“Chloe was wonderful! She was quick to respond to messages, arrived on time, was so caring and sweet to our puppy, and respectful of our space! I would absolutely recommend her and would book again without any hesitation! Thank you Chloe for keeping our pup company and giving her lots of love!”

About: Foster dog mom and dog sitter. Recently lost my beagle and miss pup time. I treat my friend’s dogs like my own and they actually encouraged me to start a profile. I like walking and don’t mind slow sniffers. I’m aware of squirrels and cats in my neighborhood and avoid them when necessary. I work full time but have availability evenings and weekends. Looking forward to long walks, tails wagging while sniffing and again meeting daily step goals. I have a small backyard and shotgun house which I own. I can crate if necessary but if your fur baby is trustworthy, I’m happy to let him or her free range guard my house during the day. The window facing the street is typically pretty entertaining. I got rid of my dog camera when Maggie passed away but may set an iPad up, again. Meet n Greets prior to a stay is a must, my foster dog is dog-shy at first but loves people.
“Lynda was fantastic! She was reliable, knowledgeable and knew how to manage my cat. She kept me up to date with pictures and photos. Will definitely contact her the next time we need a cat sitter! ?”

“Jennifer was great! Responsible, good communication and kept good care of our dog through check-ins while we were out of town. I would defy recommend her!”

“Faith was great with my four cats! Even the one who hides all the time she made sure he had his food. Twice a day feedings and litter maintenance. Will for sure request her again!”

“She gave great updates and pictures of both my cat and dog. You could tell she really enjoyed being with them and they loved having her come and play. I will be recommending her to all my friends and use her again!”

“Elise is truly a gem! She cared for our two cats, Thor and Freya, this April and once again delivered such a comforting, reliable experience. Her Rover cards were thoughtful and full of adorable photos that showed just how relaxed and happy the cats were in her care. It gave me so much peace of mind to see them playing, lounging, and clearly feeling safe with her. Elise is consistent, communicative, and brings a calm energy our cats absolutely love. I’m always grateful to have her as a sitter — she’s someone I trust completely.”

“Alyce was phenomenal! 10/10! I went out of town for the weekend for a wedding and knew my Princey was in the best care. She gave me updates for each walk and house sit that included the sweetest pictures. My dog has a fear of loud noises, separation anxiety, and is older so can be a grumpy old man but he loved her welcoming, calm energy and she catered to his needs beatutifully. Would absolutely recommend her and will be using her again in the future!”

“Abby is amazing! She was quick to communicate, great about a little meet and greet before watching my pups. The boys love her and she followed all my instructions perfectly.”

“Natalie is a great per sitter! We were able to count on her during our travels away from home. She did a great job taking care of our cat and keeping us informed through messages and photos.”

