I have been formally pet sitting and house sitting for 10 years. I am currently a graduate student studying art and I have a lot of flexibility during the mornings, evenings, and weekends for pet care. I have a car and love zipping around town to provide walks or meals! I love taking walks and exploring neighborhoods with the furry friends. My home is very pet friendly with a fenced-in back yard and plenty of inside space to occupy. I can easily accommodate crate trained animals as well. About: I’ve always been a huge animal lover, and some of the greatest loves of my life have had four paws. I had my sweet cat, Henry, for four wonderful years before he passed away, and for the last three years I helped raise and care for an adorable Goldendoodle who now lives with her other pet parent. I don’t currently have a fur baby of my own, so I genuinely love getting the chance to care for other people’s pets. I’ve also spent years pet sitting for friends and family, and I know how much trust it takes to leave someone you love in another person’s care. I only board pets from one household at a time, so your fur baby gets plenty of individual attention and a calm, secure environment without unfamiliar pets coming and going. I have a large fenced-in yard for supervised outdoor time, and I’m also walking distance from a beautiful large park that’s perfect for longer walks and exploring. I have a dog crate available for crate-trained pups, and I’m happy to follow your usual feeding, walking, sleeping, and household routines so your pet feels as comfortable and at home as possible while you’re away.

About: Growing up, my nuclear family cared for roughly thirty cats, both indoor and outdoor. Naturally, part of my daily routine was feeding them all before getting on the school bus, keeping the litter boxes and surrounding areas tidy throughout the day, and of course providing AMPLE love to all. I have experience nursing abandoned kittens to health and maturity, as well as acclimating feral cats into the home. I am more than keen when it comes to feline behavior! (My mother used to "joke" that her four children should come together and open a vet clinic.) Today, my husband and I have a well-trained, 3 year old shepherd mix named Poet, whom we adopted at just 8 weeks old, and a 5 year old American bobtail kitty named Millie, who we also rescued. We both work from home and our animals are our absolute lives. Normal days for us include walks around the neighborhood, as well as trips to City Bark. We have a fenced in backyard for potty time, as well as sun bathing. Both as our animal have free reign of our home; they watch TV with us, answer email with us, snooze with us, cook with us, etc.! You can trust that your fur baby would be met with the same love, adoration, and care that we provide to our own. Both my husband and myself work from home and are able to provide near-constant care for your fur babies, whether that pertain to potty breaks or play time! We have a modest fenced in yard, as well as one dog and one cat of our own. Both are friendly with all species! We have ample space (spare bedrooms) to set up up a crate/kennel if desired.

About: I grew up with several dogs and adopted my own pitbull when i was 22. Sadly I lost her last year at age 14 after a full and happy life. While I am currently pet-free, I would love to help care for others’ pets. I have decades of experience caring for dogs and cats as well as housesitting for several families. About: Ive pet sit since I was 14, both paid and unpaid, and I love it! I have experience with difficult dogs/cats (multiple high energy pups in one home) and a moody pet does not scare me off. Currently, 30 hours, of my week (~5hrs a day) is spent at my job at a cafe. Outside of that I can fit your fur baby into my schedule before or after work or on my off days! About: My family rescued our first dog, April from the local dive bar when I was six years old. According to the vet, April was just two weeks. She had been separated from her mother at birth and hadn’t even opened her eyes yet. My parents worried she'd be too much trouble. I begged to keep her and promised I'd take care of her. April became my sister, my best friend, and my greatest teacher. I fed April from a bottle, taught her how to walk up the stairs, and took her to puppy training classes. April taught me the practice of presence, and the value of unconditional love. Our time spent together makes up some of my most cherished childhood memories. At the age of 13, pet-sitting became my first job. I loved it so much, I didn’t even understand how it could be considered a job. I took care of the animals, and the animals took care of me. In my decade+ of pet-sitting, I’ve worked with a range of breeds, ages, and temperaments. Walking 100lb. pitbulls with fear aggression. Administering medication to seniors. Feeding finicky rescued stray cats. I even fostered and re-homed an abandoned puppy that found me on the beaches of Costa Rica. I can confidently claim that I’ve never once had an animal “reject” me as their caretaker, and I think that says a lot. In the last 6 years, I’ve been living and traveling as a digital nomad. My lifestyle doesn’t currently allow for a pet of my own, so pet-sitting is a blessing that allows me the opportunity to care for pets as if they were my own. I work part-time as a meditation & yoga teacher, and part-time remote as an event organizer. This lifestyle allows me to be very flexible in taking on pet-sitting and house-sitting opportunities. I can build most of my work day around your pets schedule (and I'm more than happy to do so!) I offer long-term and short-term visits and overnight stays to take care of your pets in their own home. I've found that, for most pets, being in the security and routine of their own environment is the best way for them to cope with their owners temporary absence. I make sure to upkeep your pet's sense of "normalcy" to the best of my ability by feeding and walking them at regular intervals, being an active participant in play time (when desired), giving them snuggles (when desired), and just keeping them company! I make sure to upkeep YOUR sense of "normalcy" by respecting your space, keeping it as clean and organized as when I arrive (if not even more so), and following any & all house rules. In addition to overnights, I LOVE to take on daily walks and wellness checks when you're at work or just too busy to do it all on your own!

