I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have experience with a wide range of personalities, from high-energy dogs to more sensitive or anxious ones. I’m especially attentive to a dog’s emotional needs and body language, and I prioritize making them feel safe, calm, and understood in their environment. I have hands-on experience with crate training, building positive associations, and helping dogs develop confidence when left alone. I’m patient, consistent, and gentle in my approach. I tailor care to each dog rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, I treat every dog as if they were my own and aim to create a calm, secure experience for them while you’re away. I occasionally bring dogs that are comfortable with other dogs on field trips to the Wisner Trail dog park but usually the splash pad and the large yard at my home is comparable!

Abby is absolutely a godsend! Her place is literally a dog heaven for all furry babies. I enjoyed my 3 weeks trip without worrying about my two furry children knowing they were in good hands and probably having more fun than I did. Abby is so sweet, kind and definitely reliable. Her love for the dogs is like sunshine in the month of May, warm and soft, no wonder they love to cuddle with her all day long. Personally I don’t want to share her with others but I would love to share her with other dogs ❤️
I set up a meet-and-greet with Abby to see her space, and I could instantly tell she’s a true dog person. Her communication is excellent, and she sends pictures and videos throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind. My pups came home happy and tired after a fun-filled day. I highly recommend her!

Abby did an awesome job with our two pups. She accommodated us at short notice. She is very sweet and her love for dogs is obvious. We received daily pics and updates on our dogs. She has a huge yard for dogs to have fun. We felt very comfortable with our dogs in her care and would definitely use Abby again!
Cared for my poodle and doodle very well. Sent update pictures often. Will have Abby care for my pups again

Schedule
I’m a full-time dog sitter and spend most of the time at my house, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. I have a large fenced in yard for the zoomies and I’ve dedicated a fold out couch for the dog in addition to my bed for any cuddle bubs! There’s a splash-pad and cooling stations so no one overheats after a big romp around the yard. Occasionally will take dogs on a field trip to Wisner Trail pending patent approval. I structure my days around walks, play, and downtime, and I’m mindful of keeping routines consistent so pets feel secure. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and extended care on both weekdays and weekends, and I prioritize being present and your dogs will rarely, if at all, be left alone.

I’m located in a quiet part of the outer 9th ward. My neighbors are friendly dog lovers too. I provide a calm, structured, and attentive environment where your pet’s safety and comfort are the top priority. I pay close attention to body language, energy levels, and individual needs, and I adjust my approach to help each dog feel safe and understood. I’m experienced with crate use, positive reinforcement, and helping dogs settle in new environments. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible and take care to avoid overwhelming situations, especially for more sensitive or anxious dogs. I know when to separate dogs and how to read body language before any accidents can transpire. ALL feeding is done seperate to any aggression. In your home or mine, I maintain a clean, predictable space and ensure pets are supervised, exercised appropriately, and never left in situations where they could feel unsafe or stressed.

A typical day
I love taking high energy dogs to Wisner trail for some fun off leash play but I’m also happy to accommodate any kind of needs. I have a really large, secure fenced-in yard and I have a water splash mat for the dogs to play on and keep cool. I’m also aware of training needs and am happy to help reinforce any commands or needs you might need tailored to your dogs. Dogs sleep in the bed with me unless you’d prefer otherwise.
