About: I provide attentive, individualized care designed to keep your dog's routine as consistent and comfortable as possible while you're away. Because I work from home and intentionally keep my boarding capacity small, I'm able to provide plenty of companionship, supervision, exercise, and individual attention throughout the day. To help you feel connected while you're away, I provide regular photo and video updates throughout your dog's stay. Every boarding also concludes with a personalized summary of their meals, walks, potty habits, behavior, and overall experience, so you know exactly how their stay went. I share my home with Tully, my friendly, well-socialized Golden Retriever. Because this is his home too, I prioritize good matches and a calm, comfortable environment for both resident and visiting dogs. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As a university instructor with a flexible schedule, I have the flexibility to provide frequent walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. I care for every dog as an individual, following their normal routine as closely as possible while providing regular photo updates and a personalized boarding summary at the end of each stay. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I care for every dog as an individual by following their normal feeding, potty, exercise, and sleep routines as closely as possible. I require proof of current rabies vaccination before boarding to help maintain a safe environment for every pet in my home. I provide regular photo and video updates throughout each stay so you can have peace of mind while you’re away, and every boarding concludes with a personalized summary of your dog’s stay. My goal is to create a calm, clean, and welcoming environment where your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for like family.

Michael is awesome! He loved & pampered our two little guys (an oversized pom & a papillion). We left them with him for 6-9 hours daily while helping my daughter move to an apartment in French quarter. We collected them in the evening & they were happy, fed & tuckered out from an active day of loving. If you’re anywhere near the French quarter of NOLA, Michael’s the man! Just hope he’s available when we visit NOLA again!

This is my dog’s 3rd visit with Etta. She is the best. She goes above and beyond. I broke one of the handles off my dog’s bag and she sewed it on without me even asking or knowing she could sew. She even reinforced the other strap so that wouldn’t break off. Thank you!!!

Tayler was amazing. My dog Lacey always get separation anxiety and tends to cry when I leave and is a little lack lister but Tayler was one of the few that was able to get her to eat her dinner. Lacey usually will not eat unless I or my husband feeds her, but Lacey was happy to stay with Tayler. Thanks for taking such great care of our “baby”.

Evlin was so so great with Prince. This was my first time using a sitter through rover and I'm beyond glad that all my expectations were met and more. She was super friendly and I know that Prince had a great time with her and Juicy. Prince can be somewhat finicky and I tend to get anxious leaving him in the care of others, but she made the process so easy and I had no doubt that Prince was enjoying his day care experience and being taken great care of. She sent multiple updates throughout the day, was very responsive, and you can tell she's a dog lover so I felt very safe leaving my boy in her care while I was at work. I definitely intend on using Evlin for future services and highly recommend!

She sent us update photo, which made us comfortable enough to enjoy our anniversary lunch cause our dog was in safe and loving hands ♥️ We will book Amanda again for sure and would recommend her to everyone ☺️

About: I have welcomed dogs into my family for the past 25 years living in New Orleans, and have loved caring for them as they have certainly cared for me too! I work from home most days of the week and am rarely gone for more than a few hours for in-person meetings. I provide lots of walks along the greenway and time in my fenced yard too. I have toys for stimulation such as puzzles and can play hide and seek with toys, treats, and me! I am happy to continue implementing your schedule and use your key words and phrases to maintain training while your pup is with me. I also enjoy taking my dog Conor to City Bark where he plays with other dogs and gets a nice bath. I am happy to bring your dog there too if they are able to go. I work from home and occasionally take meetings out of my house. Those usually are not more than a few hours. Once a week I go into my office from 8-4 but come home at lunch to walk my dog Conor. I have three boys that are in school who live with me every other week. I do a school drop off and pick up every other week for one of them around 7:15 am and again around 3:00 pm. I keep my dog on a predictable schedule of feeding and walks and provide toys for stimulation. I always keep fresh water available both inside and outside so that they are not dehydrated.

About: I love to have Meet&Greets. It's the best way to know if the Care Giver and pet client are compatible. I'm available only by meeting you and your pet days ahead unless special circumstances. Any modification to days and time can be discussed. 😊 I’m observant of their needs and making sure they're comfortable through their anxiety from missing parent(s). Thanks for reading. Pet care falls right into my every day schedule because I am an entrepreneur and creative artist. I also homeschool my daughter so I have time on my hands to care for others animals of any type. All animals are treated with moral respect and kindness. I love and appreciate animals they're my peace. Making sure they are given affection and attention at all times.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in New Orleans on Rover is $33.3 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 398 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across New Orleans. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your New Orleans commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 398 sitters in New Orleans, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
