Dalia said that has typically not been an issue for her and turns out she was right! They seemed to really love her and warmed up quickly. She played ball with them and gave them time go romp in her large backyard but also walked them daily. She even sent a photo of them cuddling with her daughter on the sofa. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I try to keep your pets schedule as similar to what they are used to with you. Feeding/ walking/ playing/ sleeping/ waking up will all be as close to their normal schedule as possible. Their comfort is my first priority.
About: I have experience with all kinds of animals including horses, goats, and chickens. Dogs are the best. I can't remember a time where I did not have a dog in my life. Originally from TX in the US marines me and my wife have a lovely Australian Shepherd named Gracie who is our best buddy 🙌🏻 we love her so much. We take her for long walks everyday and she eats homemade food. I am looking for a 2nd job, and pet care would be an amazing 2nd job. I can care for the pet on weekends, and once I get off work. My normal work week is Monday-Friday 6am-430pm or 0600 to 1630 Honestly probly depends on the pet, younger dogs especially puppies need more attention than older dogs, and older dogs may have different needs. It's case by case basis, on what each pet needs. I do like to play with the dogs I care for.

About: I have had pets my whole life. Also, I prefer dogs but I have a couple years of experience helping out with my sister’s cats. I currently work remotely. So, I can be wherever you need me on any given day or time. I don’t normally work on weekends. I live with my girlfriend and her Boston Terrier ‘Haley’. She has a fenced in backyard to run around in and gets to chase around the ball a lot.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets. I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. About: Growing up, my nuclear family cared for roughly thirty cats, both indoor and outdoor. Naturally, part of my daily routine was feeding them all before getting on the school bus, keeping the litter boxes and surrounding areas tidy throughout the day, and of course providing AMPLE love to all. I have experience nursing abandoned kittens to health and maturity, as well as acclimating feral cats into the home. I am more than keen when it comes to feline behavior! (My mother used to "joke" that her four children should come together and open a vet clinic.) Today, my husband and I have a well-trained, 3 year old shepherd mix named Poet, whom we adopted at just 8 weeks old, and a 5 year old American bobtail kitty named Millie, who we also rescued. We both work from home and our animals are our absolute lives. Normal days for us include walks around the neighborhood, as well as trips to City Bark. We have a fenced in backyard for potty time, as well as sun bathing. Both as our animal have free reign of our home; they watch TV with us, answer email with us, snooze with us, cook with us, etc.! You can trust that your fur baby would be met with the same love, adoration, and care that we provide to our own. Both my husband and myself work from home and are able to provide near-constant care for your fur babies, whether that pertain to potty breaks or play time! We have a modest fenced in yard, as well as one dog and one cat of our own. Both are friendly with all species! We have ample space (spare bedrooms) to set up up a crate/kennel if desired.

“I'm just so pleased with Dalia after my dogs' first stay with her! They're generally very anxious with new people. Dalia said that has typically not been an issue for her and turns out she was right! They seemed to really love her and warmed up quickly. She sent loads of video and photo updates and let me know how they were adjusting, which was WELL! She played ball with them and gave them time go romp in her large backyard but also walked them daily. She even sent a photo of them cuddling with her daughter on the sofa. Their stay with her was fairly short but I'm so impressed with how quickly they settled with her and how she invited them in as part of her family for the time she had them. She noticed a wound on our pup that we weren’t aware of, cleaned and treated it, and let us know right away.
