“Shelby is definitely the best around. We came from Florida with our dog Ace and she kept us updated the whole weekend with pictures and videos. Ace seemed to have enjoyed his stay. We have had quite a few dog sitters but she is awesome. Thank you so much Shelby.”

“Ellen is a wonderful pet caretaker. I will definitely leave Charo with her again. She took her on lots of walks and sent me many photos. I highly recommend Ellen.”

“Tyrone and his son are awesome. He’s very responsive with last minute requests and takes care of your dog like his own. He’s clearly super knowledgeable about dogs and my baby Avery had an amazing time with him. He sent videos of him playing with the other dogs as well! I’ve booked twice already and definitely intend on rebooking with Ty again!”

“Roxanne and Reese are awesome dog care folks! My puppy is still in the "challenging" phase and they were patient and kind and gave her a lot of fun experiences!! Recommend highly!”

“Highly recommend Chayanne! She did a fantastic job taking care of our Corgi for a week while we were in Nola being tourists. She updated us with pictures and took excellent care of our baby. We will definitely book again.”

About: I have over 7 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, focusing on daily walks and overnight care. For the past 5 years, I have raised my own gentle pup, Poopoo, who is well-trained and keeps me experienced in consistent walking, feeding, and providing comfort at night. Before that, I spent 2 years in Korea helping my family raise another dog, giving me a strong background in handling different breeds and personalities. I also have 2 cats at home who are very friendly with other pets! Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me not only to walk their dogs but also to care for them overnight when they travel. I make sure each dog feels safe and loved—whether it’s long walks for active dogs, gentle care for seniors, or overnight stays where they get the comfort of a steady routine. I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to dog walks and overnight care. I usually work part-time, so I’m available for morning and evening walks on weekdays, as well as extended overnight stays when you need to travel. On weekends, I can offer even more flexible availability for boarding and longer walks, making sure your pup gets the exercise, love, and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. At home, I live in a pet-friendly environment with a calm, well-trained dog who is used to other pets. I make sure walks are always safe—using secure leashes and keeping a close eye on surroundings. For overnight care, I provide a quiet and comfortable space where your pup can feel at ease, and I always follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, routines, and any special needs.
“Lynn takes great care of Freddie with the added benefit that he is the only dog while there! Many videos and pics so we felt connected while away. He is “a lot” sometimes wanting to play constantly however Lynn is up for the challenge! We will call on her service again! Thank you”

“Dalia took such great care of my little Pomeranian Frankie! She sent photo/video updates everyday and was great with communicating and coordinating. She was even able to drop him off on a holiday, which really helped my schedule that day. Thanks so much!!”

“I could not have asked for a better sitter, more flexible and communicative during a disaster of a trip, with layovers being extended, she communicated clearly and was flexible to keep my pet, I will definately use her again for this service”

“My dog had such a great experience with Margaret. Margaret sent videos and photos from daily walks with my baby. Belle was in great hands. I trust Margaret and will be using her services again for as long as she is available. Thank you Margaret.”

“My little Lola stayed with Ms Stacey this past weekend. I must admit I was very hesitate about leaving her for 4 days with a stranger, but Ms Stacey's warm welcome was so inviting to both Lola and myself. It really set my heart at ease as Ms Stacey sent daily updates. She enjoyed having Lola over and it seems that Lola enjoyed it as well. We plan to let her spend the night once a month to get play time and interaction with other puppies. Ms Stacey is awesome and I highly recommend her! ”

About: I've raised a Chihuahua mix (14 yrs/13 lbs) and a German Shepherd (14 yrs/120 lbs) from when they were puppies, but both of my fur babies have gone to doggie heaven… so I’ve decided to help out my fellow pet parents instead of giving in to kitty and puppy fever :) I've also cared for my family and friend's dogs while they were on vacation (Chihuahua, Maltese, Golden Retriever, Yorkie) and have cat sitting experience from my previous clients. Located in the heart of the CBD but open to other parts of the New Orleans metro area based on availability. I'm currently at home most days and am attending grad school online to get my MBA. I'm job searching and am looking to help in the meantime! I still have pet supplies (feeding bowls, leash, shampoo, etc) at my home and enough space for them to run around inside and outside in a fenced-in yard. Your pet would be staying with me in my room, and I have enough space to set up a bed or crate of varying sizes.
“Christine made my baby’s first sitting experience so easy! She was very attentive to his specific needs and kept me informed throughout the entire visit. I met with her before the planned visit to ensure my baby would be a good fit for her and her family (very important). I definitely will rebook another visit with her!”