About: My parents had dogs and cats before I was born, so I've literally had animals my entire life. As a young adult living in NYC, I shared a small apartment with two dogs and two cats for nearly 20 years. They were the center of my world, and honestly, the most important things in my life. More than 30 years later, I still dream about them. I’ve always loved animals—every single one. I’ve traveled the world to encounter and marvel at them. I’m the person who will stop at nothing to rescue the baby squirrel, injured bird, or stray dog, and who tries to gently guide the errant bug back outside, even though it completely grosses me out. But beyond loving animals, I'm also a preternaturally mature, responsible adult. I’m 58 (my mom would argue I’ve been 58 since I was five), and I retired early, which means I'm home, unhurried, and genuinely available, aside from taking long walks, swimming, yoga, and social plans. Having spent decades relying on pet sitters and dog walkers myself, I understand firsthand what separates someone adequate from someone truly invaluable. You're not just trusting someone with your pets — you're trusting them with your home, your routines, and the beings you love most in the world. I take that seriously. I'm attentive, observant, communicative, and calm in a crisis. I notice when something seems off in your house, with your pet, or otherwise. At this point in my life, I don't want another pet of my own — the emotional effort and the inevitable heartbreak. What I do want is more animals in my days: the walks, the companionship, the silliness, the comfort. In many ways, I've become the grandparent option — thrilled to love, walk, spoil, and care for your pets wholeheartedly, then hand them back to you exhausted and adored. I'm retired, so I have plenty of time. I can walk dogs or pop in to check on your pets anytime during the morning, daytime, or early evening. I'm also available to stay overnight. I care for pets in clients’ homes the same way I always hoped people would care for mine: attentively, responsibly, affectionately, and with enormous respect for both the animals and the home itself. I understand that allowing someone into your home and entrusting them with beloved pets requires a tremendous amount of trust. Having spent decades as both a pet owner and homeowner myself, I take that responsibility very seriously. I’m mature, observant, communicative, calm under pressure, and exceptionally conscientious. If something seems off with your pet, your home, or anything else, I will notice it and communicate immediately. I treat your home as I would my own - with care. It helps that I am extremely neat and tidy (maybe a tad OCD when it comes to cleanliness...). And, I am happy to follow any rules or guidelines the client has. As for the animals themselves, I genuinely enjoy being with them. I’m happy to do long walks, slower strolls, playtime, snuggling on the couch, medication routines, keeping to familiar schedules, or simply providing calm companionship and reassurance while you’re away. I know firsthand how much pets thrive on consistency, patience, affection, and a sense of safety. At this stage in my life, I do this because I truly enjoy reconnecting with the joy animals bring to everyday life. I’m not trying to build a huge business or rush through appointments. I simply love animals and enjoy caring for them well.
About: Although I own 2 cats now, I grew up with dogs (large and small) and look forward to any opportunity to walk/run/play with any dogs who may need some outside time or owners that need some quiet time. I work part time and have plenty of morning or evening hours to watch or walk any dogs that need quiet company, play time, or to let off some energy. I have 2 elderly, cats at home, but am willing to come to your home or work to watch your animals. Would love for them to feel safe in their own environment.
About: Growing up with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs, I have a wide array of pet care experience for animal friends large and small. Frequent dogwalker and pet-sitter with extensive knowledge of care practices. I am a remote worker and student in my day-to-day life, so I can frequently care for pets in my off-time in between classes and while working at home. I will be open in my communication about any issues or special needs that pets will need and trust that clients will communicate any special needs to me.
“Great! Got to know Bolt during the meet and greet and then hung out with him in the middle of the day after he was comfortable. It was great!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember! Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, turtles, you name it, I’ve had at least one! I’ve worked as a professional dog walker when I lived in Boston, dog walked and house sat while living in Austin, and currently care for pets of neighbors, friends and family. I’m an uber driver with open availability to come swing by whenever needed! I am up early in the morning, and go to bed late at night! I’m centrally located, so I can be to your pet in minutes! I take caring for pets very seriously. I love to provide a loving and caring demeanor while being quiet and patient. Animals need to trust their caregiver, and I find it very important for the pet to know they can rely on me to care for them. Having a dog that requires a lot of care and extra watching, I like to treat all pets as if they are my own
New Orleans dog parents share their Rover experiences
Ashley was absolutely amazing with FJ! I initially asked that we do a meet and great and she kindly obliged. FJ was so excited to meet her. Prior to leaving town I confirmed detail with Ashley, and she was very responsive. Out the five days that we were gone Ashley provided us detailed notes and photographs, both me, and my children enjoyed reading through, of everything our pup was doing while we were gone. She also was very transparent in regards to questions she may have had and made the entire process of hiring someone through Rover so comfortable. I will happily reach out to Ashley again to help with any future care. She went above and beyond everything I could have asked for. She even took care of our pet tortoise, while we were away.

Sydney went above and beyond with my girls she is absolutely amazing and an all around beautiful person as well. I didn’t worry once about my girls while I was out of town for the first time ever and she went out of her way to do things that weren’t even required of her. I cannot thank her enough and am I am so lucky I found her !!! BOOK HER ASAP!!!!
Our older dog warmed up to Caitlin right away. We really appreciate having Caitlin watch our dog over FQ fest and Jazz Fest and look forward to having her watching her again. Caitlin kept us up to date with check-ins/photos. We couldn't be more pleased. I'd give a 10 star if they were available!
Simon was a phenomenal caretaker for my guy Cornelius. Checked in and out with every visit, communicated amazingly throughout the entire time. He definitely has a knack for taking great doggo pics. Was also able to accommodate a last minute booking and extension of service due to travel delays. Highly recommend booking with him if you want someone caring about your dogs much as you do while you’re not there!

Danielle was great! We booked her 24 hrs before an event we needed to attend when we realized our newly adopted pup had separation anxiety. She stayed in our home with both dogs for a couple hours while we were gone. She reassured us that everyone was calm and just fine, allowing us to relax and enjoy our evening. She has a calm energy about her and our dogs immediately loved her. We will definitely use her again and highly recommend Danielle!

We hired Doc for once daily check-in’s for meals and potty breaks while on vacation. Our friends were caring for them, but couldn’t stop in during work hours. Doc was incredibly patient, kind, and attentive with our pups and filled this gap! We have a mom and daughter pair of rescues who have trust issues, but Doc persisted to give them their space when needed and made sure they were comfortable anytime they entered the house. When we needed extra help at the last minute, Doc also did their best to help. Lastly, they always gave thorough updates to keep us informed about each visit. I would absolutely recommend their services for your pet’s needs!