About: Hello there! My name is Anika and I used to be a pet caregiver on Rover a while ago when I was going through college, but decided to reactivate my account to come back on board! A little bit about myself... I received my Master's Degree from LSU and have been working in my career field for a few years now, but I still very much enjoy spending time with animals and thought that continuing with Rover was a great way to be able to spend time with animals while making an extra income on the side! Therefore, although I am newly back on Rover, I have been with Rover in the past. I am also a go-to foster and volunteer for several local rescue groups, so I have experience with all types of animals (mainly cats and dogs) and welcome all. I have also grown up with animals my whole life and my sweet beloved senior dog recently passed away; my "soul dog" as some may say. I had him for a little over 13 amazing years. However, being able to work with and volunteer with animals has really been great, which is why I definitely wanted to continue with Rover again. I am also accepting new customers and now offering lower rates as well! You can rest assure that when you leave your beloved fur babies with me that they are in great hands. About: I’ve been taking care of animals for most of my life. I love high energy animals and taking care of them. I grew up with a dog and cat I still have and care for and more recently I have been a volunteer at the Humane Society, I even ended up starting my own club of volunteers in high school. This role has equipped me with all sorts of animal care skills such as cleaning after them, bathing them, feeding them and administering medication, and making sure to provide lots of love and attention. I’ve always said that I’m not a dog or cat person when asked, but rather an animal person. I love animals and caring after them. I am a college student at Tulane University and I am currently home for the summer! I am available until June 22nd and have open availability all day every day until then. About: I have had pets my whole life. Also, I prefer dogs but I have a couple years of experience helping out with my sister’s cats. I currently work remotely. So, I can be wherever you need me on any given day or time. I don’t normally work on weekends. I live with my girlfriend and her Boston Terrier ‘Haley’. She has a fenced in backyard to run around in and gets to chase around the ball a lot.

About: I used to work in a veterinarian hospital and also have always had pets of my own. Caring for animals has always been something I love. Transporting your animals to and from the island can be very difficult so I am more than happy to make accommodations whether that be in my home or yours. I work on our family farm from 7am to around 2pm. I am fully committed to making my schedule work around your animal’s schedules to provide the best care to them and keep them comfortable. I have a 15 acre farm that our dogs are allowed to free roam, if yours is not, kenneling is an option as well as GPS collars that are able to set perimeters.

About: I’ve had a pet my whole life! Growing up, we always had a dog (from a rat terrier to a boxer to a black lab)! I also have a cat of my own that I got a few years ago my little baby!! I love all animals and hope I can take care of them while you are away! I am currently in graduate school to be a speech pathologist and am looking for a part time job pet sitting! I love animals so much and would love to help out pet owners in any way I can bc I know how hard it can be to have time to take care of your little fur babies! I have clinic and classes throughout the week at various times but I am available most weekdays after 3-4pm and anytime on weekends! I make sure I have the best things for my pets at home! We have plenty of toys that we play with them with, I just bought my cat a new stainless steel water bowl bc I found that it’s better for their skin health, treats of course!, and a fenced back yard with plenty of space for our pitbull to get her zoomies out!
