisés at dog shows around the country with me in tow as a junior handler grooming, training, and caring for our dogs. In college, rather than wait tables, I worked as a kennel assistant and then as a veterinarian assistant during post-grad, spending weekends caring for medical boarders, administering meds and keeping lonely, isolated dogs company. I’m a deeply attached and passionate rescue advocate and animal-lover. My pets have all been mostly large, lovable mixed-breed dogs and second-chance stories like Betsey. Professionally, I have 20+ years of experience as a copywriter and creative strategist. Before starting Betsey & Julie Walk Dogs, I spent the past year as a Dog Handler at Pawlins Day Care — under the tutelage of all kinds of dogs. I’m a freelance writer and I work from home. I share this home with Betsey, an incredibly sweet five-year-old Labrador Retriever. I’m available and actively involved in your dog’s enrichment and overall experience. I’m active and attentive. Betsey and I are affectionate and accommodating. We love walks, parks, toys, treats, and cuddling. We think your dog will love spending time with us.
“We love Nicole watching our Siberian Husky! We had a slight emergency, in which we had to extend our dog's stay.. Nicole was more than willing to accommodate us and went above and beyond to help us out. She's constantly sending us updates about her dog as well as fun pictures of her playing with Nicole's dogs. I cannot recommend Nicole's services enough, and my only regret is that I cannot leave more than 5 stars!”

“Evilin was wonderful! She took great care of our dogs, especially our senior dog, and clearly gave them lots of attention. She spent plenty of time with them outside and sent us many photos of her playing with the puppies, which we really appreciated. She has a large yard that both dogs loved. It’s clear she’s a natural with animals. We would highly recommend her!”
“River had a wonderful time with Whitney. She was very patient with him and gave him time to adjust to his unfamiliar environment. I will definitely use her again for boarding.”

“This was my first time booking on Rover and I’m glad I had such a great experience booking with Aja! She was communicative through the whole process and shared plenty of updates while she had Beethoven! I would highly recommend! Thank you so much :)”

“I highly recommend Cheyenne as a pet sitter! Satchmo just stayed with her for two nights, and she was absolutely amazing with him. He was dealing with some nerves, but she was incredibly patient, worked right through his issues, and helped him completely relax. She also sent great photos throughout his stay to keep me updated, which I really appreciated. I couldn't be happier with the care she provided!”

“Alejandra did an awesome job, and provided regular updates twice a day. It was great too because she asked me about the time change in Vietnam and I got an update in the morning and evening every day on my schedule. It was so wonderful to know my baby was well taken care of while I was halfway across the world!”

“Randy is amazing! Did a spontaneous weekend trip to NOLA and brought my dog along and needed a sitter He was quick to take her in with open arms. Thank you for the great care so last minute!”

“Chayanne was great with my best friend Phil. He came home happy and healthy and appropriately tired. She was super flexible with my schedule changes and a good communicator. Recommend!”

“Michelle is so sweet and cared for my babies as if they were her own. She made them feel comfortable and relaxed while maintaining their daily routines. I look forward to booking with her again!”

“Katherine and Ethan were great with Bruno! It was our first time leaving him with people that werent family and he got along great. They have 2 dogs brady and gus that were awesome for companionship and burning his energy. Katherine was also great for updating us throughout the day. Five stars and would definitely recommend!! Caroline did an amazing job watching Tupelo! She was highly prepared, asked a bunch of questions, and was super attentive to our dog’s needs. We were out of town for almost two weeks and everything went smoothly. We got pictures and/or updates a couple of times per day, and Tupelo looked like she was having a better time on vacation than we were 😂 We highly recommend Caroline and have already planning Tupelo’s next stay with her!

Keyona was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! We started with a meet and greet first that went extremely well. She even gave me a recommendation upon noticing how my pup pulls on leash. I had a pickup and drop off doggy care and she was extremely prompt, sent daily photos, and check-ins. A week of me being at peace and not wondering how my baby was doing he was well cared for and he was even trained into a routine. I cannot wait for another experience

Excellent dog sitter! She had great communication throughout the entire time and kept me updated with several messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear my dog was well cared for and happy. I will definitely be hiring her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive sitter!

Andrea and Oscar did a wonderful job! They ensured that my dogs received all their food, snacks, and treats on their regular schedules. They sent a ton of pictures and videos showing how much fun my dogs were having staying with them, whether playing, exploring, or napping on various beds and blankets. Andrea and Oscar's dogs were incredibly friendly: my dogs played all weekend with them. This meant they got lots of exercise and lots of good rest! Lucy and Grizzy are coming back home having learned some Spanish, so I need to practice "vamos" and "comida" at home. It can be really stressful to travel, but I know the next time I leave town, Lucy and Grizzy will have the absolute best time staying with Andrea and Oscar. Will book again!

Thank you so much for keeping our senior, high maintenance dog over the Christmas holiday. Victoria went above and beyond and even gave our pup an adorable Christmas sweater. She took great care of our dog, who required 2 shots of insulin a day, a crazy feeding schedule and a few extra pills and eyedrops too! She's a complete rockstar.

Amber took such great care of my baby!! He was right at home and was so happy from the time he arrived until the time I picked him up! She was able to help me out with a last minute booking while I had an unscheduled move and was so great with everything! I will definitely be booking with her again and I highly recommend her to anyone! She will make your baby feel like her own and make sure they have everything they need to feel comfortable. Nothing but the highest praises for Amber!

Dex was a wonderful dog boarding experience for Spike my dog. I’ve never seen Spike so calm and reassured than when they were staying at Dex, so I’m beyond appreciative for the care that was extended to my little fur baby and the consistent communication that kept me connected even when I was away. I highly recommend you book with Dex.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
