I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. About: I have had pets my whole life, both cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. I have learned how to interact with, take care of, and build lasting bonds with every one of them. My youngest and most recent kitten I adopted was just 8 weeks old when I got him. He is now a strong, loving, and happy 1 year old boy! I treat every animal I come across as family, as if they were my own. I am currently working full time, Monday through Friday from 7am till 4pm. I am willing to do drop in visits on weekdays, I just ask for a week in advance notice. On Saturdays and Sundays I am very flexible. I am a very punctual and reliable pet sitter, so if there are specific times needed to drop in, or random times, I will make it happen. About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and they’ve always been at the center of my world. My most recent pup, Effy, was with me for 15 years — she was truly the love of my life. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I couldn’t imagine my life without them, which is why I’m so excited to be here on Rover! Your pet will be loved and cared for like my own. I can’t wait to meet them I work from home Monday–Friday, so your pet will have my full attention throughout the day — no long stretches alone. I am able to work remotely so care during the day is no issue. I live in an apartment in Meraux above my dad’s office, so while there’s no yard, we have plenty of space to get outside for walks. There are stairs, but I’m happy to carry pets up and down as needed.