“Lindsey and her family were fantastic while watching my pup. This was my first time using Rover, so I was nervous, but Lindsey sent plenty of updates/videos/pictures which really eased my anxiety. I will definitely be using Lindsey again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have experience with a wide range of personalities, from high-energy dogs to more sensitive or anxious ones. I’m especially attentive to a dog’s emotional needs and body language, and I prioritize making them feel safe, calm, and understood in their environment. I have hands-on experience with crate training, building positive associations, and helping dogs develop confidence when left alone. I’m patient, consistent, and gentle in my approach, and I tailor care to each dog rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, I treat every dog as if they were my own and aim to create a calm, secure experience for them while you’re away. I occasionally bring my well-socialized dog with me for longer stays, but only with prior approval and proper introductions. I’m a full-time dog sitter and spend most of the time at my house, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. I have a large fenced in yard for the digs to have zoomies in! There’s a splash-pad and cooling stations so no one overheats. I structure my days around walks, play, and downtime, and I’m mindful of keeping routines consistent so pets feel secure. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and extended care on both weekdays and weekends, and I prioritize being present and your dogs will rarely, if at all, be left alone. I provide a calm, structured, and attentive environment where your pet’s safety and comfort are the top priority. I pay close attention to body language, energy levels, and individual needs, and I adjust my approach to help each dog feel secure and understood. I’m experienced with crate use, positive reinforcement, and helping dogs settle in new environments. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible and take care to avoid overwhelming situations, especially for more sensitive or anxious dogs. In your home or mine, I maintain a clean, predictable space and ensure pets are supervised, exercised appropriately, and never left in situations where they could feel unsafe or stressed.
“Robin was wonderful with our Luna. She has a great place that Luna loved exploring and sent us sweet pics of her playing. I'd recommend Robin and world use her again.”

I highly recommend Cheyenne as a pet sitter! Satchmo just stayed with her for two nights, and she was absolutely amazing with him. He was dealing with some nerves, but she was incredibly patient, worked right through his issues, and helped him completely relax. She also sent great photos throughout his stay to keep me updated, which I really appreciated. I couldn't be happier with the care she provided!

We couldn’t be happier with Myk! He took our Labradoodle, Juno, on very short notice, and from the moment we dropped him off, we knew he was in great hands. Myk kept us updated throughout Juno’s stay with plenty of photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. He was always quick to reply whenever we reached out and made the whole experience completely stress-free. Juno looked like he had an absolute blast playing with Myk’s Lab, Izzy, and even spending time around his cat, Peri. It was obvious he was comfortable, well cared for, and treated like part of the family. Seeing how happy Juno was made all the difference. If you’re looking for someone who is kind, dependable, communicative, and genuinely loves animals, I highly recommend Myk. We’ll definitely be booking with him again, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our boy!

Etta has watched Kiwi twice now and each time has been a wonderful and seamless experience. Kiwi gets to socialize with other dogs while staying in a comfortable environment. I know she gets plenty of love and attention, and even makes art for me during her stay (I now have to pieces proudly displayed in my home)! Etta is great with updates and overall communication, making being away from Kiwi as easy as possible. I highly recommend her for looking after your fur baby.

Rachel and Matt were fantastic. Our dog is a challenge because he is at risk of seizures, which require regular medication. That would be enough, but he is also a very bossy, reactive herding dog. None of that was a problem for Rachel and Matt, who took it all in stride. They kept us informed and took good care of our pup. They were wonderful.

I can't say enough good things about Blair. You can tell she has a real love abd passion for your fur baby while in her care. I've never trusted anyone with my Sandi besides my late mother. But shetruly put me at ease, allowing me to turn Already booked my second sitting with her 🔥🙏🏽

Thank you Roxanne for taking such great care of Milo duing our vacation. Sometimes Milo can be anxious when we pick him up which means he was nervous during the stay, however, he was happy and calm when we got him. So I know he enjoyed being with you and your family. Again, thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
